I like that you always show that you still have time to play or go outside with the dog. We indeed don't have to be very serious, rather have time to play or look around us and just enjoy.

As a fine art furniture conservator I can tell you that is so unusual to see so much care going into the making of a new piece of furniture.

It is nice to see good videos of someone building something with forethought and intent. I'm am really getting sick of watching mediocre project videos that conclude with the builder explaining what they would have done differently if they had thought more about it beforehand.

    I
recently died a great friend of ours and painter, Kasue Hasimoto (Meera
and Meera), who, as a child, and, seeing me work sticks, told me about
Japanese carpenters, the story of how they worked was similar to a story
about Magic ... your videos are as if they had
made the movie of those stories, very beautiful ... and memories to
Shiro, my dogs also sleep between the shavings
A hug and thank you very much

It still amazes me how we still use simple Hand Planners as we have for centuries (millennia?), which work perfectly, out of practicality bc many don't have access to the larger electric machine Planners needed for a large table top. It seems too obvious to even mention, but I find it reassuringly grounded in practicality.

There is clearly a common art/practicality shared w/ Shaker, Amish & Japanese furniture/woodworking/architecture. The philosophy/practice of simplicity, quality & respect of material is clearly expressed in all of them. Sometimes I'm not even sure if I'm looking at a Japanese, Shaker or Amish piece of woodworking.
