- Sorry for the long ass video you should be able to go forward and see the parts that interest you. I am trying to learn to edit videos so there will be some shaky moments. All in all this will show me installing the tune and also running the car.

the different Marty octane tunes take about 30 miles of driving to fully change settings for the ECU. also, the 87 tune.....just really does only like 2 things, shift points and timing.

By the way do you know if that will work on the 2004. I have the last year, or should I say the best year 👍 because it has the throttle cable. Will that work on a 2004 model car?
@@frederickbehn5610 Hey brother appreciate the comment that's all I am trying to be is real. To answer your question yes Marty can do a tune for a 2004 each car he does will be a specific tune for it and any modifications you do are taken into consideration as well.

If you have an 05+ panther, you need to get his tune for the shift improvement if nothing else. 05+ cars don't need the J-mod. They just need software changes

I will be getting my Marty tune soon, what gears do you have in your rearend? Do your tires bark in 2nd gear at wide open throttle?
I have stock 3.27 I have 20" Wheels so it does not bark on second because my tires are too new but if that wasn't the case it would def chirp second.

I have a 2011 crown vic bone stock and it definitely barks in 2nd with 3.27
@@MiamiMach cycle through the gears! You'll get that chirp, new tires and all
Extremely heavy cars tho. You will always fight the weight in these things. Tunes generally your best bet for most cars although on a budget. Switch the gears out lol 3.55+. You’ll loose the MPG. But that will wake it up too.
Anyone with out the Mercury Maruader Airbox and Mass Airflow also a nice bang. 2005+ P71s had them stock. May have been 2004. I forget.
ECU disengages the compressor for AC over 75% throttle.
Did you change out throttle body before you did the tune?? If not I would put a bigger 1 on and you'll have even better throttle response on it

Hey man am 14 years old and was wondering do you think a crown vic is a good starting car because I either want a crown vic or a truck
As a dad myself I wouldn't get this for my son. These cars get attention from cops and the last thing you want as a kid is that type of attention. I would say go for the truck its useful and there are many ways to make some extra cash with a truck whatever you do end up getting wish you the best just be responsible with it and you will be good.
Use a wideband and see how clean your afr is.

@Mike Boo I went with the 87 as well for the same reason, I had to get a tune, I have a '99 Townie with a PI engine swap, Marty will ask you all about your car and what mods are on it...
Mine has PI engine, MM airbox/maf/ziptube with AEM DryFlow filter, 2.5" exhaust Summit X pipe, Cherry bomb Salute bullet style mufflers, 235/60 ZR16 tires, my gears are 3.08 however which is good for highway use...not so much around town.

Maybe, but you could just put it back to the stock tune for the smog test.

First off you won’t feel anything while the car is not at normal temp.what you’re really feeling is the the shift points and a little timing change. Honestly you need to spend money to make power..
Yeah honestly it does not claim to make power it claims to improve the response of the car and that it 100% does if you wanna make power in a Vic swap to a coyote lol.

Honestly car idles the same just no fluctuation in my idle smoother overall.

So this tune only alters the shift points right? This tune doesn't actually give extra HP or TQ right.
I dont own a marty tune myself, but it can add up to 20hp i hear. It really depends on what you are looking for as he offers a variety of tunes. You can get a tune for 91 octane or you could keep it at 85
It does alter shit points it also reduces pedal lag and gives you better throttle response plus 20 hp.
