I have wanted to learn to reload but have no experts close by to draw experience from. Your video has taken the “ mystery” out of the general process and I feel confident in that I can do this. Thank you for the well made video...
out of all the books and videos. I think your baic aproach and direct instructions has converted me to start hand-loading myself. I love the single press method, And your instructions need to be in book format. Im sure down the road Id have 100 questions, but for our 40sw xdm and 45 glock, and soon to be a 45 xd. You made this ol boy real happy. THANK YOU FOR THE TIME YOU MADE AND SHARED IN YOUR VIDEO.
lol, the beginning is exactly what I do at my club... the best is when I see someone shooting a caliber I want, and they leave a nice fresh pile. Music to my eyes!
just bought the hornady lnl classic kit, got my table cut n drilled, all set up, and up to that day i watched this video nonstop, getting more n more excited. thank you for making this! so efficient and informative.
Thanks for this video! You are the reason I got into reloading in 2013 and I’m sitting in my garage reloading 45ACP listening to the video once again 7 years later.
My favorite dies are my Hornady dies but being I do not want to replace my Lee and rcbs dies since I already have them, I bought a 6 pack of Hornady lock rings to replace the rings that came on my Lee and rcbs dies and now I don't have to adjust my dies every time I switch them. $20 had saved me a ton of time of readjusting my dies. Good videos!
I'm watching your video 9 years later I just have to say you are an inspiration man you should keep teaching reloading your a good teacher I agree with you about factorie ammo I like that like c press too I use for all kinds of things
I am just getting into this hobby. My father in law is a walking encyclopedia on this stuff. Way back when we first met we were in his wood shop and I saw six 5 gallon buckets overflowing of tire weights. That's when I learned about all this. Can't "weight" to get involved. He has dies for about 12 or so different calibers. Thanks for the vids!
You're absolutely welcome! I'm glad to have been able to shed some light on the reloading experience for you. Thank you for supporting my channel and also for the kind words! Have a great evening! :)
Thank you for sharing your knowledge and wisdom. I really appreciate the detailed explanations, it's much easier to learn when you're taught how and why rather than just a how to.
I just finished watching your reloading guides(melting lead to ingots, casting the bullets and reloading them). Thank you so much for explaining every little detail of the procedure. Although I do not know if I will ever get as far as casting my own bullets, I learned so much that I feel like you gave me great head start into reloading. Again, I thank you so much for these videos.
I thoroughly enjoyed your video/tips....I have 1000 .45 ACP already primed, now I need to do the flare, powder, seat, and crimp....scary when you never have done it before...and it's for a friend/MM Brother of mine! I'll get it right, now that I've seen your video and Thank You for serving our Country!
Buddy, I really like how you explain all the little details of your work! You don't assume the viewers know everything and you give reasons why you do or don't do something, instead of just blowing thru the process just to get to the end result. I'm just a few pieces of equipment away from reloading myself, and your .45ACP and 30-30 videos are going to be a tremendous help (those are the 2 calibers I'll be loading 1st) when I'm ready to rock & roll! Thank you!
hey man, absolutely great video. My buddy is getting into reloading and he's planning on having me over a lot to help him while we watch TV. You explained everything so simply and slowly, and it was very easy for me to follow. Thanks!
I could watch you teach this subject all day long! The information is taught in a manner which is accurate and easy to use. Great way to learn how to do this for levels of experience.
Hello! Alot of people use Hornady one shot cleaner to clean them. I took mine apart and washed it in the sink with some dish soap. It worked great for me and I've never had a problem. Thanks for the support! Have a great day! :)
Thank you! I think this is the only reloading video that I have where I didn't trim. I don't trim my .45 brass that often. My bullets fire and feed just fine. I had the same problem that you mentioned before. I trimmed my brass and it didn't change anything. I seated my bullets a little deeper and it fixed the problem for me. Have a good day! :)
There’s 4 pistol bays side by side at my outdoor range. I used to love it when people would pull up and shoot for 20-30 mins and leave. I would walk over there once they left, and pickup all the .45 brass they left. It’s crazy. You’re leaving money on the ground
Thank you for the kind words and also for the support you give my channel. I also appreciate the info on the dust. I had no idea! have a good night. :)
I've watched your casting video too and now feel some confidence that I may be able cast and reload without injuring myself. I'm 77 so can spend time being patient;-) Thanks for the good work.
Thanks for taking the time to make this video. It really cleared things up for me. Now when I read the instructions again I'll know exactly what they're talking about. Really nice video.
Watched the whole series from extracting lead to final bullets. A ton of knowledge, thank you. Alos realized how much work that is to reload bullets. I guess one really needs to like this.
Thank you for the kind words! I also appreciate the support that you give my channel. I'm also thankful that you thanked me for my service. I'd go back in a heartbeat if I was needed. When it comes to .45 cal lead cast bullets, I'd reccomend using .451. in fact, thats what I use in my 1911. I hope this info was helpful. Have a good day! :)
0:27 to 4:30 is pure ASMR. Super chill. Could listen to it all day. XD Also appreciate the level of care and patience that goes into the the hobby of "bang".
Thanks for this video, my wife and I shoot 300-500 rounds a week, and reloading seems to be the next logical step. This video has a lot of great information that I will reference in the future when I get my press.
Thank you for the support and kind words. These bullets work just fine for me in my Springfield 1911. When I reload them I make my OAL just a bit shorter than what the manuel says. They feed good this way. Have a good day! :)
Out of all the reloading videos I've watched, I enjoy yours the most. I like how you start from collecting the brass to the final crimping stage and case check. The way you presented the video makes it very easy to understand. I just started ordering my reload equipment and can't wait to start reloading. Watching your videos gave me more confidence. Please continue making these videos in different calibers and keep up the good work.
Thanks for the video! I am just getting familiar with the reloading process and have found your videos very informative! And I hope you'll forgive me for being pedantic enough to point out that with the case lube, the alcohol is not a propellant. It's a dispersant. It makes the oil thin enough to be sprayed through the nozzle of the bottle, and allows the oil to flow a little more freely so that it coats the brass before the alcohol evaporates! 🤘🙏🏼
Skeeter as always the BEST VIDEO's on the net! Just ordered the dies for .45 acp you gave me a great idea for getting free brass! Lots of outdoor ranges around various farms!
You make a good point of checking the primer pockets. I have a bunch of 45ACP brass that I just assumed took a large primer. Now I'm going to have to look at them again. I really enjoyed your video. Keep up the good work.
It's a Lee Reloader Single Stage Press. I got it on Midway for around $30. It works great if you're a patient person. Don't forget to get your vote into my 100 FREE bullets contest. It ends March 1st. All you have to do is subscribe to my channel, then go to that video and leave a comment guessing how many bullets are in the jar! Thanks for watching and have a great day! :)
The range we use requires that we pick up our brass. I must have a couple of thousand rounds in two of those five gallon buckets. Tried to sell them on the marketplace and ebay but no takers. So now I know what to do with 'em. My better half will be upset with the initial expense of the reloading hardware but will be delighted at at the savings over box ammo. Several years ago I was reloading 12 gauge but sold those as it got to be a chore to shoot skeet. .45 is is ever so much more precise and she has a blast shooting her GI 1911. Am going to show her this video and maybe get two of these presses so she can do the resizing while I do the expanding. Now that we are both retired, this will be a great couple bonding time. Along with the range and wild shooting. Thanks ever so much for this multifaceted video!
Thank you! I appreciate your support to my channel and the kind words. Sometimes I feel that my video's are a bit on the long side. I'm trying to change that by going a little faster. I don't want to skip anything though. Have a great evening! :)
Nice vid man. I have been reloading for a couple of years now and just stumbled on your vid as I search for reloading vids every now and then to get new ideas, see how other people reload and for research in general. Well made video and great explanations for a beginner/intermediate re-loader. Keep it up!
Outstanding! Extremely well done and informative. Just bought my first reloader and armed with your knowledge as a base, will read the instruction manual and start making my own!
Thank you so much for the support to my channel and the kind words! On the 30-30 I have one recommendation, make sure you trim your brass. The 30-30 brass is slightly thinner than other brass and it stretches a little more. Have fun! :)
thank you for the kind words and support you give my channel. I'd love to do more reloading and I will again, but I can't right now because I moved to a smaller house and all my reloading stuff is in storage. have a beautiful day!
Very good illustration on how to reload. You were very through and explanatory in the process of reload in your reloading methodology. Keep up the good work! One thing to add is cleaning the brass. This extends considerable life to the dies as well as the brass. It also makes for a more desirable finished product in my estimation.
You can use that powder for jackated 180, 200, and 230 grain .45acp loads. You can also use it for 155, 170, 185, 200, and 230 lead cast .45 acp bullets. I found the data on their website. I hope this was helpful. have a good evening! :)
It’s near the end of 2020, I discovered your channel today, and have watched three of your reloading videos(9mm, 7mm, and this one). I bought a reloading setup from a guy who is retiring, and can not wait to get into reloading some of this stuff
Second video I have watched you reloading and like the first one, very informative. Watched the 9mm and now the 45 ACP, the 2 rounds I shoot on handguns. Thanks
Received a Lee Anniversary Reloading Kit for Christmas this year. Will begin reloading 45 ACP and this video was exceptionally well thought out, clear, and nicely paced. Good work! Thanks and have a great New Year.
Thank you for the kind words and for the support to my channel! In my opinion, All straight walled handgun ammo need to be crimped. I say this because unlike bottle neck rifle calibers, pistols need to have the case mouths expanded to accept a bullet. Then, they need to be crimped to remove the case mouth expansion to put the case back down so it can be chambered easily. When I cast lead bullets, I size them to whatever caliber I'm going to load.Theyre not any bigger than a JHP or FMJ.
.. straight walled cases with a rim are roll crimped ,, without a rim ,, such as the .45 acp needs to be taper crimped to I.D. barrel chamber ...they headspace on the brass lip ..... Jacketed projectiles are .451 .... lead projectiles are .452 .....
Enjoyed this 45acp reload vid. Got me a new Rock Island 1911 FS Ai in 45acp. 4 die set on hand along wirh Power Pistol powder. My order of 45 bullets should be here tue morn. 150 brass cleaned and primed, ready for bullets. This will be my first 45acp reloads. my receipe is: 230 gr fmj/berry's, 6.5 gr power pistol for around 850 fps. Can't hardly wait to load and shoot.
I really enjoyed the video. I think you helped me make my decision to purchase a single stage press to begin my reloading. It was especially useful that you were reloading .45 acp as that is exactly what I will be starting out with and then moviing to 9mm and then .223/5.56. Thanks again.
Thank you for you expertise -very nice video for a person like me that is just getting started with reloading. Thanks for sharing , I really enjoyed it!
Love this video! I will be reloading my first batch of freedom pills soon and it will be .45ACP for my 1911. Also getting into bullet casting and Hi-Tek coating. You are a great teacher and I appreciate your contribution to reloading.
Another great video, I like how you go through and demonstrate each step with the dies and explain how the dies work. I'll be reloading some 45 acp with 230 grain bullet with 3.9 grain of Red dot this weekend. Thanks
Thank you for making this video. Just getting into the idea of reloading and watching you do this was a great introduction! Now I understand the pro's and con's of single stage presses vs progressive.presses. Thank you again for posting your video!
Another thing to think about is that most bullet seating dies can also be used to crimp. Feel free to check out my video on how to adjust your pistol dies. I show how to do that. Have a good day! :)
Thank you for the great video. I wish I had found it a few months ago. I have watched many many videos to get the same information. This video is clear and complete. I just started reloading with a Rock Chucker press and Lee dies for .44 magnum. I've only made a few hundred rounds, but so far, its going great.
This is the only channel I send people to for reloading. Thanks for taking the time to share your expertise Jits
Thank you! That means a lot to me. :-)
I wish schools would teach math and science the way this guy teaches reloading.
gvic vic Thank you
I have wanted to learn to reload but have no experts close by to draw experience from. Your video has taken the “ mystery” out of the general process and I feel confident in that I can do this. Thank you for the well made video...
i feel like I just took a course in realoading, your vids are very informative thank you
Thank you! The rockchucker is a great press. I love lee dies too! Thank you for the kind words and support you give my channel! Have a great day! :)
Thanks for the video. Very careful, methodical, and complete. Three years old and still lots of folks watching.
+SouthernMan thank you!

Good videos!
I love the opening. VERY Familiar sights and sounds. I think I spent more time collecting brass at the range than I did shooting.
Excellent step by step video, I reloaded my first 50 .45 acp cartridges watching this video. Keep up the good work. Thank you.
Thank you! That's awesome!
I'm watching your video 9 years later I just have to say you are an inspiration man you should keep teaching reloading your a good teacher I agree with you about factorie ammo I like that like c press too I use for all kinds of things

I'am a very old loader. Started about 1957. Great presentation. I learned some new things. Many thanks.
Wow! My mother was born in 57'... I'm humbled! Thank you for the kind words and support you give my channel!
I've only used the old style Lee Loader for my loading. Seriously considered getting a press like this. Nicely done, well presented.
Huge thank you for this video as well as all your other loading videos. This week I loaded my first batch of 45 acp Thank you!!
Rock on!
Awesome step by step tutorial!!! ... every beginner should watch this video before any other. Thank you!

JIUJITSU2000 You are very welcome. We should thank you for your hard work and contribute wot the reloading community.
I've watched your casting video too and now feel some confidence that I may be able cast and reload without injuring myself. I'm 77 so can spend time being patient;-) Thanks for the good work.

Watched the whole series from extracting lead to final bullets. A ton of knowledge, thank you.
Alos realized how much work that is to reload bullets. I guess one really needs to like this.
I always wondered how bullets were made, you sir just showed me a series of videos from scratch. Nicely done!!!

Thanks for this video, my wife and I shoot 300-500 rounds a week, and reloading seems to be the next logical step. This video has a lot of great information that I will reference in the future when I get my press.
thank you!
This video got me into reloading. I will be purchasing some equipment and items. Thank you! Looks fun
Thank you for the support and kind words. These bullets work just fine for me in my Springfield 1911. When I reload them I make my OAL just a bit shorter than what the manuel says. They feed good this way. Have a good day! :)

I love hunting for brass. It's like finding money. Keep up the great videos!
Sweet! Thanks for the support and kind words. Have a good day! :)
One of the best reloading video's I have seen, well done.
Thanks for the video! I am just getting familiar with the reloading process and have found your videos very informative! Great video. The camera angle and step-by-step guide was very helpful. Thanks!

Really liked this video! Very informative. Gonna help me get started reloading 45 ACP
Thanks for posting !
You make a good point of checking the primer pockets. I have a bunch of 45ACP brass that I just assumed took a large primer. Now I'm going to have to look at them again. I really enjoyed your video. Keep up the good work.
Always enjoy your vids as a new reloader yours are the best explained for me. Thanks Again for all the help
You're absolutely welcome my friend and Thank you!

Appreciate the education on the reloading process & sharing some personal insight.
Thank you very much for a very informative video. I really liked the detailed walk-through on the different steps of reloading.
Exactly! It's not how much it costs. Thanks for the support. Have a good day! :)
It’s near the end of 2020, I discovered your channel today, and have watched three of your reloading videos(9mm, 7mm, and this one). I bought a reloading setup from a guy who is retiring, and can not wait to get into reloading some of this stuff
Great job like always. I've seen your other videos on 223, 3006 and now this. All equally great. Very informative. keep them coming. great job....
We started with the Lee hand press, full length sizing was not fun with 30-06. Finally upgraded to a Lee Challenger. Great video
Thank you

Really enjoyed your presentation. Will save it as a bookmark to review again..GOOD JOB!!!!
Thank you! :-)
Very informative video. I liked the detail that was given and the close-up pictures.
+Clayton Hay thank you so much for the very kind words and positive support that you give my channel
I really enjoyed the video. I think you helped me make my decision to purchase a single stage press to begin my reloading. It was especially useful that you were reloading .45 acp as that is exactly what I will be starting out with and then moviing to 9mm and then .223/5.56. Thanks again.
I just got my Frankford Arsenal tumbler kit in and set up, its great, buy man, that Lyman tumbler you have is BEAST!!
these hour long vids are well worth it- you are the man! thank you
Thank you for you expertise -very nice video for a person like me that is just getting started with reloading. Thanks for sharing , I really enjoyed it!
Thank you!
Love this video! I will be reloading my first batch of freedom pills soon and it will be .45ACP for my 1911. Also getting into bullet casting and Hi-Tek coating. You are a great teacher and I appreciate your contribution to reloading.
Another great video, I like how you go through and demonstrate each step with
the dies and explain how the dies work.
I'll be reloading some 45 acp with 230 grain bullet with 3.9 grain of Red dot
this weekend.
Thanks
thank you!!
You have done a very good job very thorough. It will be very hard to top your work. Thank you!!
Thank you for the video. It's straight forward and shows how easy it is to start.
You're absolutely welcome and thank you for stopping by!
Great breakdown on the steps, really helpful to see. Will be getting into it this fall/winter.
Thank you for the video. The best I have seen, very clear and to the point.
Thank you for making this video. Just getting into the idea of reloading and watching you do this was a great introduction! Now I understand the pro's and con's of single stage presses vs progressive.presses. Thank you again for posting your video!
Your video gave me the courage to roll my own .45 acp. Thanks! I've never looked back since. Next stop are .308 and .223 reloads.
Thank you for taking the time to stop by and share your kind words as well as there support you give my channel. Have a beautiful day!
Another thing to think about is that most bullet seating dies can also be used to crimp. Feel free to check out my video on how to adjust your pistol dies. I show how to do that. Have a good day! :)
I think you're exactly right about seating debpth. I do the same thing. My .45 feed better than ever shorter. Have a good evening! :)
Excellent video. Thank you for explaining this process so clearly.
Thank you!
Thank you for this video, I've watched it countless times!!
Thank you for the great video. I wish I had found it a few months ago. I have watched many many videos to get the same information. This video is clear and complete. I just started reloading with a Rock Chucker press and Lee dies for .44 magnum. I've only made a few hundred rounds, but so far, its going great.
Thank you! Good to hear. The Rock chucker is a very solid press! :-)
