I dont think thrash was a genre before the 80's
5:05 onwards has to be to this day the most beautiful riff, bridge, hook what ever it is called ever.
It's a riff harmony and yes it's the most beautiful thing ever
The way the guitar and bass mix in this song... Cliff was truly a genius for these riffs. Something I noticed too was that the bass was louder on your cover than on the original mix too. The fast riff Cliff does with the guitar as the backing instrument was banger. I also didn't realize the guitar played chords at the start along with the bass, that's something really awesome, watching you play gave me more appreciation for this song and now I wish I knew a guitar player (Edit: Just realized I have the bass on my headphones up so that's why I can hear the bass so well lol)

Great job. This song kind of seems easy when you just look at the tabs, but to nail it is not an easy task. To me, this personifies Metallica and especially the Cliff era, which was the best even though they are still jamming.

literally the best cover of Orion, hands down. Everything is great about it - the tone of guitars (the lead tone is basically the tone, which I see as my waymark in building my own tone), bass, drums, amps feedback, everything. Everyday I practice Orion for about 2 or even more hours, and everyday I put this cover like backing track. Keep on rockin', brotha.

Did this for the first time today and holy crap it was rough. I dìd 70 percent of 1 rm (480) in 9 mins (all doubles). My back feels good and i felt like my form was solid every time. Gonna take it up 10lbs next week and see how it goes.

I love this song, it's one of my favourite metallica song of all time. Good job on that cover man, atm I am trying to learn the whole song on guitar but I have some difficulties haha. There is one thing I noticed though: at 05:59 your rhythm doesn't sound like the original but I also have that problem....

3:02 im doing this for my grade exam and struggling on the sring skipping with the fast picking. Also 3:07 with the run down the neck but thats more me practicing left hand. Any advice that could help me appart from like slow practice and stuff cos i am doing that religiously and yes im going slow enough that i can play it 100% of the time before i speed up.
I am a beginner and I was left wondering, what is that technique starting at 3:40 making that ambient whale noise? Does my guitar even let me play that 😅
