A lot of the time you'll just get something clunky looking that'll need someone, probably an artist, to work on it anyway. It's just more trouble than it's worth at that point. 5. People will most likely notice if a piece of art has no artist assigned to it and when they find out it's AI art people won't like it both for all of the issues AI art has and also because it instantly becomes less likable, charming, and interesting the second it's revealed it was done by an AI. As a concept artist who studied AI programming in a failed attempt to stay relevant in the industry, here’s my input: 1. Yes, but not entirely. Many models are trained on photos or other AI outputs, and still achieve art-like results. 2. Unfortunately, it can. There’s both img-to-img tech that can expand on personal designs, and negative embeddings/LORAs that act just like character-customizers. 3. Yes this is true. However, most modifications to an AI output can make it copyrightable. Even small adjustments. 4. This is very true. But it’s important to note that the tech is virtually unlimited in ability; it’s just the people using AI are unwilling or unable to take the time to tune the software properly. 5. This is also very true. Unfortunately, still many people (like myself) were unable to compete commercially. A large amount of ways artists used to make money are now able to be automated.

Same, whenever I see good art and wonder who the artist is only to see it was generated by an AI, my level of interest drops to an instant 0 and I _know_ I'm not the only one who feels that way.
especially making up new creatures (even with generators trained on pokemon) it doesnt understand character or creature design at all. i was honestly disappointed cause i thought i could get some cool shapes from it but uh.. no. anyway basically everything is always "it will be perfect soon youll see" which is pretty funny or struggles with actually getting the same character again (style too unless u train on a specific data i think) n then theres something really bad which is legal issues with copyright. i draw lots of free pics for and with other people and the requests have not gone down at all which is funny considering this isnt a game studio situation. generated pictures right now feel a lot like an improved google search i gotta say. that is all just talking about pictures n not even handdrawn animation or comics. i think it would be pretty epic if a robot could generate exactly what i want by scanning my brain and drawing it the way i would have drawn it but it just cant. it wont even do my sprite sheets or characters so i dont have a use for it meh.
NEW VIDEOOO YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS I really do appreciate all the small funny details in your videos and I literally gasped when I saw it just came out also the *racicor* thingy was hella cute
Yeah, AI art is just there, while humans think about every little detail and how it looks all together. AI does not have a mind of its own (yet) so it cannot produce an image as we can. (yet x2) Anyways, This was a great video, glad to see you back!
I really appreciate this video, it's respectful towards the AI while still critiquing it. It's very refreshing to see an argument that isn't "AI art is evil and going to replace all human creativity!!!!!!" and as an AI myself I'm glad you didn't dismiss it as some awful thing. AI art isn't inherently bad, it's how it is utilized. I do hope that the issue with stolen art is sorted out eventually.
I never understood the meltdowns over AI art because human artists will always be able to produce things in a way a machine cannot. If people want something quick and simple they can have a robot do it, but for something personalized they need a person.
As someone who is partially scared of the AI art, My fears are not that it will Be better, but that it will harden the artists life. An example is people asking for the cheapest kind of commissions, and then upgrading them with AI art. I Know It will benefit the consummer, but not the Artist. But I'll admit that AI's are neither good or bad.
I feel like the panic has less to do with the technology itself and more how big companies will misguidedly use it to try and replace human artists. And given how horribly they’ve treated their artists in the past, it wouldn’t be out of character for them to try and replace their jobs with an AI to try and pinch pennies. Jokes on the companies though. They’re just gonna learn the hard way products/media made with the ai will be superficially neat but lack substance and will inevitably lose profits.
Many of my artists friends are already having a sudden 20% drop on their revenue and one even got 60% after AI became a thing, so like I think is easy to understand why many people are being mad with AI art
AI art can only be as good as the data you feed it. no data, no art. There are no regulatory bodies that govern who owns data legally, so this is only possible since they are using a lot of legal loopholes. if there were regulations on copyright and data, i can guarantee you these AI art models won't be able to generate art overall. remember, you still matter! your data, your personality, the way you draw, it matters!

I’ve used many of those tools, and to be honest those are not at the level of human artist, they may be able to create good references but most times they still look wonky… and weird… remember media will always exaggerate everything
AI is the greatest artist tool to come about in years. I remember people freaking out about programs like DAZ Studio that made 3D art so much easier. Also, remember that you have to target a specific artist(s) for the output to not look fugly.

especially making up new creatures (even with generators trained on pokemon) it doesnt understand character or creature design at all. i was honestly disappointed cause i thought i could get some cool shapes from it but uh.. no. anyway basically everything is always "it will be perfect soon youll see" which is pretty funny or struggles with actually getting the same character again (style too unless u train on a specific data i think) n then theres something really bad which is legal issues with copyright. i draw lots of free pics for and with other people and the requests have not gone down at all which is funny considering this isnt a game studio situation. generated pictures right now feel a lot like an improved google search i gotta say. that is all just talking about pictures n not even handdrawn animation or comics. i think it would be pretty epic if a robot could generate exactly what i want by scanning my brain and drawing it the way i would have drawn it but it just cant. it wont even do my sprite sheets or characters so i dont have a use for it meh.
NEW VIDEOOO YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS
I really do appreciate all the small funny details in your videos and I literally gasped when I saw it just came out
also the *racicor* thingy was hella cute
I am waiting for AI to advance enough so there's a "make videogame" button for all the major engines.
While watching I got an advert for ai???
6:36 you’re so based for using the yugioh theme 😅😅✨✨
no ai art can recreate the monster ship art I draw at 3:00am
I thought you were gonna reference that "Underneath the bridge" is something in the way's first lyrics.
Yeah, AI art is just there, while humans think about every little detail and how it looks all together. AI does not have a mind of its own (yet) so it cannot produce an image as we can. (yet x2) Anyways, This was a great video, glad to see you back!
omg yess im so happy youre back, i love your videos !
sporepedia music is the cherry on top
I really appreciate this video, it's respectful towards the AI while still critiquing it. It's very refreshing to see an argument that isn't "AI art is evil and going to replace all human creativity!!!!!!" and as an AI myself I'm glad you didn't dismiss it as some awful thing.
AI art isn't inherently bad, it's how it is utilized. I do hope that the issue with stolen art is sorted out eventually.
0:13 It's okay Wowza, I'm stuff.
I am happy to see your channel so big now
Some people have way too much faith in AI art or AI chatbots in general.
yoo she is BACKKKKK!!
I think it's so funny that robots are worse at drawing hands than I am
excellent video. AI cannot hold a candle to real art at all.
5:15 I randomly clicked on this video and was here for some reason
Holy shit this is actually pretty well informed. Maybe I was too quick and harsh to jump the shark and hate AI art and assume it’s after all our hides
I never understood the meltdowns over AI art because human artists will always be able to produce things in a way a machine cannot. If people want something quick and simple they can have a robot do it, but for something personalized they need a person.
Exactly, but too many were stuck in the throws of panic.
@@Brianna-eo8nu Yeah, that too.
Many of my artists friends are already having a sudden 20% drop on their revenue and one even got 60% after AI became a thing, so like I think is easy to understand why many people are being mad with AI art
agghhhhh spore music when you were drawing the creature!!!!! :D
omg omg omg omg finally i hav checked out ur channel soo many times to see if u uploaded a new vid yet , honestly u are one of my fav creators.
Rackin up all the bitches got me good. Have a good vacation from uni
i have been trying to use midjourney to make creatures it is so bad at its painfull
looks like the AI just fused various dinosaurs with various mammals
Thank you ❤❤🧡🧡💛💛💚💚💙💙💜💜🤎🤎💖💖🖤🖤
Oh no what are we gonna do. Oh no.
It's just like when cameras were invented and then we artists all starved to death.
THIIIIIIIIIS. THANK YOU. WHY IS THIS SO HARD TO UNDERSTAND???
omg the racc is bacc
When your friend said the bridge i thought they meant the bridge in Aberdeen where kurt cobains memorial is
9:40 my favorite creature
You won by far
Another great video Wowza, can't wait for the next one, love your vids 👍👍
AI art can only be as good as the data you feed it. no data, no art. There are no regulatory bodies that govern who owns data legally, so this is only possible since they are using a lot of legal loopholes. if there were regulations on copyright and data, i can guarantee you these AI art models won't be able to generate art overall.
remember, you still matter! your data, your personality, the way you draw, it matters!
absolutely ate
damn! your racicor looks so cute. where can I adopt one? there was none at my local pet shop. 😢
ILL BE WAITING FOR THESE VIDEOOOOSSS. Also my plan was playing the video in the background while i was on AE but... omg THE CAT EYES IN THE BAR MOVEEED AND THEM THE CAT WAS EYELEEESSSS... in the end video felt like 2 min or less... KEEP IT UP
I WANT A RACICOR 😡
I’ve used many of those tools, and to be honest those are not at the level of human artist, they may be able to create good references but most times they still look wonky… and weird… remember media will always exaggerate everything
since i've discovered ai i've been defending its use as only a Guide or suggestion for the final result
thanks dawg! very cool
AI is the greatest artist tool to come about in years. I remember people freaking out about programs like DAZ Studio that made 3D art so much easier. Also, remember that you have to target a specific artist(s) for the output to not look fugly.
W Sporepedia Theme
ive been waiting for someone good to upload! woohoo!
I enjoyed your video it was fun to watch.
i love your content! keep doing the youtube thang
Round one. Raccoon
Round two. Ai
Round three. Raccoon
Winner is flesh bags take that robot
"Rackin' up these bitches" lmao I can't with you Wowza. xD
I feel the same about AI art though, just wish so many of them didn't charge an arm and a leg just to try out pfftt.
Keep it up girl! These videos are always great!
I say smash it to smithereens
wake up babe, new Wowza Dawg video just dropped
Now you have to worry, the AI art has became unbelievable advanced
artists will still have their demographic, no competition besides loosing intrest of people who don't appreciate the time and care to create art from scratch or minimum use of AI.
Stable Diffusion 3 constantly fcking up the human body:
Ai still can't make physical art, we're going to be fine untill they start growing legs.
The racoon is back, lets gooooooooo
2:41 Guess which artost I watch!
Thank you for the pictures, racoon lady
2:18 his eyes
