How does this video have dislikes?! People are so weird! Love your creations and videos Marie! Thanks for everything you do!
I agree, Rose! :P I'm always a bit baffled when I get a thumbs-down for a freely shared, custom recipe lol... it's hardly controversial! Thanks so much for watching :D
Thanks for producing!
I'm assuming it was accidental. I've mis-clicked before, myself.
Marie you are a wonderful person. God bless you!
Thanks so much, Ranju 😊
You are so pretty and that lovely hair! First time I hear about Marula oil, it's a pity I don't have it at hand, but it's a project I'll certainly put in my list, thank you Marie
Aww, thank you :) I've really been enjoying marula oil, it's a great luxury oil to have on hand!
The recipe is great. Thanks Marie for sharing it. Can I add hydrolysed silk protein to it for added benefit?
This formulation already contains hydrolyzed silk and a second type of hydrolyzed protein; I probably wouldn't add any more until you've tried it once as written and are certain that's not enough protein for your hair.
Do you know what the shelf life of this product is ?
I got the marula oil and am making this now. I only had the whole horsetail root bits, not powdered...so ran some through the grinder. It wasn't super fine, but should be same effect, yes? Why is it not good practice to incorporate air into the concoction? I didn't angle my hand blender, but still ended up with lots of air....I think because I used a 2 cup measure when melting and blending.
That should work, but next time I'd probably recommend an infusion, like making a cup of tea :) I don't like incorporating air as I find the lotion dries out faster and is more prone to oxidizing and collapsing, but it's not the end of the world my any means :)
Love it im going to make this with Jasmine ooh la la
Happy making! :D
Maria sorry I know u made eye gel.. But is there a way to mix red alge and hidrosol with apricot oil..

Can i use rice powder
Do you have videos on the shampoo bars and vinegar rinse
No videos, but many blogs :) www.humblebeeandme.com/category/hair/natural-hair-care-articles/, www.humblebeeandme.com/how-to-make-shampoo/, www.humblebeeandme.com/make-natural-hair-rinses/.
Do you think more than one preservative is necessary for trying to get a mask to last 1yr?
Could I put a little clay in it?
I noticed when I put clay into my shampoo and conditioners (over not doing that) my hair performed better and felt healthier... would this through it off or be completely not needed?
(I’ll probably make it both ways anyway, but if I were to put clay into it - it was more, how much do you reckon would I need (if you think it would be okay) to make it a good consistency...)
I’m so annoying, I’m sorry. Cooking isn’t my thing, but skin and hair care recipes are. I’m always watching your videos, and I can’t wait to have time to make things! Thank you for putting time and effort into putting your recipes and knowledge on the internet (and obviously your book now), it’s a great opportunity for people to have to either start a hobby or start a career - they just need that little window to peak through! 🤗
Clay is really hard to preserve-I'd probably recommend keeping it at 1% or less clay. If you want to incorporate clay I would make the mask as-is and then portion out a bit at the moment of use and add clay to that, apply it to the hair, and discard any excess :) Happy making!
Humblebee & Me okay awesome, thank you very much! Can’t wait to try it! 🤗
Yay! My birthday gift to myself! I'm not sharing! 😘
Ha! Enjoy ;)
Thank you for always sharing your content....#Awesomeness
Thank you so much!
where do you get the horsetail root from please. Cant wait to try this out
Horsetail is not in the ingredients list....
It is, horsetail root is another name for shavegrass :)
!!!!!!!
I got mine from Saffire Blue in Canada, but I also found it on Amazon: amzn.to/2cSljhM
thx alot
Where's my song, Marie? I need my song! 😄
I'm getting sick of only having a couple free songs to choose from and listening to them over and over and over again lol :P
I need someone to make this for me.
Marie i don't have btms 50 can i use cetyl alcohol instead... I even don't have horsetail root powder can i use marshmallow root powder or slippery elm bark instead. M very excited to make this recipe please help...
You cannot use cetyl alcohol in place of BTMS-50-the recipe will completely fail. Have you read the accompanying blog post?
Hi dear,
I love your formulations and knowledge you share . I tried this formulation of yours but it caught some white fungus in 7 days of time. I have used iscaguard PEG preservative and added some herbal powders to it. I don’t know where I went wrong. Can you help me in this. Thanks.
I googled that preservative and it's sold as a "preservative booster" rather than a broad spectrum preservative, so I would bet that's a big part of the problem :)
Humblebee & Me thanks a lot. I will surely do the changes . Thanks
Can I use shea butter or coco butter i don't have marula oil😔
Not really... check out this (www.humblebeeandme.com/encyclopedia/marula-oil/) and this (www.humblebeeandme.com/a-guide-to-carrier-oil-substitutions/) for more info.
🌸🌸thx
How would I make a bigger batch of this ?
Honestly, please don't-this recipe is highly prone to spoilage, and makes enough for at least two uses, even on very thick, long hair. Read this for more info: www.humblebeeandme.com/faqs/recipes-produce-small-amounts-product/
You r cute. Great recipe for the hair. Thank you.
Thank you! :)
Can i use bamboo powder extract in place of horsetail?
Yup!
@@HumblebeeAndMe Thank you . :)
Isint silicon bad for your hair?
That's a pretty broad statement. There's a lot of different types of silicones, and different hair can interact differently with different silicones. The formulation is also important. The biggest concern is generally build-up. You can learn more here: science-yhairblog.blogspot.ca/search?q=silicone.
Ok thanks

Thank you so much! :D
Best way to sleep with oil in your hair is to braid it, and then lay an old towel over your pillow.
Great tip, thanks!
