Mike: Don't apologize for your life-style (whatever that might be). Your travel adventures and videos are entertaining and informative. There were years in my life where I traveled a lot and years when I did not due to family obligations with my children, work load, and (yes) lack of sufficient funds. When you are at the end of your life's path you want to be able to say, "I'm glad I did" NOT "I wish I had" and no one can really tell you where that dividing line is except you, yourself. The only question I really have is: where do you put all that food you eat? As my grandmother used to say: "You must have a hollow leg." You eat and stay slender.
I think Singapore Airlines you have to request for the goody bag! I love those goody bags too! Try Emirates next time. I enjoyed the economy class foods as well. I love your videos!!! Love from M'sia!
I have flown on Singapore Air at least 50 times if not more. They always have good bags for 1st and business. In first they are on your seat for long flights because you also get pajamas. In business they are usually hidden in one of the many little storage doors. Too bad because the Bvlgari scent you liked in the bathroom is one of the items they give you.
Mikey Chen One suggestion when you fly back, keep your boarding pass from the business flight. Then even though you are in economy tell the staff what happened show them your prior boarding pass. I promise they will go up to business and get you a goodie bag if they have an extra one. Maybe you may even luck into a 1st class one, as you know they have the best customer service in the air.
Well, I've watched all of your airline travel videos. This airline is clearly the best. It beats the KAL 1st Class. Plus, the production quality of this video is sweet. That's because Singapore is so small that you don't need to take an airplane to get from end to end! It's only an hour to get across the island by car!

About seven years ago I went on Singapore Airlines economy class to India from America, and it was the best flight experience I have ever had. The food and service were all amazing, they continuously fed me every 3-4 hours. (Either a snack or a meal) glad you had a great time, your videos are awesome :D
The Lobster Thermidor to be exact :) My wife opted to have this twice on the same day for a SIN-HKG leg (A380 Suite) followed by a HKG-SFO (777 First) leg last year. Both times it was excellent! I opted for the "book the cook" rack of lamb which was out of this world (perfect med-rare!). I think Singapore's meals are all excellent in Business or First, but the "book the cook" option is class-leading!

I like your vary casual approach to traveling and I travel the same way probably because I was raised in Los Angeles. I used to go to meetings for my boss and was the only one in the room wearing tennis shoes and jeans. I would only wear a suit when I had to testify in court for my former company.

Fly to Manila, Mike! You'll love the food here. From local food to our own Chinatown that's heavily influenced by Taiwanese and Cantonese dishes. You'll enjoy the hospitality if the people here! Plus, most sales people can speak English.

I enjoy watching your reviews of these flights because of your down to earth approach to them. I've never flown Emirates so can't compare, but Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific and ANA are my favorite airlines in terms of service, food and in flight entertainment. I've avoided flying UA a long time ago due to their generally grouchy flight attendants on international flights.

Singapore Airlines is apparently the top 3 airline in the world with an amazing crew. And if that's the business class then I reckon its first and suites class is amazing. Wow!
When I went to Singapore Airlines business class, I ate a lot. Lunch was crazy with selection of chocolates and for the so called "refreshment" at about 3-4pm was a big plate of fried rice!!! I would have that for dinner!
I've tried numerous business class products on different airlines, and Singapore has the best. The ANA one is as good. some other Asians ones and Qantas are good but not as good. Air China is very inconsistent. United and AA are usually awful but few of their chief pursers are so nice and professional.
Think about it, even if you're paying for first class, you have to worry about your seat being confiscated... It hasn't happen to me but I wouldn't say I haven't worried about it.

Singapore Airlines is not only the best airline in Asia but in the world. visit Singapore! you will definitely love our airport! we got a swimming pool, 3 theme gardens, cinemas, game station areas, sleeping area ( we were ranked the best airport to sleep over), lots of eateries, DFS.. and many more for you to enjoy.
