My 10 Worst Purchases of 2023...
This is a continuation of my last video where I covered by 10 best purchases of 2023 (see below). While I don’t usually like to focus on the negatives, I do think it’s important to take the time to reflect on why certain items didn’t work out as well as I would have liked them to, as well as share with you all any quality issues I may have had with some items.
Please keep in my mind that these are my personal opinions and feelings about these items and how they’ve worked out for me…this doesn’t mean that because they’re on this list that they’re bad items or that nobody should wear them. Most of the time, I just had a hard time styling them...
Also keep in mind that many of these items are a year + old now, so many of them are sold out. But if that’s the case I’ve tried to link something similar below.

Hi Mary, have you tried the red bodysuit with your dark indigo Levi’s? I have a sweater in that same color, and denim is the only styling option that pleases me. Also, I noticed that most of your “worst” purchases were from the high street. The same is true for me. Perhaps we’re more careful shoppers when we’re making a sizable investment. Perhaps the high street price tags induce us to try new colors and styles, rather than our tried and true. Whatever the reason, I really want to decrease my high street shopping. Finally, I’ll share that my worst purchase of 2023 was a navy blue wool Overshirt from COS (I feel like I saw you wearing the same shirt in a video?). I bought the XS and it is so huge that it’s terribly unflattering on me, but I kept it because it is so warm. However, it’s unlined, itchy and sheds like crazy on any shirt I wear under it. It’s also pilled and dry clean only, and I feel like this $150 item may be done for after one season.
P.S. Have you contacted Flattered and Hermes about their defective/poor quality items? I’d ask for a replacement.

Thank you for sharing! I definitely think it’s true that I’m less experimental with my larger investments. And I think it’s a great idea to reach out to the brands about the quality issues. I’m sorry about the COS shirt! Their items can be very oversized, but that’s sad about the pilling

I just purchased two silk polo shirts in black and green from Cos. Has lovely small buttons. Quite discreet.

Take your poorly made but expensive bags/shoes back to the store or inform customer service online what has happened - expensive, so called quality lals should not break down quickly
