  • I've been skateboarding to class for 2 years now and it has saved me so much time. I live in Camden so it's not too far from UCL, but it's still 25 mins by foot and only around 15 mins (sometimes 10 min) by skateboard. It took me about a month to get used to it, and to overcome the initial fear of falling down. I still occasionally fall down to this day, but now it's not so embarrassing because i've learnt to fall with style~ lol.
Nowadays, i use a regular skateboard instead of an electric one because its much lighter, and I get more exercise from pushing with the regular one. The biggest disadvantage is it's hard to skate when the sidewalk is full of people.
But i would highly recommend uni students to pick up skateboarding because its easy to bring around and keep. I just lean it on the wall in my lecture hall. And you also look cool bringing it around campus hahah.
