The worst part about Haltmann is that he spend the rest of his life trying to build a machine that can grand any wish simply to revive his daughter, without knowing that she was literally in front of him the whole time and thus he spent the last moments of his life dying from his own creation, without even seeing her one last time
Nergral in Fire Emblem 7 also has the same tragic fate. He sent his dragon children to another realm to keep them safe, but unable to bring them back. He turned to dark magic and killed countless people to gain enough power to open the portal again. Once he did, however, his mind was so twisted that he couldn't even remember why he tried so hard to do so, and tried to kill his children who he had just brought back to gain even more power. Even more, due to the shock, the children didn't recognize their own father, and helped Eliwood to kill him instead.
Itoi said Porky will be trapped in the capsule even after the sun and all life on earth dies It's honestly sad to think about... Trapped in a crippled state in a cramped capsule for all of time.
He would then beg for death, though there would be nothing out there that can kill him... No Drago Fangs to pierce his heart, no cars to run him down, no lightning from the heavens to strike him where he stood... Nothing, because nothing can break through the shell of the Absolutely Safe Capsule... And then, eventually, like Kars, _Porky would stop thinking..._
No matter what even a supernova a black hole the end of the universe and the creation of a new universe NOTHING Porky will be sealed away forever in an indestructible un openable seal forever
I feel bad for both Susie and Taranza because they had to see the person that they care about get driven insane due to wanting to achieve one goal. Sectonia wanted endless beauty and Haltmann wanted to see his daughter again even though Susie was standing right in front of him.
Even worse, Sectonia didn't even want endless beauty. She just felt bad and ugly, and the enchanted mirror twisted her goal and mind. Taranza accidentally caused his closest friend to become not just a shell, but a completely different person, and he knew it.
I always thought Haltmann was just a greedy bastard. But I never knew about his lost child, and it's just so tragic. And all of a sudden, Susie's connection with Haltmann makes so much more sense to me.
The worst part is that his daughter was actually *right there* the whole game, but he no longer remembers her bc his constant tinkering w/ Star Dream made it glitch out and wipe Haltmann’s memories.
Haltmann probably had the worst one imo. I still find the Soul OS Star Dream fight to be horrifying espescially the last phase when the pause screen says Haltmann is no more on top of a quote of him looking for his daughter and that Star Dream is now a mindless killing machine. Pretty deep stuff from a franchise that started out as a flying gumball fighting a penguin for stealing food.
Atleast haltman died and got put to rest, porky had to spend eternity inside the absolutely safe capsule, which is a very small metal sphere. Though Haltmann's fate was definitely the 2nd most gruesome of this list

Nah I think Porky wins. He was already so sick and old that he could barely breathe, and he couldn’t move. Now imagine that for literal eternity, in a 5x5 foot sphere with no sort of stimuli other than a single window into the infinite blackness of space. THAT’S horrifying.
@@mercedesmorato8587 they make something to destroy the absolutely safe capsule and free porky, your comment would be the first thing he would say after being released
The worst one is surely porky's fate. And i got an interesting idea out of this: If nintendo ever makes a MOTHER 4, they should do a part of the game where the heroes find the capsule, and they slowly look into it, and you vget a jumpscare of a decripid, withered-like Porky just against the glass.
What’s even more sad about haltmann is that the more he uses Star Dream the more he forgot until the point of his life to him changed from: bringing back his daughter Susie to: infinite money and even when he sees his daughter again he doesn’t remember her just thinks she’s familiar and finally he has entire soul absorbed by star dream and Kirby destroyed Star dream sadly killing haltmanns soul with it he just wanted to see his daughter again
For more context surrounding Kirby Planet Robobot's backstory/lore: Susie/Susanna Patrya Haltmann was involved in a project with Star Dream that resulted in her getting sucked into a pocket dimension. After spending a day in the pocket dimension, Susie managed to escape and return to Haltmann, but years have passed in her dimension and long-term exposure to Star Dream was slowly beginning corrupting him, changing his company's policies of using his technology for prospering to mechanizing the world. A part of the old Haltmann remained and he recognized his daughter enough to hire her as his secretary for the Haltmann Works Company. In hopes of saving her father, Susie stole a device Haltman was using to control Star Dream, but it backfires and his soul is absorbed into the machine. In a final attempt to offer her father salvation, Susie requests Kirby and Meta-Knight to stop Star Dream and free her father's soul. A last-ditch effort by Kirby worked and destroyed Star Dream, but Kirby's Robobot was torn apart in the ensuing attack and the memory unit acts upon its own volition to save Kirby as it drifts into the depths of space, potentially suffering a worse fate than Haltmann. Susie would return to the Haltmann Works Company to continue following her father's initial ambition and even returns to aid Kirby in Star Allies. Although the Kirby series is notorious for finding ways to revive characters like Marx, Zero and Dark Meta-Knight this appears to be a permanent situation similar to Sailor Waddle Dee, Sectonia and possibly Elfilis.
About elfilis, I’m pretty sure in the end of forgotten world they returned (in credits if I’m correct) but then again they could be dead, sailor waddle dee and sectonia are definitely dead

In Mario and Luigi partners in time there is a section of the game where all the Toads are trapped on the Woods of this Forest. These Trees suck all of Toad's blood to make UFO fuel out of it. It's impressive how all of this happens in a Mario game
I just started playing this game a few days ago. I was genuinely shocked how dark this game is compared to most other Mario games. Maybe that’s why it never got a remake
I've never played any of the Mother games, but Porky's fate of being trapped inside a capsule forever with no way to escape or even die...yeah, that ain't pretty.
Dr. Andonuts warned Porky that the capsule will never be opened again once he's inside but he still went with it and wondered if it's what Porky wanted. Also, Porky did stated that he wanted to destroy all of reality because no one truly likes him and that he preferred to be all alone for eternity and due to him being spoiled rotten to hell and still mentally a child, he sees the capsule as a womb where he'll never grow up.

What makes the Haltmann situation worse is you yourself witness part of his downfall. It just gets deeper, and deeper, and deeper, until all of a sudden, you're now required to kill him off. How Kirby still manages to keep that goofy smile of his after all of that is astounding.
The baby thing only applies in the anime where it shows as he literally has to be guided around to do things. Compared that to his game counterpart where he is definitely capable on his own. Even then, how would Kirby know about Haltmann's tragic story? Haltmann at that point was already robotizing everything and even attempted to destroy the world. Kirby had to do what he had to do.
Mighty Gazelle is my favorite racer from F-Zero so seeing him on here is surprising. I wouldn't say he suffered a fate worse than death. In his interviews after winning a grand prix, he says some of the following: >He doesn't miss his human body at all >With his new body, he can do disaster rescue because he can go where humans can't >Despite losing his fiance after the accident, he managed to recover from that and get a girlfriend (I hope you don't think she's a cyborg too) Not to mention because of his new body, he can be much more reckless with his racing because death isn't as big a risk to him. If anything, it's not a fate worse than death, but a new lease on life.
...that's actually incredibly wholesome. Especially the disaster relief part! I can see him showing up to Chernobyl with a shovel shouting about "Weak Meatbags" XD
Only one here that lived a better life yet there are some cyborgs like Robo cop and Cyborg himself who doesn't like being in a metallic body so the creator must've added bim considering for some ppl being basically a robot isn't a fun way to live a life
"Death isn't as big a risk to him." Is his consciousness now a program that can be downloaded into a fully robotic body in case of irreparable damage? Or is he just far more durable than about 10 normal humans?
@@franzicoy In one of his interviews about what he is going to do with his prize money, he mentions buying a new body, "One of those antique ones" So yes, it seems he can do such a thing.
What about the 3 Mage Sisters? They had their Hearts stolen from them, and had to work for Hyness to revive Void Termina. By the end, they're begging Void to return their hearts to them. Tbh, almost every Main Antagonist in the Kirby Series needs to be here, even King Dedede, who tends to always be under some sort of Mind Control until Kirby frees him.
What?, no, you got it wrong The Three Mage Sisters were saved by Hyness from an almost death, and it is stated that Zan Partizane was trying to kill herself by jumping from the highest tower in her world but Kracko saw her as an intruder and threw a lightning to her, this did not kill her but the fall almost did, however Hyness rescued her and took her as one of the members of his cult, offering her love and affection. Franziska was freezing to death and Flamberge was burning to death, all of them saved by Hyness and he gave them affection and care. However since Hyness was slowly being corrupted by the Jamba Heart, he started acting weird, but the 3 Mage Sisters didn't care and stayed by his side, until the very end, this makes the True Ending of Heroes in Another Dimention sad and happy, because the Three Mage Sisters brought back Hyness, their most beloved friend and almost a fatherly figure.
I don’t think that’s literally what the prayer song to god meant. The lore of the Mage Sisters is slightly less tragic. Each one had been on the verge of death. Francisca was freezing to death, Flamberge got caught in a fire, and Zan climbed a tower in desperation only to be struck by lightning (some say she was trying to commit suicide though I’m not positive about that). Hyness came along and used his magic to save them and give them elemental powers. Hyness was originally a caring and kind priest, but spiraled into madness through the Jamba Heart and started his abuse on the Mage Sisters. Even then, their loyalty knew no bounds, and they stayed by his side, As another reply said, the thing that makes their fates better than that of Haltmann’s is that Kirby and friends manage to save not only them, but also Hyness. There’s even a puzzle art of them enjoying themselves at the beach titled “Let Them Know We’re Happy”. Haltmann could not receive this kindness in time, and the only thing Kirby could do was put him down.

I wouldn't call Mighty Gazelle becoming a cyborg a fate worse than death. In GX, when the player wins with Gazelle on Master difficulty, a TV host asks him a question, one of which can be "do you miss your human body?" and Gazelle says he doesn't. Don't take the "only living for F-Zero" part as though he was programmed to be a slave for the competition, as racing was already his passion before the accident.

he canonically becomes immortal in X thanks to the weapon being powered by Xerneas, he only dies in Y, which is pretty fucked but sick in a way? like he tried to eliminate all life on earth, so he got cursed with eternal life while constantly being crushed. pretty fitting punishment.
But technically his fate is not him just dying; it's that he has to die repeatedly, sometimes as a mindless animal. Usually when someone's fate is dying, they stay dead and that is where their story ends. Ganon has to suffer being killed many times over (but I guess he would never know the pain felt by his previous selves as far as ai am aware). I guess his was him being a mindless animal, but I see where you are coming from in that example and others like the ghost eating himself when he was alive.

I feel that an argument could be made that Lysandre (From Pokemon X/Y) had a worse fate than Porky. I mean, yes their fates were pretty much the same, but while Porky is simply stuck in a capsule for all eternity, Lysandre is buried deep under the ground, presumably in a coffin, so it's just him laying there, no movement, no sight, only him and his (likely still sinister knowing that psycho) thoughts. Still not as bad as working for Wario though
Depends on if you played X or Y; in Y the blast is heavily implied to have killed him, in X it gave him immortality but now he’s trapped under the base’s rubble.
I think the thing that REALLY sucks about Gannon's situation is that even if he does succeed in killing Link, he still looses! he's in a situation where he literally cannot win and is forced to relive getting beaten, FOR ALL ETERNITY!!! no matter what he does, no matter how well he does, no matter how smart he is, he is destined to fail over and over and over again! I feel bad for the guy, he didn't even really do anything to deserve this fate, it was just thrust upon him without his consent
Not really without his consent, given the entire reason he, link, and zelda all come back to life is because in his first life he cursed them all eternally to that fate.
Fun Fact about River Twigzz: If you listen really closely, you can hear very faint noises that sound like people talking, and that’s because it is people talking…Nintendo recorded a meeting that was taking place and put it in River Twigzz among the other disturbing noises and sounds as like a troll or a goof or whatnot

I think Haltmann has the worst fate of them all, sure Porky is forced to live forever in such small space but as far as I saw, he didn't show any signs of pain besides coughing, Haltmann went through so much, He lost his only child, his memory slowly decayed until Susie got back and he forgot all about his only child that being Susie, lost control of star dream, which practically was slowly sucking the life out of Haltmann while he was still conscious until he lost all his memories and lost his soul, screaming in pain after each pillar inside Nova is destroyed until the heart of Nova disintegrating, making you hear his last scream before death, Then again there is working for Wario
I also remember the story in Pokemon X, about a Pokemon who died during a war, and his owner was so sad, that he killed others Pokemons, to make his Pokemon come back to live, and be immortal. But once the Pokemon came back to live, he learned that his owner killed Pokemon for him, and he was so chocked, he ran away from his owner, and he never saw him again. (Exept at the end of the game, good ending and stuff) (Sorry if i use a bad english)
The machine used to save Eternal Flower Floette was technically different to the ultimate weapon as the ultimate weapon was made by CONVERTING it and it's original energy source to a different OS, taking rather than giving life by projecting intense energy rather than infusing quantities of it into a body. The AZ story also said he converted the machine into the ultimate weapon because his heart 'hardened' after Floette's death and 'consumed with rage and grief' he decided to end the war before it could ruin his beloved Pokémon's new life. Eternal flower floette just hated the fact that AZ chose genocide as a means of protection as it went against everything the pair believed in before the war and the reason she chose to fight in it, she participated to keep AZ out of it.
Haven’t even played any of the Mother games, but even thinking about the only inevitable thing in your life being ripped away from you, just being trapped for eternity is a horrifying thought, especially for an overthinker who thinks too much about existence
To add to the horror, porky bended time and space in mother 2, making him practically both about 10000 years old from the time travel, and practically immortal from the space warping he did. Not only is he trapped, he is trapped in a crippled state, and he will stay that way FOREVER, and his state will only get worse, thats dark
98% of Kirby: Bright and bubbly music, lively and colorful aesthetic, fairly forgiving gameplay The remaining 2%: Terrifying lore, casual deathmatches against eldritch horrors and superbeings
Porky's fate is probably the most terrifying one there could ever be. He will be in that capsule for the rest of time, billions upon billions of years, even after all life in the universe dies, due to his immortality he will still be there, alone, forever. People go insane after being trapped in darkness alone, now think of that but times a near infinite amount, death would be the greatest gift he could ever get.
Porky's fate is definitely worse than death when I played mother 3 for the first time and got to this part hearing that porky is immortal and once he gets inside the absolute safe capsule and it will never open and he'll be in there for all eternity every time that gives me deep dark chills down my spine I know porky is annoying and he turned on Ness and sided with Giygas I don't want that for porky
I've always been intrigued and horrified by the concept of infinity and eternity. Being conscious for an undeterminable amount of time is a fate that is, above every other, worse than death. Death is an eventual relief from personal entropy and one of the few kindnesses the total indeference a universe has by default. It puts an end to any pain and agony one conscious creature has. Death is a misery put to an end. And so to deny one's own merciful death by never being able to die while suffering a horrible illness is frighteningly horrific to me. You will be stuck in a state of suffering past the reach of Death and live every single second of the next span of time that makes the Heat Death of the Universe look like a flash of light. Entropic death a kindness so pinnacle and massively important that the uncaring bastard of reality has deemed necessary. And you have just exiled yourself from that kindness. The Absolute Safety Sphere is hands down, 100% and the end-all and be-all worst fate a being with the concept of consciousness can have, in my opinion.
Haltmann going insane and endangering many lives just to get his daughter back reminds me of the Woodsman from Over the Garden Wall. Luckily he has a happy ending.
Porky's fate must be disturbing when he figures out he can't leave the torture like chamber he entered without know what is about to happen, then watches the outside after the years gone by when the earth is gone.
Everyone here is talking about the horrible fates Susie, Taranza, Haltman and Sectonia faced. No one here is talking about how Master Porky literally got himself trapped not realizing what just happened thinking that Lucas can't beat him anymore. At some point in the future (if he realizes) he will go insane and stop thinking.
Porky and Haltmann’s fate was probably the worst. Consider the fact porky is stuck inside a capsule forever is very sad. And haltmann lost her daughter and his soul absorbed inside a machine is just the absolute worst, consider the fact that her daughter was with her all along

I think in Pokémon X, Lysandre had a worse fate than Porky. He is trapped forever being crushed by rocks and unable to die. Also, Nintendo has made many bosses where you kill the ghost of that said boss.
I feel like Lysandre will probably at least die when the rest of the Pokemon world eventually dies out. But, Porky has been confirmed as not being able to die by *anything* - even if the Earth were to be consumed by the Sun in 5 billion years, Porky would still be alive inside the capsule, unable to leave or do anything about his situation.

The Metroid Prime 3 one was incorrect, he doesn’t end his own life. Dark Samus controls all 3 bounty hunters and makes them attack you, and when you defeat them, Dark Samus disposes of them and absorbs them. They have no control over the matter, it is Dark Samus simply destroying what is deemed useless and absorbing their essence. This happens to all 3 bounty hunters.
The worse death in that game is actually your own, when Samus dies to corruption overload, dark Samus takes control, essentially allowing her to infect the entire universe with phazon as there is no one left uncorrupted to stop her
I think if Haltmann survived the Star Dream OS incident it would probably be worse than the death he got. He probably would’ve suffered permanent injury mentally and physically considering his entire being was erased. If Star Dream just exploded and spat him out he’d probably be in a somewhat undead, possibly conscious, paralyzed state, and he’d either be abandoned there or put in a containment area where he’d rot for eternity
5:07 that’s not actually ganon. It’s most likely a puppet made from the malice leaking from the real ganon (shown in the breath of the wild 2 announcement trailer).
Never thought I’d have a chance to “Um, actually,” the “Um, actually,” dude, but here we go: Calamity Ganon is not a puppet, but rather a manifestation of Ganondorf’s power leaking from the seal, becoming a completely separate entity with its own ‘mind’ (or lack there of).
Jin (Xenoblade 2 and Torna) needs to be on this list! He endured more mental pain and emotional distress than any character ever. He couldn't even die to end it. As Malos said at the end "but that man had lost everything. He didn't even want to live anymore! But he had to live on because his life was the only thing he hadn't lost, because he couldn't!"
Yeah, Lora's last words to Jin were a curse that made him have to stay alive in order to keep the last memories anyone have of her alive so she won't be forgotten by Jin and his love for Lora made him unable to kill himself even though he wants nothing more than that. Thus he endured a suffering existence for 500 years because of this curse the woman he loves accidentally put on him.
Samus Aran watched Ridley tell her that the reason her home planet had been destroyed was her fault, and that he ate her parents to survive its destruction. Zero was the patient Zero for the Maverick virus, and was indirectly responsible for every new maverick ever. Silver lives in a future where Iblis has destroyed everything. And when he finally manages to get him sealed (losing his best friend in the process), Mephilis then goes to the past and fuses with Iblis anyway, making her sacrifice entirely pointless. Zelda (botw) has held the Calamity for a hundred years to give Link time to come save her, while bearing the guilt of not being able to use her powers, effectively condemning the champions to death. I won't say that Jin hasn't suffered. But saying that he suffered the most is false. Add to that the fact that he then teamed up with the one who had caused his suffering, and I don't have much sympathy left for him.
Add on to that, Haze, who was like a sister to Jin, due to them sharing Lora as a Driver, became a blade to the same man, who killed Lora. To add insult to injury, her driver stole half of her core crystal, in order to use her powers for himself. Eventually, Jin killed Haze, in order to free her from being forced to serve Amalthus, any longer.
Everyone (including me) always memes about how Kirby is a cute game only on the surface, and that it actually contains deep, horrifying lore. However, it only makes sense for the franchise to be that way. Kirby is a being of hopes and dreams--a symbol of purity. The fact that he fights such dark abominations and stays joyful is like a metaphor for having hope in the face of your worst fears, and it does a good job of emphasizing Kirby's innocence. After all, wouldn't a being of dreams naturally save the world from nightmares? Sometimes, it takes the darkness of night to see the light of stars. And the darker the night--the further you are from the familiar safety of civilization--the more stars can be seen.
I don't know why Kirby is so dark. I mean, Happy Tree Friend's joke is that is a cute show with tons of gore. I don't know why Kirby's joke is not that it's a cutesy franchise with deeply dark aspects; blood, death, disturbing imagery, body horror... We all know that, but Nintendo refuses to advertise it like that
Porky's fate always gave me shivers and still does to this day. Just the thought of unknowingly being trapped in a relatively small, enclosed structure for all of eternity, unable to die, and unable to move due to incredible age. Porky as a character has always kind of been a tragic one. But the Absolutely Safe Capsule just adds even more tragedy, along with a heap of existentialism to it. The worst part of this in my opinion is that he used to be just a semi-normal child. While yes, he is one of the most evil Nintendo villains, even *he* doesn't really deserve it.

I wouldn’t say Ganon’s fate is worse than death. Skyward Sword spoilers below: At the end of Skyward Sword, he CHOSE to curse Link and Zelda so that all three of them incarnate. He wasn’t cursed, he cursed himself. It was a kamikaze of sorts, but he made the willing choice to do it.
Just because you choose something doesn’t mean you cannot later regret it and it goes from paradise to torture… It’s like saying someone cursing themself to live forever isn’t that bad because they wanted it as if a million years later they don’t suffer because if it and regret it. At first yea it’s not torture or worse than death..but eventually it goes on so long it IS worse than death
Porky's fate is terrifying to think about, but Haltman's... Oh God, Haltman's fate is truly nightmarish, he's still alive, part of Star Dream OS, but he's just another component, no soul, no emotion, nothing, just a gear in the machine
in kirby there are also taranza and seconia's story. for mystery dungeon in the final episode, almost all pokémon (even arceus) are petrified and block into a dimension like hell. and for mother gygas has also a horrible fate, he became so powerful than he became evil, and it hurt him, then everything he wanted was to take the power that humans take from his kind.
Porky had the worst fate for everyone else, but for him, he had the best fate. I'm not sure where I heard this, but it was said that Porky remained after the death of the universe, but he was still happy, still thinking he had won.
Poor Rundas, man. I know there are obviously worse deaths out there, but it might be the most iconic Metroid Prime moment these days, and for good reason. Metroid is the series where Nintendo doesn't hold back, and it shows in specific moments like that.
Porky being trapped forever in the Absolutely Safe Capsule is very horrifying to think of, being trapped in a small confined space until the end of time. I feel glad that you jokingly put working for Wario as the worst fate of all, that helped lighten the mood.
Im pretty sure its canonical, in star allies Susie ends up taking over the company and starts helping people with the mechas (there is an error in the English translation in that it says she instead takes over and continues her fathers work of mechanizing the galaxy)
In Kirby star allies, there's descriptions for everyone of why they are fighting with kirby. With Susie, it says after her father's death, she took over his business.
I feel bad for Ganondorf. Trapped in a constant state of death and resurrection because a green-clad femboy from the woods and the reincarnation of a literal goddess pissed off himself from a past life that also was a demon.
Really Demise is the one doing this he’s forcing ganondorf to do so much evil and destruction even turning him into a force of death calamity ganon all because demise was killed
0:30 This music is literally a phase of Mr. Incredible Becoming Uncanny, for those of you who are into that. Though the final dungeon music in Mother 3 would also work well for MIBU.
5:20 Calamity Ganon might very well be just Phantom Ganon since someone that might very well be Ganondorf chills mummified down below. Gotta wait for BotW 2 to possible find out if it's true.

He would then beg for death, though there would be nothing out there that can kill him... No Drago Fangs to pierce his heart, no cars to run him down, no lightning from the heavens to strike him where he stood... Nothing, because nothing can break through the shell of the Absolutely Safe Capsule...

For more context surrounding Kirby Planet Robobot's backstory/lore:
Susie/Susanna Patrya Haltmann was involved in a project with Star Dream that resulted in her getting sucked into a pocket dimension.

Even then, how would Kirby know about Haltmann's tragic story? Haltmann at that point was already robotizing everything and even attempted to destroy the world. Kirby had to do what he had to do.

Mighty Gazelle is my favorite racer from F-Zero so seeing him on here is surprising.

>With his new body, he can do disaster rescue because he can go where humans can't
>Despite losing his fiance after the accident, he managed to recover from that and get a girlfriend (I hope you don't think she's a cyborg too)
Not to mention because of his new body, he can be much more reckless with his racing because death isn't as big a risk to him.
If anything, it's not a fate worse than death, but a new lease on life.
So basically he just has a better life now
...that's actually incredibly wholesome. Especially the disaster relief part!
I can see him showing up to Chernobyl with a shovel shouting about "Weak Meatbags" XD

yes but they have a good ending not like haltmann or sectonia.
Yeah but they are freed thats the point lol
What?, no, you got it wrong
The Three Mage Sisters were saved by Hyness from an almost death, and it is stated that Zan Partizane was trying to kill herself by jumping from the highest tower in her world but Kracko saw her as an intruder and threw a lightning to her, this did not kill her but the fall almost did, however Hyness rescued her and took her as one of the members of his cult, offering her love and affection.
Wait, what?
I don't think I ever played their story in Star Allies. I don't remember any of that...
Even then, their loyalty knew no bounds, and they stayed by his side,
As another reply said, the thing that makes their fates better than that of Haltmann’s is that Kirby and friends manage to save not only them, but also Hyness. There’s even a puzzle art of them enjoying themselves at the beach titled “Let Them Know We’re Happy”. Haltmann could not receive this kindness in time, and the only thing Kirby could do was put him down.

Technically, the phrase "a fate worse than death" can only be used when you don't actually die. And some of these characters did (Ganon repeatedly).

"the underwhere lol"
@dragonslayer7724 I remember when there was a time I would listen to each of the characters themes in the background :)))
(Exept at the end of the game, good ending and stuff)
(Sorry if i use a bad english)
That’s AZ and his Floette’s backstory, yeah
The machine used to save Eternal Flower Floette was technically different to the ultimate weapon as the ultimate weapon was made by CONVERTING it and it's original energy source to a different OS, taking rather than giving life by projecting intense energy rather than infusing quantities of it into a body. The AZ story also said he converted the machine into the ultimate weapon because his heart 'hardened' after Floette's death and 'consumed with rage and grief' he decided to end the war before it could ruin his beloved Pokémon's new life. Eternal flower floette just hated the fact that AZ chose genocide as a means of protection as it went against everything the pair believed in before the war and the reason she chose to fight in it, she participated to keep AZ out of it.
unconfirmed pokemon fact: Flareon is the most huggable pokemon (like i said, this is not confirmed)
98% of Kirby: Bright and bubbly music, lively and colorful aesthetic, fairly forgiving gameplay
The remaining 2%: Terrifying lore, casual deathmatches against eldritch horrors and superbeings
I saw the thumbnail, and knew that this video was going to be sad. I remembered what happened to Porky, and the sad story of President Haltmann.
And when he wants it, he can never get it. The Ultimate Game Over.
Eventually, Porky will stop thinking.
No, it's not the worst fate , the worst fate is working for wario
You knew there had to be AT LEAST one Kirby entry on here.
Haltmann going insane and endangering many lives just to get his daughter back reminds me of the Woodsman from Over the Garden Wall. Luckily he has a happy ending.
Master porky’s fate is actually what he wants. Since the world is just a meaningless game, he’d rather just sit for eternity watching.
It's said that time flows in the Pokémon world because Dialga's heart beats. Meaning that if you do nothing to stop Dusknoir, Dialga DIES.
The whole situation with Haltmann reminds me of Dr. Fuji trying to resurrect his daughter Amber in Mewtwo's backstory
The Faust complex as I like to call it!
Porky's fate must be disturbing when he figures out he can't leave the torture like chamber he entered without know what is about to happen, then watches the outside after the years gone by when the earth is gone.
Giygas had one too. His own sheer power destroyed his mind
1:21 omg it's nikocado avocado
Nikado avocado fate predicted⁉️ 😱😱😱😱
Next they should do caseoh
HE LOOKS EXACTLY LIKE HIM WHAT
that aged poorly
Everyone here is talking about the horrible fates Susie, Taranza, Haltman and Sectonia faced.
No one here is talking about how Master Porky literally got himself trapped not realizing what just happened thinking that Lucas can't beat him anymore. At some point in the future (if he realizes) he will go insane and stop thinking.
and he'll be the only person to witness the sun blowing up and destroying earth
and living to tell the tale
...only to himself though
Porky and Haltmann’s fate was probably the worst. Consider the fact porky is stuck inside a capsule forever is very sad. And haltmann lost her daughter and his soul absorbed inside a machine is just the absolute worst, consider the fact that her daughter was with her all along
Porky got the Kars treatment. From Jjba, Basically Kars became the Ultimate Lifeform being able to never die and having the DNA of all living being, essentially becoming a god. He was then launched to space and froze to a rock, tho he was unable to die he simply stopped thinking
Couldn't Kars theoretically crash into a planet and get unfrozen?
@@galacticknight55544 Yes but thats just a What-If. Its definitely possible but the end of battle tendency implies that hes drifting in space for all eternity
@@robloxcool88 It was confirmed that Lysandre was immortal in Pokémon X. Even when the Pokémon world ends, he would still be alive in an empty void.
@@lucideirune1635 Kill What?
@@mohdadeeb1829 The ghost of a villain. After defeating the villain physically, you get a chance to kill the ghost for example, Princess Shroob when she possesses Bowser.
@@lucideirune1635 Kill is not the correct word here. Release is better word.
I was looking for this comment. Hope more people know about what actually happened.
Yeah if rundas had enough control to independently use his powers even for just a moment he would use them to attack dark Samus not commit suicide
The worse death in that game is actually your own, when Samus dies to corruption overload, dark Samus takes control, essentially allowing her to infect the entire universe with phazon as there is no one left uncorrupted to stop her
But in the end Porky got what he truly wanted...
Nintendo:Our game is for kids and adults everyone can play :)
Also Nintendo:Let's bring a fate worse than death
At least better put the box art rating not higher than PEGI 7...😅
5:07 that’s not actually ganon. It’s most likely a puppet made from the malice leaking from the real ganon (shown in the breath of the wild 2 announcement trailer).
Never thought I’d have a chance to “Um, actually,” the “Um, actually,” dude, but here we go: Calamity Ganon is not a puppet, but rather a manifestation of Ganondorf’s power leaking from the seal, becoming a completely separate entity with its own ‘mind’ (or lack there of).
@@MrAwesome_69 Okay. I also wanted to say again that it’s weird how many people didn’t (or maybe somehow still don’t) realize that it’s not ganon.
It went from someone jailed for eternity to a joke

@@minasthirith6314 good argument, but as a xenoblade obsessed teen, I refuse to budge
@@Kaisona2017 people can complain all they want about XC2, but they really know how to make an emotional story
Man I still really miss my father.😢
HELPPPP
Mr luggs is technically still doing what he wants, which is eating, and maybe he’s hiding because he’s hoarding all the food.
Same with mighty gazelle
I don't know why Kirby is so dark. I mean, Happy Tree Friend's joke is that is a cute show with tons of gore. I don't know why Kirby's joke is not that it's a cutesy franchise with deeply dark aspects; blood, death, disturbing imagery, body horror... We all know that, but Nintendo refuses to advertise it like that
2:50 this is possibly referencing Kirby Super Star/Kirby’s Fun Pak, because something similar happens with Marx and this boss looks like it.
Thx for the new video, you always put so much effort in em!
Saddest thing about Haltmann is that his daughter was right there working under him, and he never realized.
The terrifying and sad story Haltmann has is part of the pegi 3, children-focused game where you control a pink, round creature literally made of happiness in his adventures around the world
for kids!!!

Nobody's gonna talk about the fate of Pigma in StarFox? He's consumed by the Aparoids in Assault and then comes back as a rubix cube style boss in one of the side quests of Command. He deserves it, but still worse than death because he had his own will restored after the Aparoid queen was destroyed and he sought revenge after adjusting to his new form. Just to die, again.
But he died. So his fate can't be called worse than death.
@@galacticknight55544 If you don't choose that story path, he doesn't die by your hands and continues living as a cube.
Wow I never thought I could feel sorry for Ganondorf. Also I did NOT expect Wario's Friends to be on this list but it makes sense.
There is a data which is not used in the game but there you can see how the Absolutely Safe Capsule broke and Porky lies painful on the ground
i did not know that creepy sound effect was from a MARIO game
3:18
The audio playing is from Metroid prime 3 , Rundas’ theme is what plays when you fight him.
My favorite song I’ve heard in the Metroid series so far.
There was also the Darkrai in Poképark 2 that tried making a world of fun and had to sacrifice himself because the world collapsed in on itself.
You’re still able to save him, though; that’s the whole plot of the postgame.
You know, this might not in fact be the end of Porky. When you take multiverse theory into the equation, and consider how much time travelling Porky has done, he could’ve essentially become a living paradox, so there could be some variant of him out there, still scheming…
I wouldn’t say Ganon’s fate is worse than death.
Skyward Sword spoilers below:
At the end of Skyward Sword, he CHOSE to curse Link and Zelda so that all three of them incarnate. He wasn’t cursed, he cursed himself. It was a kamikaze of sorts, but he made the willing choice to do it.
Ganon did not curse himself Demise actually cursed him Link and Zelda
@@sarahquayyum8176 Demise is the first incarnation of Ganon.
Just because you choose something doesn’t mean you cannot later regret it and it goes from paradise to torture…
It’s like saying someone cursing themself to live forever isn’t that bad because they wanted it as if a million years later they don’t suffer because if it and regret it.
The title of this video is something a Mortal Kombat character, such as Raiden, would say.
Poor Rundas, man. I know there are obviously worse deaths out there, but it might be the most iconic Metroid Prime moment these days, and for good reason.
Metroid is the series where Nintendo doesn't hold back, and it shows in specific moments like that.
3:16 actually... he was deleted with only the traces of memories of him
So Haltmann's alive?
HAL, we have a problem
Porky being trapped forever in the Absolutely Safe Capsule is very horrifying to think of, being trapped in a small confined space until the end of time.
I feel glad that you jokingly put working for Wario as the worst fate of all, that helped lighten the mood.
Haltmann death is a non-canon because this ending is part of the True Arena Mode however was epic. This title became one of my favorites Kirby games.
You just don't see the inside of the battle in the normal mode. I doubt he's alive
Im pretty sure its canonical, in star allies Susie ends up taking over the company and starts helping people with the mechas (there is an error in the English translation in that it says she instead takes over and continues her fathers work of mechanizing the galaxy)
it's just a phase in more, star dream die in the normal story so haltmann too.
In Kirby star allies, there's descriptions for everyone of why they are fighting with kirby. With Susie, it says after her father's death, she took over his business.
yeah umm, do i just have news for you bud
