Thanks for the video really appreciated. Just encounter a problem that while having phone call, it has echo on the other side and its quite annoying.
Have you had the same issue? There is a option on the setting saying that use the car original bluetooth, however, it sometimes will connect the car bluetooth first then no response from screen to pop up.

Thank you for the review. I just purchased it on Amazon for my 2016 Audio S3. Different buy link to ensure comparability with s3. I had a couple of questions that the people in China can't seem to answer due to language barrier.
1. Dos the usb cable connection coming from the video/usb wiring harness provide for wired carplay also have enough Amperage to charge my Iphone 12 when plugged in? I was thinking about installing a surface mount USB extension to the left of the cigarette lighter so I can plug my phone in to charge it while driving. Also, from a stability perspective I could use wired car play so it’s a better experience. Please advise if the USB connect from their box can charge
2. On the USB/Video wiring harness, you have front-view and review yellow coax plugs. Do they need to be connected? I have an OEM car with no aftermarket cameras. The car is equipped with factory sensors and rear camera.
3. Do they come out with firmware updates for it? If so, where do you download and how do you update it?

I have a Audi A3 2015 . I have bought a carlinkit 3.0 kit off Amazon but when it arrived it comes with a usbc to USB adapter and I don’t have any usb slots in my car. It doesn’t register when I use the mmi to USB adapter . The device comes on but stays red and nothing happens on the screen ? Any help would be appreciated on letting me know what I should do

Did anyone hook this up, not have the center display pop, and the center cluster display says “entertainment unavailable”. I’m pretty sure I did everything right but it’s not working when hooked up to the device.

Hello. First of all, I found your video very helpful, thanks for that! I instaled the module and the rear camera. Everything is working perfectly except for the reverse radar image (even do my rear sensors works). Where you able to get the radar working? Thanks in advance.
Glad it helped, but for my install i used the factory reverse camera, so no radar image involved there
you probably dont care at all but does any of you know a trick to get back into an instagram account..?

Does the USB cable that is showing outside the glove box necessary? I like everything else but the fact you can see that connector?
You don’t have to use the usb, there’s a few different options. You can either solely use wireless but sometimes the connection will drop out. The other option would be to make a more permanent mount under the climate control. You can drill a hole and use a circular plastic USB port

Do you have the dip switch settings? I have a 2016 s3 with backup camera.. I can’t read the instructions well enough to figure it out, and they can’t explain it.

Hi does your car have reverse camera? Are the yellow camera plugs not needed to be plugged anywhere?
My car has factory reverse camera, so no need for the yellow plugs, but if you were installing an aftermarket camera, then you would use them
Can you use the usb with audi mmi? Instead of the usd under glove box?
You would have to somehow integrate the usb from the Audi MMI to the CarPlay box

It comes with one key and two trim panel removers. If only MMI is available contact the seller on amazon and they will include an MMI to aux cable
does it change the aspect ratio of the screen or does it say the same as the OEM ?

Phone. All’s are fine and it uses the built in mic of the car, so pretty seemless
@@TechRoundUp Ive bought one from Sinairyu carkit and you have to connect their own microphone or you wont be able to speak

No, the purpose of the Carlo kit system is to add the CarPlay functionality to a vehicle without it. I had the same car
Did you have to install the mic that comes with the kit, or are you able to use the factory mic?
the Kit was able to use the factory mic, which was really awesome!
Does it need to plug into aux
No you just have to plug in an aux adapter to the MMI to activate aux channel for the CarPlay adapter to use
did you have bleutooth before intsalling this ?
Yes the car had bluetooth, but only for music and calls.

But I do believe something was included in the Carlin kit kit as well

I believe the kit will work on any A3 from 2013-2018, so you should be fine, and I'm not 100% sure on the Q3 but that does sound easier

Works with 2014 A1?
It should work with A1 model from 13-18 with voice control.

I don’t want to say for sure, but it should. It works on both the 5.8” and 7” displays in the A3 from 13-17.
