I do agree charity shops do put the top prices on theses cameras , the thing that niggles me is that these items are given to the charity shops for free . They can still make a profit if they just lowered the price a bit , Nice upload

Cool camera, I have the bigger brother the Cine - Kodak Model K 16mm and a Cine-Kodak Reliant 8mm because I can control the fps on that one. It'll be nice to see you doing some bts loading, metering, shooting and post the video. I buy film from the FPP/Kodak/eBay

Great review! Sorry did I miss the amount you paid for it or you didn't mention?

Through family, I have just been given my very own Ciné Eight. It belonged to a distant Uncle who was killed flying Lancasters in WWII and the camera was returned to his family here in Australia, as part of his belongings. I appreciate your vid as you helped me understand how the camera works. I need to get the films that came with the camera seen by the Australian War Museum.

I happened to find one of these here in my hometown at a thift store with its original leather carrying case. Still works fantastic and is my favorite in my collection of 8mm cameras, which includes a Bell & Howell Director's Series with its case as well.
Thank you very much for sharing.

Well, that's quite a minimalist design!

Great video. The handle view finder incorporates a parallax correction guide on the frame nearest the lens which on mine is f1.9. This is where you are planning a close up closer than 7 feet away.

Just picked one up at an estate sale for $14. Very stoked about it. It has film in it though I’m sure it’s been overexposed even prior to me checking it out. Not in mint like this one seems to be, but seems to run fine! Would love to see the manual if you have a digital copy of it. I’ve been looking everywhere for more information but the degradation of the internet just wants to sell me another one
