These guys were just as talented as any band from that era...and they had a great team of production to help them put out that great list of tunes. I only wish i coulda seen them..im 46 now.
Absolutely, saw them in 1992, when I was 18 in a small venue, De Peppel in Zeist (still great, just saw Leif de Leeuw there) and it was and still is one of my absolute top 3 concerts ever. What a top band! NB Last Wednesday, Roots n Rock (90fm) played When the brains go to the balls!
Remember the tour supporting Skid Row well. Saw that at the Ritz in Roseville, Michigan. Still have actual photos that I had to have developed from that show!!! Then, went back to see them headline with Vain opening. Same place. June 1, 1990. I took the seat of a cute boy when he got up to have a smoke so he would have to talk to me when he got back. Still together 32 years later.
They should have gotten much more attention. These were the best days of my life. Pre internet pre cell phones pre mp3 and I wouldnt trade those days for anything..
I watched the abysmal Airheads the other week. It was made in 1994 and the film showed how metal was mainstream as the band tries to get on the hot radio stations and reminded me how no one batted an eyelid at long-haired men in tank tops and torn, pale blue jeans. I wanted to cry - and not because the film was terrible.
I heard this song exactly once on the radio when it came out and was hooked. Bought the CD shortly after. Like a lot of hair metal albums of era, it was pretty much all filler besides this song. But I love it, still have it in a Rubbermaid bin somewhere. Love the flamenco guitar solo.
Long hair, strong musicianship, big hair, big vocals, big guitars, big choruses - you've no idea how much I miss the golden (and, sadly, tail-end) years of metal. I wish it was permanently 1993. The 80s were still fresh and the debut bands at the turn of the decade were of the highest quality.
+Kathryn Love Grunge had took over by '93... I'd say the peak was '89. Skid Row had just came out and Crue, Poison, Cindralla, Dokken, G 'N R etc etc were all still kicking ass
I so agree with you! I know people say to not live in the past , and I enjoy my life immensely nowadays, but as a child of the 80s, if there was ever a time machine invented that would have the ability to take a person back to that era permanently, I'd be first in line for a one way ticket, no questions asked!
My husband is fascinated above and beyond that I still know the lyrics to this awesome song..and that my 7 year old can sing along to it. Great music will live on!!!!
Just heard this song for the first time in YEARS on Eddie Trunk's show on Sirius' Hair Nation! Had to check out the video as soon as I got home! Man, I miss the days when Hair Metal ruled the airwaves!
I recall WDVE in Pittsburgh playing this song when I worked at a gas station. First time I heard it, I loved it. Everytime my buds and I talk 80s metal over some beers, I bring this song up. Great tune.
This song shot straight to #1 on Dial MTV. Pretty amazing considering the pattern everyday back then of teenagers coming home from school and speed-dialing MTV to vote for Motley Crue, Slaughter, and White Lion's Radar Love. Over and over again. Epic debut guys!
Great song! Music is timeless! That's why people love it! When your here a certain song it has the power to bring you right back where you were years ago, man its like a time-machine sometimes! Great music never dies!
You were there? I remember we shot the video in 2 days. The first day was without audience and the second with. We got the local radio stations to help us getting the people in. We were totally amazed how many of you turned up that day. Big thanks from me and the rest of the guys. Btw...Reunion talks have started!
When I was in high school around 90/91 I thought this was one of the greatest songs I’d ever heard. Still do. Unfortunately the radio station out of Chicago I listened to at the time hardly ever played it.
I'll never forget my rock buddy and best friend who introduced me to this song and band. He was always buying these hairband rock cassettes from bands I'd never heard of like Trixter, Every Mother's Nightmare, Diving for Pearls etc...He had a nice stereo system in his car and we jammed to this song! Of course he'd introduce me to any ballad that was on those tapes (This Time) 😊☺️
Thanks for your comment bro. You and your brother still on speaking terms? Some good news,...we are currently discussing a reunion tour. I had contact with all Beez members and they all want to do it. A US tour would be one of our priorities :-) I'll keep updates on my channel.
Don van Spall hey brother-man,what are you up 2 nowadaze, aye? Somehow, that sounds even better now than it did then, since most are nowhere near the sonic quality of you lot, dig? It’d be rather cool if y’all came out w/sum new stuff,I guarantee that it will do well, you could tour w/steel panther/ratt,why not? RIGHT-ON! ROCK-ON! \m/
I remember this video when I was 15 years old. It rocked, my a-hole brother had an extra ticket to Tampa Theater the night this bideo was shot and refused to take me. I miss the great music from my teen years, before grunge came along and pushed me to country. Thank god I can still find the music and videos that I still love at 33.
one of my favorite rock songs ever! i used to jam to this on my guitar (still do but i left it at work). i really love the rift and the switch from clean to distorted guitar, especially in the solo section. really love the vocals too. i always imagined using this in some sort of fantasy movie in that it has a bit of a mystical essence underlying the melody.
man that classical guitar solo along with the powerful electric guitar solo was just one of the best and most underrated guitar solos in fact the whole song was amazing
Wow, Sleeze Beez.. I was a spotlight operator for Armadillo Productions in the early 1990's and we worked this show at Bangles in Glendale, Colorado.. A cool non-cover band at Bangles..
The year is 1990. I'm spraying Salon Selectives hairspray onto my high bangs, crimping my Guess jeans and rolling them up before putting on my Reebok high tops. This song comes on MTV before I leave. It was the happiest of times.
Dude, the band was awesome!!, My then girlfriend, now wife sent me this cd when we were in Saudi for desert shield/storm. Man me and the guys in my squad about cried when we wore the thing out. Loved the music thank you.
Another one of my favorites from The Sleeze only 22 years old i am wish i could see this band and most of the good old 80s bands that were around durring my childhood
Rock on!!!! Great memories of 1990 for me when I was stationed at Ft. Lewis, Wa. Bought the cassette ( all the CD's were out ) a week after seeing this video:)
Love the solo the switch form nylon acoustic to soaring lead… oh the hair metal days at college and watching lobsters of rock! We miss rock and metal!!
Don Van spall i have sung this on karaoke a few times it was fun singing this song on karaoke I used to have a Karaoke machine in the past Called the singing machine when i was 12 years old I sang alot of metal karaoke still on this day I am now 33 years old I still Do sing metal karaoke songs by bands of Sleeze bleeze,Frontline, Journey and Kiss It was fun singing karaoke i've been singing karaoke for 5 years now i love what i do its my talent Don Van Spall :) Sleeze beeze rocks I love singing along to this song :) thats team work right there in the video ha ha :)
Thank you so much for posting this. When I was an early teen, I just loved all the hard rock bands. Dangerous Toys, Skid Row, Roxy Blue, Danger Danger, Tesla, Slaughter, Trixter, the list goes on and on. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.
As a kid in jr. high, I saw the video a few times on MTV back in the spring and summer of 1990 but I don't remember hearing it getting much radio play. Now I can hear it as much as I want and go back in time every time I hear it.
This song is the best! So many memories flooding back from the year I graduated high school - 1989! Don't think I've heard it since until tonight on The XM hair bands channel!
This song brings back a lot of memories, this is their best song in my opinion. I remember a time when this was the song I listened to a lot to get a special girl. It didn' t work but it still brings back a great deal of memories.
i was 16 when this tune i came across this tune on a tape i may have bought at a gas station while driving across Canada, but i really did listen to it for like fuckin ever! by the way, i am 34 years old now, and have still remembered this song enough to be commenting on it now. Of all the music i have listened to and all the bands i have seen, i never forgot this one. thank you to the guys who recorded it for giving a young fucker soooo much enjoyment. in my top 10.
After all these years, still love it. And feeling nostalgic, for it was Henkie Westbroek who introduced me to this on Vara's Vuurwerk.... Those were the days.

Thank you for the great reaction. Our first tour in the states was a 2 week tour supporting Skid Row. Wild times ;-)
Screwed, Blued and Tattooed was better than anything Skid Row put out - they should have been opening for Sleeze Beez…
Still listening to this on January 19, 2024, @DonVanSpall - it's still awesome.
September.🎉
Octubre,2024
nog steeds een van de beste songs ooit ,volgens deze 55 jaar oude rockfan..
Actually we did 3 more albums "Look Like Hell" "Insanity Beach" "Live In Tokyo"
Very under rated band should have been up their with the other's been a fan since first seeing them on headbangers ball the good old day's of MTV

All these years later and this song STILL kicks my ass, it's that good! Take me back to the 80's, PLEEZ, BEEZ!
What a whirlwind of fun it was back then! This generation really wears the shirt that said missed out.
Yea me too! 80's was the best decade to be young!!
Screwed, Blued and Tattooed was such a killer rock album. I wore that cassette out...miss these awesome bands.
They should have gotten much more attention. These were the best days of my life. Pre internet pre cell phones pre mp3 and I wouldnt trade those days for anything..

Kathryn Love Hey at least Lemmy was in it.
Rich Maharg Damm right, I wouldn't either...
Rich Maharg , brother you took the words right out of my mouth !!!! The best time and years of my life....
That acoustic solo in the middle of the song is forever etched into my brain. Perfectly placed into an awesome song! I loved/love these guys!
It's the year 2016 and I'm still finding glam hair bands I've never heard of before
+Tom Fehrenbach There's still hope. Lol
I hear ya, RUclips is good for that. Stumbled across this one also a while ago. Great tune.
Dude! LOL, just shows you how saturated that genre was (one of the reasons it blew up). Grunge bands you can count on your fingers.
You cant count any genre on your fingers, you just havent looked enough.
FYI This is one of the greatest songs ever written.:-)
***** Yeah!
+Kathryn Love Grunge had took over by '93... I'd say the peak was '89. Skid Row had just came out and Crue, Poison, Cindralla, Dokken, G 'N R etc etc were all still kicking ass
could not agree more

Love the solo the switch form nylon acoustic to soaring lead… oh the hair metal days at college and watching lobsters of rock! We miss rock and metal!!
So over looked by more popular bands. Yet JUST as good and even better then most.
Greatness. Hair bands don't get enough credit.

I heard this song on a chicago radio station called 1035 the Blaze, they played some great hair metal. I miss that radio station.
That riff is METAL. I LOVE hair metal which is reminiscent of the heavy stuff.
this is Hard Rock not metal
Listen to this at least once a month since it was released
I missed out on a lot of this music growing up in rural Alberta Canada. Rocking out now
Best Rock Band of the 80s 🤟 Rock On

My humble comment: A well written song....and the vox's ...simply great and catching chorus.
Seen this band open for Skid Row in 1991 @ The Roxy in (Buckhead) Atlanta!! One of the best shows EVER!!
First band I ever saw live! The Powerstation in Melbourne, FL. Kicked ass!! Still one of my favorite bands of all time.
I forgot all about this song, I'm so glad I stumbled on it! Wow I miss the hair band days, music just isn't like this anymore... :(
This song brings back a lot of memories, this is their best song in my opinion. I remember a time when this was the song I listened to a lot to get a special girl. It didn' t work but it still brings back a great deal of memories.

Gotta love an Acoustic solo in a song like this and pull it off.. Nice!
I STILL have the tape this song is on. I miss Z-Rock... It introduced me to so many good bands.
This albumn was one of a few that came out at the end of the 80's, beginning of the 90's that was actually freakin' awesome. It's equally as good as Wildside's "Under The Influence" and Spread Eagle's first albumn. Every song was either melodic or rockin.....even both!
