I have a 2018 S5 Sportback. When I jump in the car, the SiriusXM does not start up with the presets showing. It reverts to the full channel list. On my 2013 Audi, when starting the car, the SiriusXM came on with the presets listed if that was what I was using the last time I drove the car. Also, how do I tell what version of the MMI I have? Thanks.

Entering an address really sucks for Navigation. On other cars you use a touch screen where you enter numbers, street and city and the system finds the location as you type. It is so much faster, more intuitive and easier. AUDI REALLY MISSED THE BOAT ON THIS ONE!
Bro i have a A3 s line e-tron 40 from oct 2020 and i cant conect this mmi . I have an myAudi acc and app works ok but some features like battery , ev km, start engine istnt working. And i have an error saying data error invalid response from server. I went to Audi here in Munich Germany and they have no idea how to fix it. I call IT support and they told me my iPhone is too new and I have tod downgrade my iphone. I cant make this thing work. any ideas??

Since you know cars... Mystic Black Metalic with black optic pkg /dynamic /dynamic plus/ dynamic steering /ceramic brakes /BO sound /nav package/sunroof/ black with gray stitching seats ... picked up yesterday in snowstorm and overnight additional snow for a total of 20"... so all i can do is look at it in my garage... yesterday enroute to pickup saw three seperate accidents (one flipped over one fatality) that crashed due to icy road... so on way home was really sweating but quattro is like on rails (ice is ice of course).. only one short burst in dynamic mode ...come on spring ... did not come with the rs driver assist (heads up) because this is the ONLY one in black in a 500 mile or greater range and was almost impossinle to get ... i know cause i called each and every dealer and most had already committed what they had... the 174 mph version in any case and was vail in nardo gray or red... aside from color, local NY metro dealers (sport designated) got ONE and volume dealers maybe got two ... and only maybe 6 with the 174 mph configuration... But i got the ONLY Mystic Black configured as above... soooo lucky... it's LIT...

Hey man, i was wondering about something. If my A3 (E-Tron, 2016) does not have a Usb slot (only aux), how could i get android auto on it? Mine does sadly not have the NAVI option, no sim, and only 1 SD card slot. I realy want google maps:( Any thoughts?
@@CarConfections it does however have Bluetooth. But I don't think Auto will work with only Bluetooth.... I was wondering if I could change out the mmi box for something with wireless, of maby a USB port ? Thanks for the reply btw 👍
@@kalle5391 You should probably stop by your local Audi dealership and talk to them about this issue. I think you may have one of the Audi's that was still using their proprietary connector, so they might be able to sell you one for relatively cheap. Android Auto doesn't have the ability to run wirelessly right now

I just got a 2018 A5 and I absolutely hate the navigation system. It rarely understands my voice commands and if I search for business names it absolutely never finds anything I'm searching for. The lack of touch screen is just unacceptable. Luckily, I can plug in my iphone and use the GPS, but why can't I use apple connect w/ bluetooth... What a shame. Maybe a brand new Audi system is better but until then. Oh well.
Jon McClellan Hi Jon. Waze is now supported by Android Auto, so you can use it through the 'Smartphone interface'. If you would rather not use Android Auto (or you own an Apple device) there is still build-in Inrix traffic available in the 'Audi Connect' apps. Hope this helps!
It depends on how old the vehicle is. On most Audi's its not, but if you have one that is fairly new with modern hardware then you should be able to update to the latest version number.
Must say i purchased A4 Allroad terribly unhappy with it, i find this info system very difficult to use as i always drove Mercedes which are far superior to Audi.

You're welcome! It does not come with a wire but Audi no longer uses the proprietary connector so you can just use whatever wire your phone came with

Are you 100% sure there are no USB ports?? It sounds crazy that a 2016 wouldn't have any
@@CarConfections in centre I have 1 aux. On the mmi there is 1 sd slot. I can't find any other USB slots in the car

I agree- We came from Lexus and find the creature comforts and utility of the interior space poorly designed and seriously lacking.
