Shimo really did carry this fight, Scar King got washed every time he tried to 1v1 Kong or Godzilla.
Cant agree more. Not calling scar is a bad villain but people coping and saying stuff like "idk why people think scar is weak" when in the movie we can see while he can edge against kong a little bit with his skill, kong still ended up handling his ass. Meanwhile scar against goji isnt even a fight lmao dude gets instantly thrown and running away.
They compensate scar lack of superpower like the previous MV villains with his smartness and shimo
@dohnaseek I mean, skar King can handle himself against Kong pretty well.They were about equal in the hollow earth, and on the surface godzilla and kong kept hitting shimo and skar king with sneak attacks.
Same with Godzilla, Kong is definetly stronger than Skar King but against Shimo he would've been dead had it not been for Godzilla

Not the entire movie. Primarily the big 4, 5 if you count mothra. I'm sure skars more powerful than Suko, those boar dogs, and probably the others in their tribe.

Shimo looking to godzilla with uncertainty and fear so good after being freed, really gives some character to her, especially Godzilla roaring at her but not attacking to say "Do it!".

I love how Shimu looked back at Godzilla before firing at Skarr. It's like Godzilla ordered her to freeze him when he roared. She knows who the real boss was.

@bentwentythree because Godzilla is still the Alpha titan and another thing during the fight. Godzilla was mostly tackling her during the whole fight. He wasn't trying to kill her, just buy enough time for Kong until the crystal was destroyed. Basically Godzilla could've killed her if he wanted to but Mothra told him he needed more restraint since he was too aggressive lately

While Skar King and Shimo are threats together, Godzilla and Kong are the better team simply because they are willing to work together, while Shimo was forced to do Skar King's bidding. Once Skar King lost control over Shimo, he was no longer a threat. Skar King couldn't handle Kong or Godzilla on his own, let alone together. Not to mention how Shimo was clearly willing to turn on Skar King when she had the chance.

She allows her allies to ride on her back, she runs on 4 legs, and Kong pet her like she was his pet in the final scene.

For the most part they were on equal footing, but Shimo’s beam has more lasting effects than Godzilla’s, so that could be a problem. Godzilla broke out of it on his own though, so it won’t be easy for Shimo

The fight scenes are a 10/10 but I feel like this story should've gotten into more detail about the stroy and that it was really fast paced. Like the final battle felt like Godzilla and Kong speedrunning an 30 mins battle in 9 minutes

Godzilla vs shimu was really a battle of its own, godzilla is a force to be reckoned with and he is built like Kong while shimu is built like a dog, and she is bigger, and has a breath of her own. But in the end she was being controlled by the Skar King and Godzilla opened the door for that control shard to be destroyed because he grabbed Skar's chain and broke it, for little man to take Kongs Axe and destroy it, therefore freeing Shimu from Skar's control. Allowing her to help them defeat Skar King

You know the fights at the city gives me the same vibe as the fight in most Tokusatsu series i have watched when i was a kid, like Ultraman.
What cause me to get reminded with that series is that the fight keeps me focused with their battle without worrying of the potential casualties during the fight. Like how Ultraman's fight usually shown on the series, focus on the fights rather than the civillians around them so they wouldn't make us feel worried for any potential casualties.
I think the filmmaker deserve another praise to bring the Tokusatsu-vibes on the movie.

Don't see why people praise the detail in this movie when, after Kong gets the metal tooth implant, there's numerous times later on where they show him with his regular tooth. Just pause at 3:38 as an example
