I can't believe they kept this as a 'Target Exclusive Track', rather than having it as part of the core songs of the album... Almost left out for Release Me 3 or 4... This is outstanding.
So grateful for this upload. Been looking for it for a whole week while waiting for the "Target" CD to arrive at my home in Thailand. Also glad to have learned that this album managed to stay at #1 on the Amazon chart for one whole week without falling to #2, and that would make RM2 debut at #15 on the Billboard 200 chart. Ms. Streisand is truly a "living legend."
#ReleaseMeOne and This Recently #ReleaseMeTwo are collection of her previously unreleased songs from 60era to 2014 (what a career!) ReleaseMeTwo is worth waiting for. Such a voice she has ... maybe the only singer who can put a song from 60 era 70 era 80 era 90 era and another from 2014 on the same collection without a huge difference is vocal change. #Barbra #Streisand such a fascinating figure for practically 60 years.

I don’t think she cares anymore. Columbia probably told her manager: time for another release! And she told her team of yes men: get me 10 songs to futz with so I can get the label off my back. I’m trying to figure out a way for the butter to match the color of my English Muffin.
THIS needs to be released as a buyable download on Barbra's site. I WANT to buy the download myself ... I can't get a copy in the UK without paying scalpers three or four times the price ... NONE of which Barbra gets .... Exclusives that people are resorting to/ being forced to, download illegally, is what's killing the music industry in 2021 ...
She did have quite a range in her day.....sadly age takes that all away. So all that's left is Memory's. I believe she sang that too......from the musical CATS.

Beautiful revised arrangement. The guitar intro is very similar to the melody of the song, Evergreen. The original arrangement is more country style. If I was Barbra's arranger, I would turn this song into a duet with Johnny Mathis (who also recorded the same song in his album called Friends in love). We all know how much Barbra adores Johnny Mathis's voice! Thanks for sharing this rare track.

Thanks! So happy to hear this remixed version from Release Me 2. The original 1984 outtake runs 3:51 and has a distinctive 80s pop sound. Kinda wish Babs released the original version without the guitar dubs, but still a great song.
I guess Target doesn’t ship internationally? That’s a shame. You could try eBay or Discogs. Soon you’d be able to find it there through individual sellers. :)
