I disagree with Shannon ; I LOVED that physical style of basketball!!! I grew up playing basketball in the hood and that was just how it was played. Basketball is supposed to be physical! If it's not the game becomes an exhibition and you will have what you have today- guys standing around watching each other dunk all the time. Real basketball fans liked the physical style!

The one that was perhaps questionable was games between Miami and the Knicks in the 90s. Those were pretty much slow pace, hard nosed, lots of fouls basketball. I loved it but i can see how some people would find it rather unattractive to watch.
