Very interesting.... he had that belt buckle all the way back in '96! I just assumed that when they took a left turn with the songwriting, Mikael felt compelled to don a more appropriate look from the era he was drawing inspiration from - 'cause let's be honest.. that looks like something Morrison or Hendrix woulda worn. But no... there it is. Neat piece of a puzzle in place. For me at least.

this was so amazing thank you so much....awesome to see them in 1996 when they started out.......I don't know what the idiot below me is talking about, Opeth is still an awesome back - Mikael is a genius. I have seen them 5 + times and will be seeing a special show in NYC in April. If you come across anymore please post away!!

@Paulo969 Well, as you said, is just a matter of different opinions BUT, if you assume that today they're making just "uttery soulless" music, well I can't say the same 'cause artist have to evolve and of course I really like MAYH and still life, both albums are fucking kick ass, but so much alike speaking in composition, and if you want only both albums over and over it would be really boring and tedious. Also I miss alot Martin Lopez.
