In short allowing people to move is morally just and even mandated, if possible. TELLING an entire population to move under threat of death a qualifies as a mass forcible transfer. You could probably get away with forcing one family to move, e.g., if their house was used as a high value military target. The same obviously doesn’t apply for entire regions.
For instance, there are qualifications for evacuations but this situation is not an evacuation, which would involve members of the occupying force specifically coordinating the civilian withdrawal and not simply an order for a mass exodus under threat of death. Further stipulations of Article 49 are being violated, such as the requirement to adequately feed and provide medical care for any transferred person and the evacuation area not to be subject to military actions.

When he asked Krystal a question and then accused her of filibustering when she answered his question, that was a bit infuriating. You could tell he got mad at the answer so he tried to undermine it without actually saying anything about the solution she provided.
I couldn't have phrased it better. Her answer wasn't really even necessary, she could have just said its not her responsibility to come up with the details of a counter-terrorist operation on the fly, but instead she gave an extremely measured and succinct response to his stupid question. For him to call that "filibustering" should be borderline offensive to people who actually give a shit about this issue imo.

Was a pretty idiotic thing to say in response to her answer tbh. Say what you will about Jocko Willink but he called for a ceasefire over a month ago and proposed practically the exact plan she stated as the only truly effective method of targeting terrorist groups like Hamas. You basically have to play a long game of flooding Gaza with resources to help win over the civilians as you’re collecting intel about Hamas and running very targeted operations with special forces. Again, say what you will about the guy. But he probably has as good an awareness of how to combat terrorist groups as anyone. This strategy has also been championed by other veterans and military strategists that basically say it’s the only realistic option. Would have been good to see Israel do that but clearly targeting Hamas alone wasn’t the goal. It’s too late now anyway. They’ve blown up the entire city. There’s nothing for these people to return to, and nobody is going to rebuild their homes. Even if they started today. It would take years. Israel’s actions are unforgivable and have bought them at least another century of guaranteed terrorist attacks by Islamic extremists, and have also burned up support from the west with the exception of US.

You are emotionally reacting. It isn't surprising though. Have you watched TRT world channel? There is a video, Capital Hill meeting with Robert F. Kennedy clearly stating, "I am Pro Palestinian, anti-Hamas" He explains that people need to start understanding the difference.
You know, it is not wrong to say I support Israel's right to self-defense, and still not support every single thing they have done and will do. Does anyone really look into anything anymore? I mean, who is going to run this country...Biden or Trump? I don't think Israel is the issue with the ones who turned their backs on Kennedy. I don't think they thought this through one bit. Reacting and not responding. He is everything we need. This is America, not Israel. This is the West, not the Middle East. I'm so behind that man.

The Iron Dome is basically a cheap ripoff of the US Patriot Missile Defense system. Israel is able to sell it to countries like Azerbaijan, Romania, and Singapore at a much lower price, because the research was paid for by the US Defense Budget.

i mean, to be fair, that's just being a politician, it's not like trump was the first politician to blow smoke up our @$$. trump is a terrible human being and a liar, but he's just a symptom of the larger problem. like the buboes of the black plague, he's just the obvious sign of the disease, and a vector point for it to spread from. the republican party has been this way since raegan at least, they've just been quieter and smarter about it in the past.
