The Fly was easier 50 years ago. I was in my 20's then.... Started trying it again, and I don't have the flexibility any more in my shoulders. As for fins, the only ones that are "ergonomically" correct are the Positive Drive fins from Finis. They actually turn your feet in pigeon toed which gives you some extra toe point and you can use your whole side of your foot for propulsion. Standard frog feet just don't work as well, mostly because we don't have flat feet like frogs. The gymnastic toe point is very weak for flutter or dolphin kick.
Interesting...I'm sure it was easier to swim 50yrs ago, but keep with it and swimming can become easy now again! Thanks for watching

Probably means you are forcing the movement from the kick and not from the chest ...focus on starting the dolphin movement from the chest
I struggle with the breathe during butterfly. I can go like 6-7 pulls without breathing, but when I try to come up for a breathe, that's where my problem begins.
