I remember watching this as a kid. I wanted Boise State because I loved their blue field. Then to watch this end with The Statue of Liberty play, this was an instant classic football game and a core memory as a kid.
@@donnarocha4717 As a kid, I was more in the "cool" or "unique" part of liking Boise State. But also throughout that season, they were the only team willing to do trick plays and fake punts/field goals to make the game be cool. Now, as an adult, the "blue" field was much better during this era. Their current field is not good, its too dark. During the era of these highlights, it s a few shades lighter and much easier to look at.
As a long time BSU fan, this was the biggest emotional rollercoaster of a game for me ever. The hook and ladder was THE play, without it, game over. Go Broncos! Beat Penn State!
I was such a young kid growing up in boise. My parents were at the game. I remember watching not knowing much at all and turned into the biggest game in boise state history and put us on the map. Havent turned back since
The hook and lateral to send it to OT, then the RPO with _Zabransky_ in motion to confuse the defense, and then the Statue of Liberty. This game is one of the GOATs of college ball.
I agree with many other comments that this was clearly one of the most exciting games in college football history. I'm sorry that only one team won. Winning by running a two-point play was just so gutsy.
Boise State was underestimated by most of the country back then. We out here in the West knew otherwise. I wasn’t surprised by their victory, but Oklahoma sure was.
Watching the first few highlights shows how much I remember watching this game live when I was 13. I’m grateful to have witnessed the greatest era of football.
When all the experts said it was a travesty that Boise State was in the Fiesta and didn't belong and Oklahoma who just barely missed the National Championship was going to blow the Broncos away.
NIL and transfer portal have all but guaranteed this type of football is a thing of the past… 😞 1/2 of that BSU team would have transferred if it was this era…
I called into work the next day. Same phone call, my boss said I got the welder spot that was open! I officially retired Sept 13th 2021, two months before my 40th birthday! BOOMER SOONER!
The greatest college game and they don't de-interlace the video?????????????????? Give us a proper progressive version without all the ugly jaggies fields
Knowing what we know. OU lost this game because they didn’t give AP the Ball more then they was supposed to. He was the only player on both team that’s a NFL Hall of Fam.
This was probably THE greatest football game I've ever seen.
One of the best College Football games ever
Yessssssss
Game Of All Time!!
Good friggin memories even as Auburn fan
I remember watching this as a kid. I wanted Boise State because I loved their blue field. Then to watch this end with The Statue of Liberty play, this was an instant classic football game and a core memory as a kid.
Blue field ugly. Gives you a headache.😊
The hook and lateral to send it to ot gave me chills as a kid I was like what’s happening 😅 too 5 game ever and your so spot on definitely core memory
I didn't know what a Statue of Liberty play was at the time but my dad exploded when Zabransky pulled it off.

Bag when stoops was called big game Bob lmao
This game was the very essence of college football.
proposal and all!
Bag when stoops was called big game Bob lmao

To this day I think this is the greatest football game I’ve ever watched PERIOD. Still remember this night like it was yesterday
I remember watching this while in Iraq where I was deployed. That statue of liberty play was something I’d always remember, CFB at its finest.
I was such a young kid growing up in boise. My parents were at the game. I remember watching not knowing much at all and turned into the biggest game in boise state history and put us on the map. Havent turned back since
Had the honor or going to this game and I'll never forget it. One of the best games ever
Amazing game and an even better proposal. Her face was priceless!!!
I'm 64 and that was the best i ever saw,,,,,,,,,What a Game !!!!!!
One off the best games ever...
The greatest football game of all time including the NFL. With Texas Vs USC a close second.
The hook and lateral to send it to OT, then the RPO with _Zabransky_ in motion to confuse the defense, and then the Statue of Liberty. This game is one of the GOATs of college ball.
Hard to argue with that.
I’m hoping Texas vs ASU will also be a game for the ages.
Agree
@Rockoblocko osu oregon
This game so friggin nostalgic
Oh, snap, they actually did... HAPPY FREAKING DAYS
One of my very favorite college classics ever!!!
I agree with many other comments that this was clearly one of the most exciting games in college football history. I'm sorry that only one team won. Winning by running a two-point play was just so gutsy.
I was at this game. I was in 4th grade, and it's one of the best memories of my life💙🧡
I was 16 and my father and I walked from our house at 83rd Ave and Glendale scalped club level seats from some drunk Oklahoma fans for $60
@JohnnyGingy it's good for that OU fan that he wasn't there lol
Bag when stoops was called big game Bob lmao
Boise State was underestimated by most of the country back then. We out here in the West knew otherwise. I wasn’t surprised by their victory, but Oklahoma sure was.
Boise St is the master of trickery. Great game!
I love seeing old Adrian Peterson gameplay 😊
Those old guys in the stands after Boise State won and the look of 'Who are these upstarts to beat us?' Yeah, they did, and memorably at that guys.
Watching the first few highlights shows how much I remember watching this game live when I was 13. I’m grateful to have witnessed the greatest era of football.
The best college game I ever watched and the fact Boise was and is my team didn’t hurt.
Bag when stoops was called big game Bob lmao
Guys, that's football!!!
One of the best plays in ncaa lateral/liberty
Two of the biggest upsets in football in history happened in that same stadium just a month a part! Wow
I was screaming for joy watching a Mountain West Conference rival take down the Sooners in epic fashion.
I remember this game but as a Boise State fan, I don't think teams will over look us as hard as Oklahoma did.
Charles David, that's some good commentary. I forgot that he did this game.
When all the experts said it was a travesty that Boise State was in the Fiesta and didn't belong and Oklahoma who just barely missed the National Championship was going to blow the Broncos away.
Just shed a tear 🥲
Imagine having All-day on your team and not running him all day. 😂
He was actually getting shut down most of the game .
In regulation he had 19 Carries for a total of 52 yards. Under 3 ypc before
Bag when stoops was called big game Bob lmao
Congratulations Chris Peterson!
I knew Boise was special this year since they kept up with the 🦆's this year. Shout out OU tho!!! GG's!!! 🤝🏼
I hope boise plays like this when that day comes GO BRONCOS 🟠🔵⚪️⚫️🐴🏈
They'll be sporting their lucky uniforms!
Bag when stoops was called big game Bob lmao
Best game ever
Classic!!!!❤
Bag when stoops was called big game Bob lmao
If I didn't know better, I'd say the QB for the Sooners was playing for BSU!
That was one exciting game to watch.
Nostalgic already even as loyal auburn fan
NIL and transfer portal have all but guaranteed this type of football is a thing of the past… 😞 1/2 of that BSU team would have transferred if it was this era…
Wedding present. Nice.
Every play doesn't need a replay!
Absolutely irritating. A replay for every single play! Horrible editing!
Worst highlights ever!
I called into work the next day. Same phone call, my boss said I got the welder spot that was open! I officially retired Sept 13th 2021, two months before my 40th birthday! BOOMER SOONER!
All of their trickery worked. So it was their offense. Not trickery.
My bad wow Boise State got it! OT win.
You completely left out Oklahoma's comeback touchdown, prior to the 2-point conversion. I guess they were given 6 points for free. haha
Bag when stoops was called big game Bob lmao
I was thinking this was part of the playoffs in 2024😂
🔥
BRAVO BOISE !!!
That was an amazing game! Both teams played well. Boise won without Genty or starting QB?!!!
This was from 2006 lol
@cd2_ oh lol - shame on me. 🤣🤣🤣
Bag when stoops was called big game Bob lmao
Great game
Amen
Ok, who put this highlight package together and left out a touchdown?
Wow, played dirty!!!! 😅
Boise shoulda been in tbe final. Sec ran from.them
jared zebransky the goat
Was that the kid that AP got in trouble for hitting with a stick?
Wow Boise State Fell Apart !
They won?
Try turning the TV on.
@@58Rev me? They still won even if they struggled late
FOX editing down to their usual standards. Not showing the first OU TD in the 4th quarter. SMDH
Talk about cloning. Peterson looks exactly like his dad!
Terrible game. OU QB plays terrible throwing interception after interception and OU coach don't utilize Mr. Peterson properly. SMH.
当年Boise State异军突起,但很多老牌强队内心存疑。此战奠定Boise State强队地位,对提升知名度,招生有极大益处。
Aaaahhhhaaahhaaaaaaa
The greatest college game and they don't de-interlace the video?????????????????? Give us a proper progressive version without all the ugly jaggies fields
garbage highlights, so many missing SCORING plays.
I lived in Idaho and hated everything about Boise State. Including the Freaking Blue Field. UHHHH
💯👍🏻
So nostalgic & im Auburn fan
OU gave it away several times and still almost won.
"Dumpster Bowl" 2024. That was the ugliest football game I have ever seen in over 40 years. Yes, it was ugly but highly entertaining.
Knowing what we know. OU lost this game because they didn’t give AP the Ball more then they was supposed to. He was the only player on both team that’s a NFL Hall of Fam.
Look up the stats for the game. They gave it to him quite a bit and Boise shut him down. Only good runs he had were the ones in these highlights.
Boise has someone that will be hall of fame ryan clady OT dude was beast in NFL and this game
Classic!
