Tamper with it in the OBD port and unplug it and it sends a different instant phone call and text to warn you. If they take the whole van it tracks it.

Subscription from month 13 is the only thing that puts me off, I'd rather just pay for something and be done with it, too many subscription based things these days.

@@MJTiffPlumbing I do see your point, but you can break down any subscription based thing down in that way. yeah, I agree I could do another year, but it's still subscription based and no doubt won't be as "cheap" again next year, as good as the system seems to be, I don't think this one is for me

It is a connected device @killerbean9911 so it has a SIM card and is constantly firing data, just like your mobile, so there has to be an ongoing connection and data fee. This is also it's superpower and why it is considered a 'smart' alarm. You can pay annually if you did not like the monthly idea for renewal as well.

What happens if you need to do a diagnostic check on the end plug. Can you just pull it out and in again?
Hi @JayG2K that is correct. If the alarm is armed at the time you will receive a phone call to warn you it has been unplugged and if you forget to plug it back in you will receive a text reminder that it is still unplugged after a few days.

@MJTiffPlumbing if they get into that on a street without being noticed they deserve what's inside. Slide reinforced door in cab with key entry, side doors can't be folded down due to twin pins, vault locks on the back doors and all handles are replaced with key locks.

It's a shame that it has come to this but we do need all sorts of tactics, apps and whatnot to protect our tools/vans. Can't think of anything worse when it comes to work than getting tools stolen. Its a bad crime stealing a mans tools. When I pop into Tesco I have to shop quickly and take my valuable tools in with me in my backpack. Fortunately I only have a few expensive light tools. Might have to look into getting this app. Thanks

Yep…. That’s the whole point….
No good having a siren when you can’t hear it and don’t know it’s being broke into…. But if your phone rings telling you, away you go👍🏼👍🏼
I get that but the siren might deter the thieves before they cut a hole in your door. For me it needs to be both a siren and a phone call.
