Love the setup. I'm thinking of doing the exact same combo. The last section is funny with the guy sitting right under the middle the crooked awning on his little chair. There isn't even any shade to see or demo of how it protects you from the sun or rain. And then the final shot is of the highway in the middle of the desert... ok. Just a totally random ending. I guess if you like to park in the desert and watch the traffic roll by this is the perfect setup. lol
@@AutoRevolutionOnline are you 100% sure it comes with the back plating? Anywhere i’m seeing like amazon, the image shows that there is no back plating, just a single plating, but rotopax does sell an individual back plating 🤔
Do you still like using the Rotopax attached to the ladder? Got a similar setup and trying to decide between running the can on the ladder or on the roof rack.
@@lifescansdarkly you are correct, the 2500 would extend over the driver side. Edit: the one in the video would be the 6.5 foot one v.s the 8 foot one (2500)
Love this intro to golbi rack, ladder and awning! Great vid for first mods when ready! One day I’ll get this exact set ip

2:38 the rotopax mount comes with the back plating as well right?
Yes it does, mounts to the ladder step/crossbar
@@AutoRevolutionOnline thank you!

@@RCGJR_ Youre right, the backing plate for the ladder was ordered seperately...sorry been a few years.
@@AutoRevolutionOnline thank you! Again!
Can I have the awning info and bracket system used to mount I have that gobi rack on mines and I just wanna order the right stuff.
The awning is from ARB and the brackets are from GOBI that are specifically for an ARB awning.
Why does nobody ever show the details of the gobi rack brackets to the awning? Clearances etc? I mean yeah the desert looks nice... thanks
The brackets used here from Gobi are meant for the ARB awning so has plenty of clearance and fits up nicely.
hey! what brackets are those for the awning just got mine but can't seem to find brackets that fit my gobi rack properly
I'm wondering too. I have a Gobi rack on the way and will be getting an ARB awning.
Gobi themselves have awning brackets that can mount ARB, ROAM, and more awnings, it’s all on their website.
How many inches was this awning?
It is the ARB 2000
The GOBI Ranger on order, and curious about the protective tape under the wind deflector. Can you provide the brand/sku or a link?
It came with the Gobi rack, definitely needed. Congrats on the rack, its a great setup.
Does anybody own what size of awning this is?
What is the offset/backspacing on the Duggers? Looks great!
Are you able to tell me which ARB size awning this is? 2000 x 2500? or is that the 1250 x 2100? Thank you. Great vid!
It is the 2000x2500

It does get in the way when climbing the ladder sometimes, depends if you need the room on your roof rack for other items.
What ARB Awning part number is that one? Thanks
If it's the ARB 2000 it would be 814201. And I think it's that one, the 2500 would extend past the driver's side window.

If only gobi doesn’t take 5 years to be delivered
Guess we lucked out...only took 5 months lol
