ANA is the best airline I've flown so far. I didn't know about their company policy about not accepting gifts so I brought American candies/chocolates and handed it to the crew when I boarded but they had to give it back because of that policy. They couldn't take it at all. But I explained on my note inside the bag that it was my first time to Japan and it was my lifelong dream coming true. They made me a dessert, similar to what they gave you with a handwritten note and origami as well. I got super emotional, almost cried. I will never forget it. ANA crew is the best.
I got to fly them last year, and you are a 100% right. Their service truly reflects Japan's culture of providing an amazing product and service. Don't get me wrong, there are rude customers in the US, but I wish we saw service comparable to Japan with how they want to make sure they deliver what you paid for.

1990s were amazing! That wasn't CPD. Those were Department of Aviation thugs that United called on board. They may be moonlighting cops from another area, but they were not acting under CPD when they did what they did. From now on, due to this situation, CPD is supposed to take main jurisdiction in situations that require police boarding airlines at Chicago airports. CPD does not have a great reputation either, but let's call a spade a spade.
The Japanese airline is exactly what I expected it to be. The Japanese have never disappointed me in food quality or customer service. They put effort into their craft and I appreciate that.
While other airlines are beating up their passengers including mothers with children, there is at least one airline with very nice people and good service. Too bad other airlines don't have this type of service.

I have been on a hell of a lot of planes and different airlines but ANA are exceptional. I was on a flight from Sydney (Australia) to NYC but via Tokyo. I was only in economy on a flight out of SYD that was only maybe a quarter full. The lady serving noticed I hadn't eaten my green noodles and commented that they are so delicious and had come with a special sauce sachet tucked under the dish that I had not noticed. She sat down beside me, opened the sachet of sauce, poured it over the noodles and proceeded to hand feed me with the chopsticks ... I was in heaven at 30,000 feet. When I told her I I had never had sake, she returned with a glass she had warmed and poured fresh sake for me. Before landing, she presented me with a 6 pack of sake as a gift of her appreciation that I had chosen to fly ANA ... BIZARRE !!! And that was ECONOMY class ... One great airline
The customer service and how nice they were to you makes me want to fly this airline... going that extra mile those sweet women did with your fruit platter was so sweet, smart, and good business on their part. A+!
My family flew ANA to Thailand as well. We sat in economy and no one introduced themselves and the food looked nothing like that. I love watching your vlogs to see how the "other people" live. I can't wait to do my first vlog. It will be this January. We're flying to Bora Bora and Tahiti. I loved the Japan ladies rooms. The cleanser strip for your phone in the stall and a place to sit your kid while you're "busy".

Mike--My spouse was stationed in the Philippine Islands for a one-year unaccompanied tour about 40 years ago. His trip home took about 24 hours. Had we lived elsewhere than the LA area, it would have taken even longer.
Dude thai airlines is legit My first time flying to bangkok they gave me headsets for the monitor thing on the seat (it has games,music,movies,cartoons,documentaries,the menu, and some random series of shows) and then after 30 mins in the air they started wheeling out free lunch for all the passengers. Also the remote doubles as controler for the on flight games
Mikey next time you travel to bangkok go to the fourseasons bangkok hotel its 100$ a night but its another level of luxury(for a reasonable price) greetings from Bogotá

I miss Japan now. I went there few weeks ago with my whole family and we stay there for a whole week. I have a great time. I am going again in 2020 to see the olympic games. I am glad I get to see few aircraft cockpit. The pilot is very nice to me.
