Single engine planes are probably the safest planes to fly. Especially for a beginning pilot. I love flying them, and the Cerrus SR22 is the safest and most fun plane I've flown. It has a built in parachute in the top of the plane.

Rooster Teeth Gus some Cessnas' have vortex generators that are at near the leading edge of the wing. The vortex generators help air flow at slow speeds so you have a lot of aileron authority and won't tip stall at slow speeds
