- A personal one today opening up about our first trimester. I wanted to document the emotions, thoughts and symptoms that were going on behind the scenes until we announced our little one. It's such a lonely, often anxious time and I really enjoyed watching these first trimester vlogs myself.

Tbh I had a feeling for a long time Laura was pregnant, but figured she'd tell us if and when she feels ready. How lucky we are that you guys are sharing your lives so openly to us strangers.

Me too, she was quite out of breath in some videos. She also mentioned a few times that she wasn't feeling great. So pleased for them. Going through a miscarriage is very traumatic and upsetting.

I do love seeing the behind the scenes of the secret and I'm so happy for you both to be beyond the scariest period. 🥰 One of the things I wish someone had told me about when I was pregnant is "pregnancy brain" -- in two senses:
1. you'll start forgetting everything and that only slightly comes back (my kid is 23 now & I still am shit at remembering🤣)
2. Some people (🙋♀) are really affected by all the hormones and start to feel a tad insane, or not fully like themselves mentally, or extra emotional or sensitive. YOU WILL BE YOURSELF again lol, I promise. It's just the hormones. 💜💜💜
Oh Laura, it is so refreshing hearing you say you will be hopeful as it’s such magic to be able to get pregnant. I felt this so much. We have been ttc after loss for 17 months and whenever I see that positive again I promise myself to have this mindset.

Hi Laura, Ollie and Otto. I can imagine how tough and stressful the first trimester has been for you after your very sad miscarriage. I’m just delighted for you now that you’re entering the second phase and all is looking well. You can see the relief that both of you feel at the end of this video and the excitement of seeing baby in your scans. I’m so looking forward to seeing your future videos and baby growing - so many memories of when I was pregnant a long time ago! Times have changed a lot since then in medical care but the joy one feels never changes.❤️🥰

Haha! I love your Chinese food story! It’s SUCH a pregnancy thing!
When I was about 3 months pregnant with my first, it was my birthday and I wanted Indian food from a very specific place. My husband decided to take me to a very chic, highly rated Indian restaurant. I smiled the whole time from arrival to being seated, then excused myself and BALLED in the restroom! I mean I was a wreck for maybe 10 minutes in there. I calmed down, still red and puffy, sat back down and my husband felt terrible. We ordered and ate and the place turned out to be amazing, still my favorite to this day!
That was really lovely to watch and share in your good news and excitement!

Thank you for sharing your journey this far with us Laura. Having spent a long time ttc myself before a successful pregnancy i could really relate to many things you shared. I had cravings for pasta with my first during the 1st trimester - just do it! I think your body tells u what it wants/needs 😊

Oh my, I was pregnant just a year ago, and you reminded me about craving sour stuff. Completely forgot about it, but I was eating the whole bags of sour patch candies and drink only a cloudy lemonade during my first trimester! Congratulations again! Wishing you an easy and safe birth for both if you! You have a world of joy awaiting ❤️

I'm currently 38 weeks following a miscarriage and can identify with a lot of your feelings. I feel like it's been a bit of a roller coaster because we're so happy and grateful but at the same time there's always just a little piece of you that worries about what might happen. We had a scan at 8 weeks too and seeing that tiny heartbeat was just magical ❤wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy x

This video journey will be such a blessing for you and your child in the future. Being tired is a major thing, but sometimes it can mean needing more iron in your diet. An old wives tale...if you have alot of gas and indigestion, your baby will be born with lots of hair! 👶🍼🧸

It is nice to see how they are doing with the renovations and how the pregnancy is going for them. I had been pretty sure that they were pregnant again and when she was depressed that she had most likely lost a pregnancy. So good luck and I hope you have a happy and healthy baby.
Gives me hope for my daughter who is going through IVF (4th round) and secretly me having the privilege of becoming a Grandma. So happy for you both and your extended family. 🙂

So pleased that everything is going well for you. I agree re: UTIs. I had one at 24 weeks when I was pregnant with my son which triggered contractions. Thankfully they were able to stop them and I went on to give birth at 40 weeks + 5 days.

Hello Laura, it's been a long time since I've had a baby, all three of my beautiful children are grown now and in their 20s. But with my first pregnancy,
Sprite was my first cravingI I wasn't a huge fan of sprite, nor did I drink it normally, but I really craved it and bought some and drank it then! I had three healthy babies, and I am praying for your baby to be healthy and strong! God bless to you and your previous family! ❤❤❤

That 'unreal feeling' is hilarious! I remember with my first child, he was one year's old, and I was still wondering if I had got the dates of my cycle wrong (as in, hadn't really been pregnant after all!). Which sounds nuts, but a friend of mine had the same feeling with her first!

Hi laura. Im a mum of three special care babies, and one piece of advice i will give you is to try and calm down and relax. I know you must be feeling estatic, and counting every day , but try to enjoy it , and dont forget each other in the journey. My eldest boy was born 12 weeks early 2lb 2oz dropped to 1lb 15oz. Hes now a strapping 27 year old working within the bowel cancer pathway. Im sure all is going to be just fine . Enjoy this crazy ride and dont rush it. Once there here it flys by. Enjoy having undisturbed sleep 😂😂😂 xxx

Hello! Congratulations!! As a retired pharmacist… ask your pharmacist [? Their title?] - if you can get a “coated” prenatal vitamin… it helps to cut down the smell and ‘taste’. It’s okay to take calcium carbonate tablets [chewable one] for your stomach issues. These are safe as long as you follow the directions…. Take good care of yourself!
I can resonate with the crying over sweet and sour as I cried over no one willing to go out for a Sunday dinner with me at around 8/9 weeks 🤣

Truthfully I’m in a different phase of life and am more interested in your house refurb content. How are you going to stratify content for different viewers ?? Create a blog channel for baby-interested people? Or just label your videos clearly so we can self-select… ??
BTW I prefer 1 or 2 videos a month with more relevant (to me!) content rather than more videos off interest.
Finally - having had children - advise to concentrate on getting your beautiful bedroom/bath/storage/nursery finished before baby comes also before starting projects such as extension - you will need a nest / sanctuary!

Hi Laura, thank you for sharing. I just watched your miscarriages video. I am going through the exact same thing at the moment. A miscarriage at 8.5 weeks and just experienced a chemical pregnancy. I went to GP and he was so cold and unhelpful. All I want is to be heard and get support as soon as possible if I get pregnant again with medication. Can you please recommend a clinic which supported you with the progesterone and low dose aspirin? I never felt so alone, I wish we didn’t need to go thru so much pain 3 times before getting support.
Ginger biscuits were my best friend ate one every morning before getting out of bed 😂
