For people curious, the convergence mod is in dark souls 3 as well, convergence mod focuses on different types of spells for a bunch of subclasses they made. Even for the melee focused builds they have physical spells, and armor often gives bonuses that are thematically assigned. Highly recommend playing convergence in ds3 as it completely revamps the game and all progression.
Unfortunately, it isn't getting updated to deal with the random DS3 minor update a few months back. Can still be done using old versions, but no online.

@@definitelynotaduck You can do online using private servers. It's a bit of a hastle but not too bad.

nice, I've been grinding this mod for the past few weeks. It obviously still has some balancing issues since its an alpha but its like rediscovering elden ring once again
I’ve only been playing for a few days but it’s already so fun, I love the changes to different styles and sects
What would you consider the best „spell“ class?

@@baslerb1091 I’d say bloodflame. It’s ridiculous.
@@baslerb1091Ive done holy (black flame) and a bleed build and they are both strong but lightning is equally good if not better and much more fun. If you go with a lightning build make sure you grab the dragon communion seal from the capital as it boosts lightning incanations heavily. I also reccomend grabbing the dragon kings cragblade after beating placidusax its insanely OP with a lightning build.
I think we’d all enjoy it if you uploaded every run you do. I can’t be the only one that would like to see all the different builds.

The team behind this mod are really good at what they do. They have speed runners, no hitters, casuals and long term souls fans working together to make expansion level mods. DS3 convergence is also amazing
I simply cannot believe it got to witness the illegal bombing of Leyndell. I look forward to going to Denmark to see Gino’s trial in The Hague

Im glad this mod does the Dragon Greatclaw justice. I tried doing a run with it but the Greatclaw in base ER is just so... average. Its not even bad enough to be a challenge. Its *just* average
I have been seeing so much of this stuff in the Shorts and it had me stoked entirely for when the playthrough would be released.
I cannot wait to see you explore through this in other playthroughs and do no-hits. This mod is absolutely insane!
The fact they but deathbed smalls is honestly what puts this mod into S tier
That tree sentinel weapon move set reminded me a lot of monster hunter hammers
DEFINATELY do no hit runs of this mod using all the different schools. It would be a real treat to have some more variety and different routes!
The Fire Prelate moveset is virtually unchanged. He just shoots long range fireballs a little less often
it's a disgrace elden ring has so many repeated bosses yet didn't use one prelate

1st run I got Godskin Duo as margit and on the second run I got Valliant Gargoyles as margit aswell :D

Deathblight made the run so fun. They nailed all the spells of the class.
Can I ask whay deathblight does? I figured it was a instant death for players, when I played necromancer on convergence the death blight didn't seem to do much
@@Tangerator well I am really late but deathblight lowers the resistances of enemies, both damage and status effects

That was fun to watch :D I'm currently doing an Ancient Lightning build in the main game as an option for when the DLC comes out :3
The key stones make a ton of sense too. It protects the forge against outsiders or a coup. It would make sense to be done by Marika or Radagon to protect the Erdtree.
Mods make some games so much better. Having done everything in the game this’ll make it fun again
I kinda like how the attacks are sped up, it gives more of a real time combat feel and I love it❣️

i played the convergence mod after watching this choose the snow witch class and after some weak early game sht i got ice storm of zamor basically a vortex of ice storm that hits target multiple times so fast and staggers *HUMAN* build enemies completed ranni's quest to access final spells , got moon greatsword and went straight to malenia beat her first try with ice of zamor chain cc and moonlight r2 to break posture critical and repeat same with second phase
if u miss time the chain of ice of zamor and she starts waterfowl she won't stop
That freaking ire god spell is ridiculous. An actual nuclear warhead xd please do more with this mod!

I recommend trying out regular monk/giant fire, the endgame fire spells are absolutely nuts. You get an orbital missile strike
the lightning nuke looks so fun
The mod team decided that the reward for beating Placi should be to give Elden Ring an easy mode button lmao

Not only did they redeem Bols since I guess he’s in Raya Lucaria now, but they also put a dog in jail.
That aside I really enjoy how this mod makes an effort to fit itself into the original lore

i love this mod. melee is so overpowered its unreal. you can just tank through every single boss. i stood still during godfrey/hoarah loux and didnt even come close to dying.
Does the mod make the game easy? It looks cool but I play this game cause it’s very hard generally, so if it makes jt incredibly easy that seems like a bore except for the visual spectacle and power trip
@@KhaosDCrab nah, i did another run with spells and it wasnt nearly as easy. if you get a good setup, towards the end its not that bad, but its still a challenge with some bosses

That was mad. I had started the archer class and realized it wasn't really doing what I wanted, then stupidly did a bonk build. I need to go to a proper caster to see it shine.

The dragon claw AOW should be the sweep move the sentinel uses that makes a wave of ancient lightning on the ground. Easy

At this point I am just commenting to help the RUclips algorithm because I want to see more convergence mod content
Honestly when I got the ruins greatsword in the base game then afterward got the dragon claw great hammer, I half expected it to have a cool fully charged lightning based heavy much like it is in this mod but maybe scaled down in AoE size but was sorely disappointed.
Granssax Spear is located at the same spot it is in Vanilla and I tell you it won´t hit under 10k with the Ash of War. Used it for my playthrough and it was a monster. The Ash of war power goes up through the lightning heirlooms, warriors shard, Physics Mix, Vykes thunder spear Buff and Lightning Weapon Buff. Godfrey´s Icon would be sufficent as well. The Dmg is out of this world. Combine it with Ire of the Dragon God and Every Boss kneels before you before turning into DUST xD
