- Axialadventure... sent me this 1/10 stepside square body truck! I had to play with it and see what it could do, it is certainly a capable ready to run crawler!

Heya Dalton 🤠 . I'm a local Hooligan on Holiday & an R/C junkie in Boise ID. I've been playing w/ R/C's for 30+ yrs (I'm 48 now). My favorites are 1/8th scale gas powered trucks & fast electric brushless boats. Be forewarned both are extremely addicting but worth every penny and take my word for it you'll love it 🙃

I’m personally a big rc guy, I’ve got crawlers and on road cars and they’re a blast. The crawlers are a lot of fun, you and JD would have a lot of fun with a couple of them. They’re cheaper then the real ones, and there’s almost endless possibilities to how you can build them. They’ve even got a 1970 gto body for the drag cars, you could do a holy goat version. I’ve got a mixture of different types of rc’s, my office has turned into a rc office lol. Great video though, keep up the great work.

Gotta say you’ve inspired me to do some of the more challenging things on my truck. And I am planning on maybe doing some body work and painting my truck after seeing you make something from almost nothing with the silver dollar Chevy. Hey man. Be extremely careful charging lipos inside. I know 2 people personally that lost there houses doing that. They can randomly start on fire. And it's not a lil fizzle. Iv had so many rc cars and boats. And my scx10 was my favorite, pull the axles apart and pack them with grease or they will rust up and wrap the servos in a balloon, also cheap halk. The revo steering arms will work as the front trailing arms if you twist the ends out a lil on the threads. Idk if you'res has the poop plastic ones. Nevermind just seen it has the upgraded ones

Dalton didn't break it. So that's good. Now the kid can have a go. Maybe he can find new and exciting ways to break it. This is how the great wisdom of elders is passed down in our culture but we also manage innovate at the same time.
We used to love going to silver dollar city but it's changed so much we decided to find a new family destination, southern Missourian here🙂

You oughta angle the Silver Dollar towards the RC or the RC towards the Silver Dollar. Some sort of unique details to make the RC look even more like a deliberate tribute.

I have their Gravedigger. It’s a lot of fun. My 7 year old bought a 2wd Traxxis Stampede that almost twice as fast but doesn’t have the beefy suspension that my truck has.

There's a couple huge events every year called axial fest. Here in Des Moines area we have a camp and crawl where it's nothing but rc friends bringing cool rc stuff out to play. If your ever in the area I have stuff that cost more than some peoples actual vehicles.

Axial is okay, but Traxxas is definitely the best. I love my K10 High Trail from them. The details are insane. Axial just feels cheap to me. Ive owned a couple, returned them within a couple days. Im not a fan boy of any brand, but ive just found traxxas to be the best in terms of quality, reliability and customization. Their parts are also interchangeable between different models which is super awesome. Just picked up a 4Tec 3.0 C8 Corvette to go with my fleet of other RC stuff and even with the stock brushed setup it's freaking quick. Got upgrades already coming for it.
You know, you should turn the laser engraver loose on this! Put some custom details on the body!

Just checked out their site. Looks like they had a way cool early Bronco in 1:10 scale, but it's been discontinued. Wonderful. But the Chevy step side looks great.
I know this is an old video but a pro tip for making it sound better is to put some gorilla tape on the inside of the body. It won’t sound so “plastic-ty”

Don't know how I missed it. You don't have to make a grill. One already exists. For 20$ get a chrome Traxxas k5 blazer grill
I have 10 or so rc crawlers. Proline came out with a 78 stepside body about 5 years ago, I made the Traxxas chrome blazer grill fit. painted on my own version of sport stripes. I can't leave the electronics alone anymore. Probably close to 400$ in upgraded brushless electronics/tires wheels, ECT. Holmes hobbies is a local Missouri company that makes upgrade motors, servos, all the good stuff. Even one of his 20$ brushed motors are an upgrade over what comes on them stock.
Get one more for JD and take em on a walk, you can get a couple miles out of a full charge. And don't be afraid of a 3s lipo battery. Best cheap upgrade there is.

@@outsidethebarn they are cheap enough to just buy one instead of making something. And the Traxxas ones are officially licensed by gm so they look pretty legit. Can't wait to see what you do to it!

Hey Dalton you can actually get a hard plastic body identical to the silver dollar and even get matching rims and hood!! I noticed you already had one that you showed in the background so I pretty sure you already know how to modify the heck outta axles, shocks, servos, etc to really make it wicked as hell!! Hope to see more of this in the near future.

Omg i want one Now i Have a 2002 Silverado That is 3 feet long by 1 foot tall and Its a got a Functinal Speakers and Lights and Bliners And You can Lift the tano cover with the Remote and it exsposes the sub in the bed you can plug any 3.5mm Music sorce in it and the lights Bounce to the music and so does the sub @Outside The Barn
