- PrimeWeld CUT 60 plasma cutter part 1- unboxing and tour | RATTLECAN FAB SHOP with James O'Rear
New tool day! We've been saving our pennies and finally pulled the trigger on getting the #PrimeWeld CUT60 plasma cutter. This is a blowback style torch (no high frequency start) so it will work perfectly with our future CNC plasma table plans. In part one I will 1) unbox the new arrival and 2) give you a tour of all the controls and features on the front and back panels of the machine as well as give you some helpful tips and tricks you will find if you dig through the manual.
Part two will show 3) how to get the unit connected to both power and air and then 4) I will do a bunch of test cuts on aluminum, steel, stainless steel, and maybe even some titanium! Be sure to subscribe to you can get notified when new episodes are released!

Great job
I appreciate you!
Mirror for learning. I happen to have some junk mirrors so I can see how the cutting looks from underneath when I first try it out. OR just shoot and review videos after every cut for a while. Thanks for a thorough workout of the cutter. I've got the one below yours on order. The cutter is my main interest, but I'll bet it welds just fine-and might find the portability handy.
Regarding the dropped pressure this is normal. The very right toggle switch is used to simulate the torch running as you set the pressure while exhausting air. You will easily be under 10 to 15psi from Guage setting while static compared to when you are running the torch. That little switch is how to set the pressure correctly while it's flowing. Also set the input pressure to around 90psi as well. This is what I do and cut quality is excellent. Hope this helps
Great insight, thanks for the tips!
👏 42:43 for the Titanium
Are you in Canada? In the US we'll be cutting 1/16,1/8,3/16 and 1/4
Did i mis a video? What compressor are u using? What filter/dryer? Whsts post flow setting ?
Put your "work ground" on the material
I like how your leadin start at about a 45 degree angle. I dont see too many ppl doing that.
Just trying to figure out the best way to "ease into" the edge and that's what my brain came up with. All new to me.
@@RattlecanFabShop It asolutely makes sense sir.
While my Icut60 cuts through 7/8" plate at 80 psi, cost me $159 us, and checked Prmeweld, not cheap at all.
To each their own. PrimeWeld customer service is the best in the business, hard to put a price tag on that.
