Tucked away in the sprawling stretch of earth known as Texas Hill Country, you’ll find the long-time home of country music superstar and quite possibly the world’s oldest cannabis connoisseur, Willie Nelson. Known as “Luck Ranch”, this is Willie Nelson’s very own “backyard” -- a location that he’s shared with a whole host of his closest friends, family, and fans for over a decade now. But before I get into all the details on how you can experience Willie Nelson’s home turf for yourself, let’s take a look at how this place came to be. Located in the unincorporated community of Spicewood, Texas, Luck Ranch was originally built on an area of land that Willie already owned come the mid-80s. At that time, Willie was adapting his 1975 album “Red Headed Stranger” into a feature film starring himself and Morgan Fairchild and decided to finally do the one thing he had always dreamed of doing since the time he was a small child - namely, own his very own Western Frontier town. Now, the original script actually called for all the buildings in the town to burn down at the very end of the film, but Willie decided that he loved the place so darn much that he called an audible on the ending, changing it so that the town survives and ensuring that the sets would all still be left standing when the cameras stopped rolling.

I live in Briarcliff and the golf course is within walking distance. Luck is just around the corner, his bus can be spotted when he’s here. The Reunion concert can often be heard outside my yard when it gets quiet at night. Its a nice life.

Willie Nelson is the original ( what you see is what you get ). I have met him many times. I have even smoked with willie on his bus in San Antonio. What a treat. I have several items that were given to me from Willie. You couldn't offer me enough money to sell. Having those things around brings great karma. Willie has put in the hard, hard work. And what Genius, being on one long tour since all of this started so many years ago. Do they have a venue, yes. Are they willing to pay to get in, yes. OK, let's go ! Willie once said, I'm just a pig farmer. I will say this, he has brought joy and entertainment to so many people around the world for so many years, it's almost unbelievable. And to think, all of this, from a down to earth everyday guy from a tiny town off of Interstate 35 north in Texas. What a fulfilled life that had not one minute taken for granted. A life that has been washed in the blood of the lamb. Here's to you Willie Hugh Nelson, thank you for all of the great memories.

As I was walking to Covington jr. High school ; Vancouver, WA. I’d go by my friends place Jeff. Who lived next door to Willie Nelson on Burton Rd. Vancouver WA.
We worked on his house in Briarcliff about 20 years ago. He had the most unique wood floors. They were made from "Hockey Puck" sized cuts of cedar wood throughout. In some areas the wood pieces formed mosaics shaped like figures such as eagles, and were stained different colors. It was a modest home considering who owned it... but that is Willie. I think he even had futon beds if i remember right! He was genuine and courteous in person. I remember one day working there and he had a country station playing on the radio. He must have thought that i was not the country type and he came in and changed the station.😂

Looking at my "Thumbnail" might give you some "hint" of what I might want to spend a large sum of "dollas" if I had them. Wouldn't be either of the choices you asked about. It might, however, be a VERY LARGE structure that could house LOTS of OLD SURVIVOR or restored collector cars. American one, of course mostly favoring 30's, 40's, and 50's vintages !!!

I've been following Willie and his merry prankster's.since I added REAL COUNTRY MUSIC to my music menu. It's been a hell of a ride. I lost my beautiful wife 7 months ago and every night at bedtime Willie sings to me "it's not something you get over but it's something you get through ". While it brings on the tears😢it also brings comfort to my💔.we love you Willie. Looking forward to much more music from you.god bless a great human being.

I can remember seeing a "ROCKFORD FILES" episode, where they used Nelson's voice, paired with a 6' 4" inch blond studly dude, lip-syncing the song, I laughed my ass off.........
