- A Quick Run Through Of The Features On The Audi MMI 3G+ System. Including How To Use Sim Card Just For Data.
Over the past few months lots of new Audi Owners that have MMI 3G+ with the built in SIM Card have had issues with the car wanting to use the SIM card for calls instead of a Bluetooth Paired device. This is the main purpose of the video to show how to use the SIM Card purely for Data services and to allow the Bluetooth Device for calls.
We also run through how Google Maps works and also the WLAN features that some vehicles have.
Please note that every car is different and some vehicles may not have the same options available. If you find that you can't see the same as in this video try and get an MMI / Mapping update installed.

Proper introduction to Audi SIM card features. I was looking all over for such information!
An other very important advantage you get with your sim cart is that you also get the ONLINE traffic information, check the left bottom at 2:23 changing! Very very useful

They wrote its a "mini-Sim-Card". I first thaught its what we call Micro-SIM but its not. Use the Standard-SIM size, yes the huuuge one from when you were young. I also use Data-Only SIM

How do you change that map on a q5 Audi 2014, to a Europe map, because on my car the map is in America and I live in Europe.
I have a 2016/17 A6 AllRoad LHD as i live in Poland. Can't find the heated door mirror button? It is supposed to be on the mirror control area at the bottom, but mine is for folding the mirrors???
Why do all this when the phone can do more. Audi should allow their MMI get internet access from the phone because most phone can tether. To me, I think it would more useful to use the phone for GPS than the audi gps or mmi

I have a Sky sim card with both data and calls, I can make and receive calls & txt but cant get to select Google Earth to load. I think the problem is the APN settings from Sky Mobile. MMI is not able to get this automatically and is requesting this to be set manually. Any idea how to do this manually ??
