I found his music when uppercuts came out in 2017. Pretty sure he did radical $uicide with $B the year before but I didn’t know that was him until like 2019
Tanner is one of the best artists & producers in his generation. His style, creativity, talent and versatility are unmatched. Big fan of his music, especially Visceral onward & Terror Reid. Some of the best rap ever, plus he produces it himself which makes it that much sicker. Simply unmatched.
This is such a good documentary. As a getter fan since 2013 and terror reid fan since he started this a really good video. I just wish you mentioned his SoundCloud ep’s that didn’t offcially release called “Planet Neutral” and “Trench Lords” in my opinion “Trench Lords” changed the riddim game and Planet Neutral was his first dip into the visceral style
lets not forget stay awhile off the inner workings release all the way back in 2014. there was always that visceral side to him. a real bummer to lose such an amazing producer and dj.
I got to see him AND Deadmau5 in the same show. Deadmau5 CubeV3 at the Navy Pier. Best show I have ever been to in my life. I'll always remember how my buddy and I were at the rail the whole time, and heavily enjoying Getter being up there, and surreally, dude looked towards us jamming, threw us a nod, and smiled. I'll never forget that. Tanner seems like such a genuine dude that truly appreciates when people love his music. Also, I still listen to Visceral most days. Timeless album. I wish that any fans that ever get the chance to talk to him would make it known that it's underrated and he should be proud of it.
Reid has been one of my favorites since i heard dead to me. I remember hearing on my way out, and then i searched “getter” to find more music, saw “dead to me” then put 2 and 2 together and realized getter was terror… then realized he was the suh dude and played in real bros. Tanner is so versatile, from a ring to the music. I think some of his best work though is his getter x ghostmane EP.
I fw Getter since Day 1. Him and Trolley Snatcha were(are) the funniest, most authentic, talented peeps to ever do it. No matter what genre they want to have a go at I am already on board because they put their whole soul into every release. Big ups Getter, large verticals Audio Eats!
Getter is an interesting dude, unfortunately overshadowed by bigger (but not better) artists at the time. He was good then, and unlike 85% of brostep from that time, it aged really well.
The fact that everyone hopped on Excision’s nuts after Getter called him out for using ghosts, Getter being one of them was really unfortunate. It’s typical of the EDM scene to be so hopped up on molly and acid to not give a fuck about who actually produces the music.
@@Tribalkeef39Where is the proof he has ghost producers? I've seen this said several times but I have still not seen any proof other than Getter and Figure saying he does, which is nothing but allegations. Hearsay. Is there actual proof you know of? Even if Getter did do it, that still wouldn't mean he has ghost producerS, just had one-one time and may of never done it again. Space Laces defended him too, when defending himself. I don't trust Figures word at all either.
There’s no way… he also didn’t quit EDM either, he just hasn’t released any EDM material in a bit after Some Creature. In 2017, he was in a lot of drama and went on a lot of Twitter rants and had beef with people for which of course he’s died down off that nowadays but there was a lot of stress and drama back in those days. This was also when things were weighing down on his mental health too. And this was before Visceral officially came out. His Terror Reid stuff is rising in popularity and he’s been more pursuing that and in a way, seems to be making that full time compared to when he did the Getter material . But as you said, he didn’t make a hard stop on Getter. Getter is an absolute genius though and one of my favorite producers/artists of all time outside of Virtual Riot, Svdden Death, Skrillex, & several hip hop producers
@@DCspinelli27 maybe because the only people that you see at festivals are either fried or super soulless. Maybe the musicians in the scene aren’t much better. Dark vibes took over EDM a few years ago
