This really highlights how amazing the impact WFH has on lifestyle, I'd happily reject a significant pay rise if it meant cutting WFH
I truly envy people like you. I can't for the sake of God make work from home work. I tried making the work room as far as possible from my bed yet still the working vibe carries over whenever I am in the house. I need to actually go out of the house to relax when the lockdown was big.
@@re_flowI personally couldn’t do it. I’d go crazy. I would need to go into work
I wish there’s permanent WFH, the fact that I can workout with my son, have lunch with my son, and have my son observe me working while the nanny taking care of him is so huge to me. Tech companies should really let people who want to WFH WFH and people who want to RTO RTO.
@@GeekClimber The company I work at was absolutely against WFH but when COVID hit they had change of mindset and found it to be valuable to the employees, so they now encourage it and give the option to either work from home or rto.
I feel like the in office culture allowed for a lot of inefficiencies to fester, just the 1-2+ hours gained by cutting out commute adds so much value to both employee and company. That trade off of in office presence, for 5-10 more functional working hour and mental energy conserved for more serious tasks (no commute and reduced micromanagement meetings/presence) can translate to up (assuming 48 working weeks, 5 days a week, 1 hour saved of commute) something like 240 +\- hours or 5/6 weeks of available work efficiency.
That opening alarm sent me into fight or flight
"It's incredibly fun to see deep learning happening in real time" got me 😂
Oh nice, I'm in the IT too. I am a DevOps Engineer. So nice to see someone in the IT too.
Beautiful family ❤
Thank you Oswaldo!
Really happy that you were careful not to show your son's face. Also you're such a sweet dad ^_^
Genuine question, why shouldn't you show your children's face?
some people think it's an intrusion of privacy, which makes total sense @@juniorperavlova
Vivi!
@@juniorperavlovaThey can't consent to thousands of people seeing them
Nice video bro, good background tune and it's great to see you can combine work, workout and quality time with your toddler.
All the best!
I relate to the Software Engineer and Fitness part, not quite the dad one yet lol
I am sure you will eventually! 😆
Lol my instructor just said (Friday) how much he loved VIM and seeing it mentioned in this video made me chuckle inside 😂
if there was 1 thing i'd change would be the social media scroll because it damages your sleep maybe try to fit it in another part of the day overall seems like a great day!
Thanks for letting me see a day in your life! Your baby is soooooooo cute!! You are teaching him how it is to work hard and you should be a proud dad/husband!
Seems like a good life! What I am most jealous about is the bed time taking only 30 minutes 😅 Enjoy watching the little guy grow!
I must’ve misunderstood you somehow because why would you be jealous that the leisure time before bed is only 30 minutes 🤣. It used to be longer before when I wasn’t a dad yet.
@@GeekClimberAh, sorry! I don’t mean your personal bed time from 10 to 10:30! It seems like it only takes 30 minutes until your son falls asleep (I know it could be simplified for the edit or your wife takes over). It takes up to an hour with our kids and it is also from 9-10, that’s why I am (jokingly) jealous!
@@IndividualName not sure how old your kids are but between 0 and I dunno, 10 years old they need a good 12 hours - ours go down between 7 and 8pm and wake up at 7-8am -- if we keep them up late they are harder to get down because they are too tired already.
I was looking at how calm his son was at the outdoor gym - my girl would have just taken off somewhere or tried to drag me down, or at least mimic my crunching noises and laugh at how pathetic I am.
I started bringing him to the park when he wasn’t mobile yet, I guess he is used to it, so now that even though he’s mobile now he still calmly sits there and watches me works out haha.
Man I want one of those chairs, but that price tag is wild. Wonder if there are any similar alternatives
Bruh your desk needs some cable management, also that book on logic is amazing and I need to get it for the baby engineers in my life hahaha
I actually took a screenshot of that type of deskchair before the plug at the end because I thought it looked really neat haha
bro is acc living my dream life
Definitely a video that differs from the rest but nonetheless, great video Geek Climber! Hoping to see some more videos on your calisthenics journey soon enough!
❤
I'm sure you're the best husband, best father, best fitness trainer, best engineer
Love from Pakistan
Stay happy always
I'm wondering how it was working before kids. Where there a time to appreciate "my little wife" - or how was it working?
Yeah, the 1 on 1 time with wife used to be a lot longer 🤣, but now we are at a different stage in life! We enjoy spending time with our son together a lot now!
👍 automatically for a man who prioritizes famly time. Your kid will have fond and fun memories of growing up with Spider-Man for a parent.😹😹
Holy crap I know exactly where that park is, hope I see you at the climbing gym!
such a wholesome video
Damn, he is a Vim guy. Makes me happy that I can relate to a guy that works out and also has some PC chops down!
Best video so far.
Wow this was wholesome, thank you ❤
Living the dream my friend!
baby is so cute. 0:06 also how tall are door ways in the US? why does it look like the door was made for giants?
It’s probably the angle of the camera 🤣.
Warning: once the little one is walking on his own, finding time to work out is going to be a lot harder (or a lot easier if you expand the definition of “work out”)
which skills are you training for
Tks 😊
Love this man
Scrolling through Blind in bed and talking about chasing TC, had to check which channel I was on
I knew someone would recognize Blind just by seeing the UI haha. Blind is so funny and entertaining.
You've come so far from "average guy" to "former average guy" and I am currently starting my calisthenics journey (I have accomplished the muscle-up) as well and I have always been curious about how you train to do so many advanced calisthenics moves. for example, when you learned to do the bent arm press handstand, I am sure that was around the time you were training for the one arm pull up as well. So, I'm curious on how you train do to all these calisthenics moves without doing them one at a time.
do you sleep without a pillow?
its actually really comfortable
I don’t sleep without a pillow because my head is thick 🤣.
@@GeekClimber bros got them brain gainz
Amazing!! Love your videos, trying to conceal the college/work/climbing life is being hard so far!
Can you please break down the math of a weighted vest planche? Is it easier to hold than just a bodyweight planche due to the shift in the centre of mass?
Great video man
Gonna be honest that alarm was a little too ptsd inducing
can I ask about the chair and what does it help you with? oh okay nvm, I just watched to the end of the video hahaha
Best RUclipsr
I think you have all the footage but if you reupload with VO of you talking through your day, it'll perform way better
But it seems like all the other “day in the life” videos are like this, that’s why I am imitating this kind of style.
Awesome day and congrats in balancing your life. I need that book bcoz I’m just a big baby 😆 Great that you and your wife talk about the most important part of your day-baby boy continuous learning. So, where is the next incremental weight interval training with your boy as added weight? As he gains weight-more resistance. 🤣
Didnt know you were a software engineer!!
My son had the same trike 😊
so this is what living looks like..
how do you sleep without a pillow
Hi, can you please tell me where you got the chair from???
Hey i was wondering if you went to the eeyou istchee bouldering center?
Nice video, what tech do you work on ?
when are you doing a muscle up or anotheer exercise with little guy
Very good video
This video truely has it all
Cute family footage
Overly positive music
Good coding advice
Workout motivation

Man sleeping in daylight without a pillow
Government propaganda
What part of it is government propaganda?
0:59 am I the only one who noticed the plastic wrap is still on his pc sidepanel?
Can you tell me what chair you use for your desk?
Did u watch the whole video? Lol
Anybody here knows a cheaper solution for a chair? Muista costs 390 euros.
Can't wait untill 8:30 when Geek Climber responds to my comment!
our life is kind of similar. except i wanna have more babies.
Hello! I am 16 years old and when i grow up i want to be a computer engineer. What books can you recommend for me to read ?
I say aim to get a CS degree in college! Instead of books, find a project that interests you to do and learn along the way!
Thank you !
emacs or vim = V10+ programmer
you messed up with AM and PM and i just thought you're working until 12:00 am without even eating💀💀
oh no, it was me who made a mistake... damn AMERICAN TIME
i need to know where i can find that book.
The link is in the video description!
I love the positivity of the video! One awesome family!
Someday I hope to also hope to reach your level of efficiency :D
Just gotta say it, you don't have to use vim or emacs. Modern IDEs are incredibly powerful tools.
Haha what I meant is the key bindings, not necessarily vanilla vim/emacs. Personally I use Sublime + vim key bindings and a lot of people I know use VScode + vim key bindings.
Nice lifestyle and u can learn more skills but why dont u train for hypertrophy?
Do you sleep with your phone in the room??
Yes I do.
🥹 so cuutteee
no pillow?
@@pdblouin interesting. Do you know which video?
Where I get this chair?
The link is in the video description !
The same clothe from day to night 😂
This is actually filmed on a weekend to illustrate what my weekday is like. There’s no way I can actually film this on a weekday lol, it will be too hectic.
Damn. I want to be a father some day 🥺
Oh, so thats what the geek part of your name meant... 😅
布林代數都幼童書版本😂
這書做的真的很好,我自己還多買了幾本要送台灣朋友
chill bro, is not too early to learning logic gate for kid? XD
Your kid doctor yet
Buy a walking pad, it will change your life.
☺️ cute family
