I’m not going to lie, this channel feels different now that jak’s gone. Don’t get me wrong- it’s a good thing he’s not there anymore. However, he really did play a key role in the channel’s feel: he was the human one can connect to watching the video. It feels more personal, it feels like *his* channel, and now that he’s been replaced with a disembodied voice, I don’t feel that same connection. There's a little more to the story. With the release of Microsoft Bob, Microsoft created the Microsoft Agent, or at least a primitive version of it, called Microsoft Actor. Office Assistant in Office 97, and Microsoft Agent was built off this code. Microsoft Agent replaced the original Microsoft Bob code in Office 2000, but it was a modified version that didn't include speech synthesis or recognition. It also didn't include any of the characters, thus we got Clippit, or Clippy.
I like Jordan's narration, but Jak's was on another level. All the drama and all, his voice was really subconciously mesmerizing. You should get a narrator, someone that has a great voice for this kind of stuff, and go in the steps of Kurzgesagt, having a signature voice for all the videos, no offense to Jordan, just something that would get some weight off your back.
being completely honest, I know jack was kind of a loser for trying to pay off his debt and keeping everyone in the dark about everything, but I liked his voice a lot and felt like it added a lot to this hacker/virus series. sucks that things had to happen this way and I understand why he had to be booted, but this series definitely wont be the same for me.
After watching this I've realized how stale Jack's virus videos had gotten. It's a breath of fresh air to see these be taken in a new direction, one where it's still the same vibe but it doesn't take itself too seriously.
gotta agree. he was more focused on fancy animations and putting himself on screen with the same general tone of voice thru the whole video, every video. this video is fresh And fun to look at :)
After reading up on everything, and watching the vids, I'm glad you're pushing back against this shitty situation. Jak toke y'all for a ride, and your quality is still amazing. I hope y'all don't get too much backlash going forward.
This video is unclear and confusing to understand, this doesn't look too good for disrupt in my opinion I hate that the drama with jak had to happen, and for those who don't know - jak (the founder of disrupt) essentially decided to scam his viewers to pay off his debt to buy out the co-founder because of creative differences. Jak was a really good voice for disrupt, despite him being an all-out scammer, I hope the team at disrupt finds a good alternative for that voice Hope you guys succeed!

so what happened?
“Nice to meet you, Expand Dong!” BonziBUDDY 2014
It's *magic* Joel, it's *magic.*
@@pillboys the new guy is literally just impersonating jak
I super love this "virus" series by distrupt it always fascinates me
I wouldn't mind having Jak just a a narrator. Love his voice.
After reading up on everything, and watching the vids, I'm glad you're pushing back against this shitty situation. Jak toke y'all for a ride, and your quality is still amazing. I hope y'all don't get too much backlash going forward.
This video is unclear and confusing to understand, this doesn't look too good for disrupt in my opinion
I hate that the drama with jak had to happen, and for those who don't know - jak (the founder of disrupt) essentially decided to scam his viewers to pay off his debt to buy out the co-founder because of creative differences.
Jak was a really good voice for disrupt, despite him being an all-out scammer, I hope the team at disrupt finds a good alternative for that voice
Hope you guys succeed!
skill issue
@@lucki_iscool317 you're probably more useless than those "5G harmonizers"
I just love your videos , they are so resourceful and the editing is always on point.
Imagine if BonziBuddy was made now, with the level of AI that we have. Scary.
Well... Technically google assistant and others lol
Bonzi buddy was so ahead of its time. Now this kind of behaviour is now the norm for apps
Just a tip, i would try to find better narrators when you get to that point. You did great but just don't undervalue how important a strong narrator is.
i like the new good vibes of disrupt been missing this from a long time
