- Nintendo Direct leaks and rumors are picking and some substantial the Legend of Zelda news as well. We have confirmation of the Zelda Lego set, the Dragon Quest 3 HD 2D remakes details coming soon, and perhaps even more. Maybe a hint towards the theorized Ocarina of Time remake, a new Mario Party and more Gamecube and 3DS remasters. Let's talk about it!

@@soul71000 Because I don't want to have to buy another console for a simple Wii U Port that Nintendo should've brought to the Switch like many others. I prefer more powerful and new Zelda titles for the next gen and leave the Wii U ports like Twilight Princess HD on the Nintendo Switch.
It would be nice if Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons gets a remake form.
What would be even cooler is if they did the original idea of making it 3 games and make oracle of secrets. That was the original plan but the technology and time didn’t allow it the first go around.
It’d be even better than a remake cause then it’d be a whole new experience

im not convinced lego sets have any indication of a game releasing, we've been getting Animal Crossing lego and i dont see there being any Animal Crossing game until 2026 at the earliest

There's no way they'd release an Ocarina remake on the Switch. If they have an Ocarina remake ready, it will be on the Switch 2 as they will want a popular Zelda title to be on the new system around launch and the next big 3D Zelda game is 5+ years out.
If there was a remake being made I'm sure there would be leaks about it.
Holding hope Wind waker and Twilight princess are the Zelda ports at the direct. Im not alone. You can take my money 💰 🤑!

I'd welcome a remake of Metroid Prime Hunters.
I LOVED that game.
Midori also says that the HD 2D remake will actually be a trilogy of the first three Dragon quest games instead of just Dragon Quest III. That's probably why team Asano has been quiet about it for three years. Also when you look carefully at that announcement post, they only say Dragon Quest.
Star Fox Adventure has a hell of a lot to gain from a full blown remake.

The fact we're this late into the Switch lifecycle with no Twilight Princess or Wind Waker is beyond baffling.
A Link Between Worlds on Switch would be amazing.
If a Zelda focused story is to be made, I’d say it would be it’s own game… the idea of it being focused around Sheik would be awesome.
I rather have oracle games or link to the past remade. I haven't played those. Link between worlds was amazing but it's too early to remake it
@@davidlubkowski7175 I dont see Link to the Past getting a remake since it TECHNICALLY got one in Link Between Worlds on the 3DS since MOST of the game plays nearly the same as Link to the Past.

They better to announce something for Star Fox and Metroid since we still don't have any new Star Fox game or a Adventures / Assault remaster and we have just 2 Metroid games in 7 years of Nintendo Switch so it's not like if we suffer a lack of cash grab games such Mario, Pokemon, Fire Emblem and Kirby being released every years huh?

Yeah, like the almost planned Ura Zelda stuff for the Nintendo 64 Disk Drive.
We're talking about Nintendo here, any port/remake is bound to be as low effort as possible.
All cut temples are basically already released in newer games just in a different form.
You'd have a better time of them just implementing the Downfall Timeline ending into the remake (kinda like how Banjo and Kazooie had a bad ending game over screen).

The Ocarina of Time set does not at all allude to a new version of the game, Lego does throwback stuff all the time and for legos this expensive they know they have an older audience who likely played the og ocarina of time, they recently did a set on the 60’s Batman series, that doesn’t mean they were bringing that back Lego just likes to makes sets on old stuff
I’d hope for Fire Emblem Awakening or Path of Radiance being the ones getting the remakes. They could be under the Echoes banner like shadows of Valentia. If so I bet intelligent systems will half the framerate like they did Paper Mario though.
I don’t think awakening needs a remake tbh. It’s fine as is and isn’t old enough imo. Path of radiance or radiant dawn are more deserving of a remake imo.

It is great to see that even if the Nintendo switch 2 comes out the current switch will still get games for a the time being even if there just mostly ports and remasters which is totally fine by me and are even cross Gen games! I don't have to get the next system right away similar to Sony even when the ps5 came out we are to this day still getting games for the ps4!
Would bet on the Oracle games getting a remake at some point. They already have the Link's Awakening engine to use, and I would not be surprised if they try to go back to the original plan of making the Oracle games a trilogy. They scrapped the third game due to programing issues, but they have come a long way since then.

I hope they don’t remake oot. They already did it, they should just remaster oot 3DS and remake a game that actually needs it. But of course it would probably make more money, so they will do it
After playing Octopath Traveler 2 on my PC, I can't go back to playing HD-2D games on Switch.
Excited for DQ III HD-2D, but I'll definitely be playing on PC (unless there's a Switch 2 version)
There's zero point to buying anything on switch that's available on PC. Worse prices, way worse hardware and no mods.

The lego set releases in September, and if im not mistaken the TP Manga set releases in November. 2 Zelda games many are anticipating. I am not sure if either of them correlate or if Nintendo just wants to market Zelda in the fall for some reason 🤔 could be nothing though. I am excited to see what is in this direct! A GC game I would love to see remastered/remade is Sonic Adventure Battle 2. Four Swords also *might* be fun if they have online functionality or an ideal local co op situation (only one console needed)

About the idea of playing Zelda as Sheik, seems like that idea could be a game of it's own. Makes me think of the game Retro was working on before it got cancelled.
A zelda ocarina of time remake game, with lego aestethic, and make it a toy-like looks like links awakening... Id Definitely play that!

ya. nintendo loves remakes and ports at end of systems life spans.. look at 3DS, and wii U, for examples. and i believe the Wii for selects.
I feel like the next direct might have a good amount of Zelda stuff in it, no matter if it's an OoT remake or WW/TP HD rereleases. Having a new Mario party would be nice too. I think you're a little bit on the hopium for Nintendo picking one of their smaller IP for a Gamecube and 3DS remake even with the reasoning of their recent showings. They could just pick to remake Luigi's Mansion and one of the 3DS Kirby games. That being said I too want a Star Fox Adventures or Assault remake
Well I hope they can do full-on remakes of both Kirby Triple Deluxe and Kirby Planet Robobot because both of them are amazing and we don't want one of them to stay on the 3DS so I hope we do get both of them on Switch also maybe adding new side story modes for both Taranza and Susie just like how they did with Magolor in Magolor Epilogue so I just do hope we do get them on Switch before we move to Switch 2
They already remade Luigi's Mansion on the 3DS. So it could either be a port or remaster like 2 HD.

There could be a game focused around Geno (from Mario RPG). Same treatment as Snufkin, but with combat.

Personally, I think that if there were a spin-off starring Zelda, in my opinion, it’d better be far more superior than the two infamous CDi games that had her in a lead playable role…
As for the Gamecube and 3DS remakes, I would definitely want the original Chibi-Robo! game from the early 2000, as well as Tomodachi Life.

Unless it's the Imprisoning War mentioned in ALttP I wouldn't be as excited. I'd imagine there was a Zelda during that era too so it would still be possible to have a game on that version too.

I think they should remake ocarina of time and the oracle games, but for switch 2.
This year a new donkey Kong looks more realistic, but we will probably get 3Ds HD ports.

@@peterc504 there are other pixel art games that look better than alttp imo, but i will agree that i dont want it in the toy aesthetic. Its cute but it makes it harder to take serious
@@codysvlogdays in sure there are the game was made back in 1991 lol but I highly doubt any pixel art game looks that much better than alttp.. the amazing thing about super nes games is you can play them today and they hardly aged vs the 3d stuff
@peterc504 no no I meant pixel games from around the same time frame, I'm not talking about any modern pixel games. I personally think super metroid, super mario world, and yoshis island all looked better than alttp. They all look good though. It's like you said, snes games age really well (minus dk country, that hurts to look at imo. Still a fun game series though)

If they ever do any sort of remake for Ocarina of Time, they are basically required to do the same for Majora's Mask. One can't go without the other.

Ocarina of time doesn't need a remake, at most maybe port the 3ds version to switch but if that happened Majoras mask would need to be ported as well. I think everyone should move on from ocarina of time. It's a fantastic game yes but they could be making another fantastic game that's brand new.
Just give me a remastered/remake of Eternal Darkness, and I'll be happy.
We don’t need another ocarina of time. I wld be satisfied with the HD remakes of Twilight and wind waker which are stuck in WiiU
Something I'd love a remastered/remake of is starfox adventures! It's zelda-esque I liked it however I would love a alternative mode to play Krystal! I doubt this would ever happen just like how I doubt the make Luigi's story in thousand year door a dlc or add characters that people have begged for since pretty much melee to smash! Yes yes! Smash has come along way and we have a lot now! But there's still a lot that could be added! With that only time will show what we will get!
If Nintendo is smart they d release a remake of Ocarina of time this year. This title is the reason why Zelda is now what it is. It would bring so much more interest for the new switch 2
Actually, Twilight Princess is the reason why 1.) Zelda is what it is today & 2.) Why the Zelda series is still here... TP was the title the creator didn't want to make, but after the sales for Wind Waker were low and then after that Four Swords sales were even lower. But after a small demo of what would be Twilight Princess would have been like the crowd at the screening went wild for it. Ocarina might be the most pivotal and influential game of the series, but Twilight Princess is the reason why it's still around.
