@@TheRealDionysos Yes, and that is what makes the US health system so bad in this crisis: There are so many dead because not everyone has health care. Good doctors and good equipment are useless if it does not reach and benefit those who need it.
@@ginstu8232 thats not true. The crisis is worst in the USA because of many things. For example germans are eating less often in restaurants, they are very afraid and law following... Also germans have this spy mentallity which makes them report more likely crimes. There are many many cases where people call the police if they see 3 people together in public... Also in germany are not very mutch tests. If someone is tested positive his family will be probably also infevted but they dont test them. They only test people which are very sick. In the USA the testing is very diffrent... There are many reasons but the health care system has nothing to do with it. The health care system in germany and in the USA is not at its limits. All nations dont have enought tests... Lets say the USA had a public health care system. What would be the diffrence? Would there be more tests? No. Would there better treatmant of the illness? No. Would there be better isolation? No. So how is a public health care system is better against corona? Germany made hughe mistakes during the crisis. For example they didnt closed the borders when they already had. They argued masks would be nonsense and than most laws got canceled from courts. They made nonsense laws like a shop can open but only shops < 800m^2. And germany only followed austria. They closed the borders. Germany did it. They reopened a littel. Germany did.... The only thing makes me wonder is how the gouvernmant of germany turned it as they were the best in this crisis. They made nothing diffrent than austria and most other nations. They werent the first and not the last.

Juliane A: Absolutely right. An American woman wrote to me angrily: The government won't send masks to all households. We're supposed to sew these ourselves. The woman works as a parcel driver. Turkey is actually doing quite well because the government has been building a big number of hospitals. Furthermore Turkey is a country where many PPE can be manufactured because of the big textile industry.
@Hinterfrage! So Germany did worse because they have a way much tinier infection rate and almost no deaths. Makes sence to me. Of course we could have done some things better but it's a fact that we are getting better through the medical crisis than other countries. And it was completely clear that Germany could not produce masks for their whole population. Then, about this "years ago" i agree but the important thing is how we are doing right at the moment and it actually looks like we could get to the new normal in roundabout a few months (as long as there wont be a new wave of infections).
İm a Brit living in Germany for 3 years, and the health system here cannot be compared to any other country. Well done Germany for investing in your Health system. 👏🏻 Ps: happy i live here and not the UK more than ever
Truth is.... it used to be even better. Hospitals in Germany used to be in public hand. Most if not all were sold to private companies. What happened after this actually helps us now. Regular hospital beds were reduced and ICU beds were increased, because there is more money to be made in ICU. As of today only around half of all ICU beds are in use and it doesn’t seem as if we are going to need more. I think the most important reason in comparing the death rates that isn’t mentioned is that due to the good health care system Germans are generally a really healthy people. Compare them to the African Americans in Chicago and there is no wondering why there is such a difference. These pre existing conditions those ppl have in chicago, especially at rather young ages, are unheard of in Germany.

The only things the government can't get right are combating climate change (i.e. Kohleausstieg) and income inequality. Oh and for some reason we are reopening schools (partly) and demanding A-level exams from students.
The thing is though, we are throwing our advantage out the window by reopening too early. Tomorrow, schools will open and I don't feel to good about that.
Oh it's definitely bad. It's just no so terrible in understanding the real issue of this virus outbreak. Contrary to say.. the UK that wasted precious weeks pretending everything would be fine without special measures. Also... I seriously question the number of deaths reported in Germany. Yes, they do have a big intensive care capacity and yes they don't 'give up' on patients as easily as other nations, however with a spread this big it can't be just a largely younger demographic being affected resulting in less deaths. I do understand Germany's demography is different from something like Italy with a lot of old people. But the way Germany has played catch up in terms of deaths and infected is suspicious to say the least.

Actually their system is very good. They have better doctors and better equipment. You are just mad not every american has health care.
@@TheRealDionysos yeah lets celebrate Austria for knowingly spreading the virus on partys in Ischgl right? They just care about their tourism cash 😅

Uman Gok glad having you! Stay safe!!!!!

Honestly, I am no big fan of Jens Spahn. But seeing how Germany is doing in Corona crisis compared to other countries gives me the feeling that our government is not as bad as I thought
Anouk same he seems to be knowing what he is doing

Welt: Wow, they are so good handling it, keep it up!
Wieso nöd i think she was trying to be funny.
strong not free :)
Hahaha so true aaamena
Germans be like:
hippity hoppity this comment section is now our property.
Ah, auch Floor gang
And that's a fact
Americans on every other video on whole youtube be like : It isn't oil, but I'll claim it anyways
Wieso ist dieser Kommentar auf englisch?
Englische kommentare machen wir hier nicht
WOW "the fact that we are doing so well makes us humble, not overconfident."
Sing it clear, sing it loud, we are proud of not being proud.
imagine how trump would react if the numbers would be so good in the US
rrickarr You would never hear those words come out of Trumps mouth. He doesn’t know the meaning of the word humble.
@@jeanmcginnis9804 if you elect a clown, you get the circus for free. On the other hand, if a circus (the system) elects, you get a clown.
Or the CCP party demanding singing its praise falsely
Anchor: "America also has a great healthcare system."
Me an American living in Germany: *pauses video to laugh my ass off*
I am also american living in Germany and if the americans paid as much as we have to from our paycheck every month for health insurance I am sure they would think different and then still have to pay for a ambulance ride
@@gregorycouch4360 But the US healthcare system is the most expensive in the entire world. So it obviously is also worse financially
@@Tessa_Gr oh I didnz say that US was good or in Germany is bad just think some people get the wrong idea and think zhe health care here is free
By any chance that you are locating in dresden?
@@uchungnguyen1474 I do not know if you meant him or me but I am not in Dresden
Jens Spahn starring in "Different Shades of Grey"
I as a German, find that hilarious!
@@indomynusrex126 Jeder hier ist Deutsch.......
Well, the only thing I learned from this whole thing is that “Kommentare” is comment section in German. I don’t speak German but I know the basics because my dad taught me some German.
DerBetweenTalker Between hahaha 😂
Nope ... comment section is the "Kommentar-bereich"!
"Kommentare" actually means "comments".
"comment section" would be "Kommentarbereich". ("Kommentar" = "comment" and "Bereich" = "section").
