I only recall being impressed by these 2 times the first was at a HVZ game and someone had modded the blaster to have brass barrels a huge spring load and could load it on the fly faster than i could switch a mag at the time the second was someone intergraded it as the under gun of a long shot and it was just awesome -keegan
My crush just rejected me, this was the first thing in my subscriber feed. This made me happy, I watched it, and gained inspiration from the video to crack it open, doing some AR removal, and a tiny spring upgrade. Thank you Walcom, you are my nerf fuzzy hero.
That's actually not what I said. I said it could, I also stated it would most likely break. His series doesn't show you the full story: Blasters break under heavy spring loads if they don't have strong enough internals.
Captain Xavier you also never mention how if you want your blaster to last longer, you have to reinforce it's internals, and pad both the plunger tube and head.
This makes me glad that I picked one up a while back. Maybe a slight spring upgrade, and it could be a neat back up blaster. Thanks for this tag back, sir.
I own the 2005 version (the one with the stickers on the side) that I found at goodwill for less than 5 bucks. I found you can prime it by putting your thumb on the back vent part and use you other fingers for pulling it back. It's pretty fun to use.
I found a blue Dart Tag Hyperfire in one of my neighbors’ back yard and she let me keep it, and it was way back in like 2016 since I found the blaster. I pretended it was like a sci-fi blaster, but thanks to you, it brought light to an old Nerf blaster I own now.
i found a couple of these in a Goodwill. it was there in a couple of colors. sort of a Rival precursor in a sense.the fore grip stabilizes your aiming, but its annoying to move back and forth to and from the prime; comfortable enough though. and while a 10 dart capacity is pretty decent, putting it in a cylinder (of sorts) just makes it bulky. so its too big for a proper side arm, but too small and low capacity for a competent primary, even if you give it a better spring. so i think i agree that its in a weird middle ground that makes it hard to reccomend. i ended up not picking one up and instead taking home a Diatron at that time
It's garbage but I love garbage. It's actually insanely comfy and stable if you attach a stock to it. You could be going crazy on the slide all you want but it won't jiggle a bit if you got your hand on the foregrip and shoulder on the stock. Slapped a tommy 20 stock onto mine and I loved it.
Speaking of mods I have a nodded one that I put a stock on and put a drain blaster on the inside and Intergrated it into the handle. Made it modular cause of chaylo and it feels awesome as a sorta shotgun middle launcher thing
I have 2 of these gonna take my red one and cut it up to shell my drain blaster and use the cylinder to make an attachment along with a breach single shot attachment now i just need a stock mount to slam on the back.
The largest flaw with this blaster is the rotation mech. The performance also scales poorly with spring upgrades. It's nice for what it was and it won me every backyard war, but modability? Sadly, not viable. And I sunk a lot of time into it.
great indoor blaster! i think we worry too much about making blasters adapt to the outdoor HVZ nerfapalooza, sometimes it's nice to find out where a blaster WANTS to be used and work backwards.
im too old. when dartag was all the rage i was into supersoakers which where around much longer and before they dumbed them down the electric squirt guns where awsome you should do a supersoaker TAG BACK
Way late to the party here but, this thing looks fun. I found a new one for 20 on Amazon and bought it just to play around with. I'm not a competitive nerfer, so just general fun and play value mean a lot to me and I like the cosmetics on this to boot. So oddly, while you didn't recommend it, Walcom, you sold me on it anyway. :)
To be honest they are pretty good with the new accustrike darts. I tested it and shoots about 70ft!! And is really accurate. I personally like them but gonna end up selling them for 5$ I'm a flywheel person
The Guy it’s been three months since you said this, so you may have already sold it, but it could make an awesome sidearm from this. Instead of spraying the enemy, you could just focus on an easy shot with the accustrike darts. #$niper_$tatu$
Walcom is sending you a Dart Zone Scorpion, Vagabond, the attachments to a Tri Strike, and possibly some money worth two possibly modded Dart Tag Speedswarms?
I have one of those and when I picked it up I pegged it as being a reverse plunger blaster until I took it apart and now its one of my favorite old blasters along with the maverick and to this day I'm still thinking of some ideas for mods on it
I had a speedload 6, it jamed all the time, then we got a catastrophic jam, not able to do anything, and it was soooo hard to do anything, so I threw it out
Also known as "That blaster that's available at every thrift store"
@Golden Expired Milk yeah, me to, I bought 8 guns from there
The dart tag hyperfire. A.K.A The Michigan thrift store staple
I have 5 of these things. 3 from thrift stores and garage sales and 2 of them from when me and my brother were kids
I have one of these this dot know what happened to it
I only recall being impressed by these 2 times the first was at a HVZ game and someone had modded the blaster to have brass barrels a huge spring load and could load it on the fly faster than i could switch a mag at the time the second was someone intergraded it as the under gun of a long shot and it was just awesome -keegan
who is keegan
Keegan is the name of the guy who posted the comment and owns the channel Olympia Foam Society. Basically he signed his comment.
I am 1 of the owners the other is Kieran our founder we sign our names to avoid confusion -Keegan

glad you covered the Blaster that I gotten from my mom. I got me a Jolt now
Matt how are you doing on your nightf infer?
I love this thing for no reason
here is a project for you walcom...
Turn a mega centurion into the Kraber from titanfall
I don't think he would,he already did something with one which I can't remember
The eli Show Walcolm made a gun Lance from Monster Hunter with a Centurion
You are awesome, you make my day
Keep on nerfing
Captain Xavier put a K26 in that...I call bull on it not being good for spring upgrade...
That's actually not what I said. I said it could, I also stated it would most likely break. His series doesn't show you the full story: Blasters break under heavy spring loads if they don't have strong enough internals.
WalcomS7 it seemed to take it well
I always forget to mention that putting a k26 in a blaster will ALWAYS shorten the life of the blaster significantly...
Captain Xavier
you also never mention how if you want your blaster to last longer, you have to reinforce it's internals, and pad both the plunger tube and head.
eightdot no I do memtion this when I do full mod guides. I will try to remember to mentiin it in future episodes. :)
The front handle might be for priming without accidentally rotating the cylinder. It isn't hard to use the trigger handle though
Ashton Lovell he meant that you would hold the front handle, then prime the back section.
The front part isn't movable
This makes me glad that I picked one up a while back. Maybe a slight spring upgrade, and it could be a neat back up blaster. Thanks for this tag back, sir.
Dude i swear, you have a perfect radio voice
I own the 2005 version (the one with the stickers on the side) that I found at goodwill for less than 5 bucks. I found you can prime it by putting your thumb on the back vent part and use you other fingers for pulling it back. It's pretty fun to use.
I found one in my garage about a year ago, when I got back into the hobby, took it apart and can't fix it now that I took it apart....
I found a blue Dart Tag Hyperfire in one of my neighbors’ back yard and she let me keep it, and it was way back in like 2016 since I found the blaster. I pretended it was like a sci-fi blaster, but thanks to you, it brought light to an old Nerf blaster I own now.
Okay but the fact that you have Anamanaguchi on this makes me love this video more, and because the gun is a throwback!
i found a couple of these in a Goodwill. it was there in a couple of colors. sort of a Rival precursor in a sense.the fore grip stabilizes your aiming, but its annoying to move back and forth to and from the prime; comfortable enough though. and while a 10 dart capacity is pretty decent, putting it in a cylinder (of sorts) just makes it bulky. so its too big for a proper side arm, but too small and low capacity for a competent primary, even if you give it a better spring. so i think i agree that its in a weird middle ground that makes it hard to reccomend. i ended up not picking one up and instead taking home a Diatron at that time
Doesnt seem very "hyper"
It's garbage but I love garbage. It's actually insanely comfy and stable if you attach a stock to it. You could be going crazy on the slide all you want but it won't jiggle a bit if you got your hand on the foregrip and shoulder on the stock. Slapped a tommy 20 stock onto mine and I loved it.
Just what I needed to brighten my day a Walcom video thank you for this and all you do you help when I'm down also the blaster is pretty neat
I got one of these in a lot on eBay and had no idea what it was called so I looked it up, just like Walcom said in the video 😂
I just found two of these at goodwill a few days ago, orange and green, both in perfect condition.
put the palm of your hand on the back and grip the lip of the priming handle with your fingers and spam away.
I know this is late but you know that the tac rail was released on the scout first right walcom?
Speaking of mods I have a nodded one that I put a stock on and put a drain blaster on the inside and Intergrated it into the handle. Made it modular cause of chaylo and it feels awesome as a sorta shotgun middle launcher thing
Single biggest issue I have with these things is the ergonomics of the priming handle - it's almost impossible to get a comfortable grip on
I have 2 of these gonna take my red one and cut it up to shell my drain blaster and use the cylinder to make an attachment along with a breach single shot attachment now i just need a stock mount to slam on the back.
Man I love the red blaster with the green trigger great video love tag back keep up the amazing work
The largest flaw with this blaster is the rotation mech. The performance also scales poorly with spring upgrades. It's nice for what it was and it won me every backyard war, but modability?
Sadly, not viable. And I sunk a lot of time into it.
yay he finally did a video on this blaster
great indoor blaster! i think we worry too much about making blasters adapt to the outdoor HVZ nerfapalooza, sometimes it's nice to find out where a blaster WANTS to be used and work backwards.
I like how you put this up when I just got this from goodwill lmao!
Happy 20th birth year to the Nerf Dart Tag Hyperfire!
10/10 would stop scavving the Steam store to watch this.
5 years after the tag back episode and I can still say that the Hyperfire is a BEAST
by the way the flip fury shells look very sexy on the strongarm
Tag Back
i just started modding one today and i look to see what others have done and found nothing but stumbled across ur video and gave ya a like
The fond memories for me come from he reliability of this thing
Boomco is known for taking nerf guns and making them good
I have four of these.
Actually, if I recall correctly, Captain Xavier upgraded this with a K26 and it worked great, from what I remember...
This blaster is as old as me
My modded (hyperfire dart tag) hits 55ft and it shoots at 77.8 fps
I'd love you to review the beloved/hated Scout EX-3. Still my favorite blaster, even if it's power is paltry.
I had just been born and my uncle got me this I remember because when I got older I had no idea where it came from my 1st nerf gun I guess
I remeber getting the dart tag vests and the little pistols and running around the house with the flag going off
thats my favorite dart tag blaster.
Hold up! Walcom's almost at 50K!
I like the goofy stuff too!!
i love this blaster
Looks prime to masterkey. Now can it take a k26?
Isheian yes it can
BRO THANKS SO MUCH I WAS LOOKING FOR A PIC OF THE INSIDE SO I CAN FIX IT THXS!
I used to have 4, two red two blue, then I accidentally ran over a blue
I think coop integrated one onto a big blast. I just recently found a half completed one I attempted years ago. I may just finish it
When I first saw this I thought it was an mechanical spring system like a stampede
I have a green one, works perfectly
Mama loves me some Scott Pilgrim 🎸
you take a spring powered blaster and modify it to a fly wheel blaster
Ummmm... walcolm its not monday... its thursday
im too old. when dartag was all the rage i was into supersoakers which where around much longer and before they dumbed them down the electric squirt guns where awsome you should do a supersoaker TAG BACK
Two ideas for a new tag back episode: maverick or strikefire
Way late to the party here but, this thing looks fun. I found a new one for 20 on Amazon and bought it just to play around with. I'm not a competitive nerfer, so just general fun and play value mean a lot to me and I like the cosmetics on this to boot. This was one of my first nerf guns The other was a barricade
Walcom is sending you a Dart Zone Scorpion, Vagabond, the attachments to a Tri Strike, and possibly some money worth two possibly modded Dart Tag Speedswarms?
This was made when I was born!😂😂
there's an entire hvz faction based around this blaster, or at least there was, I don't know anymore. ask bobololo about them, they where cool.
this thing looks like a ray gun to me
i got one and moded it and took out the air rectricters and it is my new workhorse
that dart tag hyper fire is 18 years and 7 days old
i still have one of these. I had two (they were my first nerf guns) but one broke.
I just found this at the thrift store. I wanna make it shoot tennis balls
1:54 Niko VS the WORLD
I have one of those and when I picked it up I pegged it as being a reverse plunger blaster until I took it apart and now its one of my favorite old blasters along with the maverick and to this day I'm still thinking of some ideas for mods on it
I wish you could upgrade the spring and put a N strike stock on the back. ☺️
MY FAVORITE BLASTAH
I remember I use pull the trigger really fast and pretend it was a machine gun
stopped playing fallout for this :)
I loved It because I rammed a panther tank in it brassed the cylinder and boom powerful revolver ahh the memories
tag back recon!
Heyyyy walrus ^-^
I have found 10+ of these at the thrift store, I bought 4 thinking they were rare...
I had a speedload 6, it jamed all the time, then we got a catastrophic jam, not able to do anything, and it was soooo hard to do anything, so I threw it out
im getting one of these thrown in with a titan
I just got one of those recently
I got a green one when I was little
I feel old now
you have to get the new dartzone
I have 4 of these that I found at goodwill lol
walcom it's technically a better maverick
walcoms7 do you want a second one
Indifferent means pretty much neutral
I found the red and blue one together at a thrift store, how rare are these
Keep up the vids
I still have that blaster
I want two. One for integration and one for a cosplay-esk solo mod.
I got a red one used for 3.99 so pretty good deal
I love the look of this it reminds me of when I started nerfing still love the stampede also I started watching gundam I don't regret anything
HEY I have one
