😂😂😂 It's not quite the same without it
Lol yes
I honestly thought for a moment I could hear the seagulls singing it
I actually waited for the guy on the piano to sing it 😂
no but i said she's singing in icelandic lol
As an American I truly believe she is one of the best vocalists I have ever heard. Molly has an amazing voice and I can’t believe she isn’t more internationally known. I’m so happy I watched Eurovision movie on Netflix.
Julianne Taggart she turned down a contract with an American label a few years ago after they asked her to loose weight
IAM MAEL the talent we lost but she made a name for herself bc she is amazing. That is all that matters.
She did like Robyn, decided to go her own way. I guess that’s the way to do it ... if you’re talented enough.
@@PMX-DOG- I wouldn't say an international superstar, that's a bit too much.
She travelled to the US to do work there but was told she was to fat and needed to lose weight to make it there. So she packed up and went home and wrote the song 'Freak' and 'Phoenix'. She struggled with her own self image for a time.
She's competed in the Swedish ESC 'Melodifestivalen' at least 2 times I can recall. And her Swedish work are all amazing. 'Rosa himmel' 'Utan dig' 'Sand'.
This girl has a voice! This song gives me chills all the time.

Guys we should give "2020 Eurovision song contest award" to this song! I really think it won the Eurovision this year!!
Couldn't agree more! ❤
Saved my life:3
Yes! Cuz it fits so well too with everyone having to be at home cuz of darn (@%#&*!) Corona.
would be very unfair on Iceland's Eurovision entry
Iceland is KILLING it this year! Listen to "Think About Things", from Eurovision this year!!!
I thought that this was going to be another silly comedy from Will Ferrell, but instead it's become one of my favorites. And this song may be one of the best songs ever! Thank you Will for introducing Molly to us!
Agree.....it's not just a comedy....I loved it ....& I usually avoid Will Ferrell movies......But if you watch 'Kicking and screaming '......it is a similar comedy with an underlying serious story.
Finally a version without that guy saying "she's singing in islandic!"
Hahahahaha yes that part made the song a little bit bad.
The elves in their tiny house made a cameo.
Hahaha
Lmao. I actually love that part. But it’s great to hear the clean version
I thinking finally! A version without will Ferrell ruining it 😂
It actually bothers me IRL that I can’t buy this version on iTunes. She deserves the value of the vocal art she created for millions of people to enjoy
I’d be surprised if this doesn’t pop off like Let it Go did from Frozen.
Except this is far superior.
Fun fact: her little sister is the voice of swedish Anna in frozen ☺️
It has, at least in Iceland, its constantly on the radio.
@@bakki27 sadly it's only on iceland radio... i would love if this song turned around the world...

Holy moly. She can freakin sing her face off. She is UNREAL. The control, the pitch, the volume and power?! Legit unreal talent ❤️
She pronounces the icelandic pretty well too (she's Swedish and the languages are actually pretty different and written VERY different)
Molly Sanden is another one of those “And WHY did I not know about this amazing singer until....?” Eurovision hopefully will put her on a bigger global stage and nobody would blame her for staying in Wonderful Scandinavia! A beautiful woman with a beautiful voice.
She has competed in the Swedish version of Eurovision (Melodifestivalen) she just didn't win it and therefor didn't qualify for ESC.
I feel like the 90's-2000's purity in music is coming back
All the dislikes are from people who wanted to hear Jaja Ding Dong
Edit: oh my god I can’t believe everyone loves this comment 😂
PLAY IT!
I only want to hear Jaja Ding Dong!
LMAO
It’s the only thing that makes me happy

Husavik won the biggest of the awards, The one that comes from people’s hearts!!! Congratulations .
If she participates in Eurovision, she will have a drama-free win. I mean there is no competition to this. I live in the Himalayas but still this song mentioning whales and sea gulls makes me love my hometown even more. Bless you !
I think she already did but in junior eurovision or something like that
She's participated several times without a win, this is just a song for a movie about Eurovision not an actual submission.
@@evisw372 yeah the movie was meant as a parody but actually is really good and the songs are so Amazing, this is one of them!

Better than the movie version! And the lyrics and melody are fittingly accompanied by incredible visuals. What a beautiful place!
Yes, Sweden is lovely
The world needs to hear this version. The movie version is great, but this version brings chills and tears. One of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. I listen to it over and over all day at work. Such a beautiful and dynamic voice.

Lyrics
All by myself
With this great big world before me
But it's all for someone else
I've tried and tried again
To let you know just where my heart is
To tell the truth and not pretend
All I needed was to get away
Just to realize that I was meant to stay
Where the mountains sing through the screams of seagulls
Where the whales can live 'cause they're gentle people
In my hometown, my hometown
Thought I made it clear, do I have to say it?
It was always there, we just didn't see it
All I need is you and me and my home
Vera með þér, með þér
Í Húsavík við Skjálfanda
Í heim-abærinn minn
You want the world (want the world)
All the neon lights and billboards
To be seen and to be heard
And I followed you (oh-ooh)
But now I know what makes me happy
And I can tell you feel it too
Where the mountains sing through the screams of seagulls
Where the whales can live 'cause they're gentle people
In my hometown, my hometown
Where the northern lights burst out in colors
And the magic nights surpass all others
Það eina sem ég þrái er, að vera
Vera með þér (vera með þér)
Með þér (vera með þér)
Í Húsavík við Skjálfanda

From one Icelander to a cousin Swede, you did our language good justice. Well done :)
She probably has one of the most power house yet angelic voices I ever heard.
And Mollys little sister sings good as well....
A lot of people in the comments seem to think Molly is Icelandic and that this is recorded in Iceland. Easy mistake to make due to the film.
While the song is about Husavik in Iceland, Molly is actually Swedish, and this is recorded on Öland, Sweden.
I was looking for the recorded location. By searching on Google Maps (satellite view) on Öland, Sweden, I can't find this little house near the see. Can you pinpoint the exact location please ? Thank you.
