your the first person I have seen that knows how to use these tips.. I seen several videos and no one seem to know what they were doing
I've seen quite a few of these videos but I got annoyed with the fake enthusiasm or fake confusion of the bakers just for viewer entertainment. This is the only one I've watched all the way through and you made me really like these nozzles.
Thank you so much! That means a lot xx
CupcakeJemma I love your London vibe, no bull shiite, just creative, style with substance
XandraLeigh Same!
I wonder what would have happened if you twisted the piping bag while you were pulling up....
you can buy it from www.aliexpress.com/store/product/101pcs-set-russian-tulip-nozzles-cake-icing-piping-nozzles-bags-coupler-and-heart-Tie/704072_32805202202.html?spm=2114.12010608.0.0.59f031cekQjiEN
This is by far the best Russian piping tip demonstration I've seen. These are gorgeous! I actually really loved the rainbow roses too :) I would absolutely buy a couple dozen assorted flower cupcakes like these for a party, these are beautiful!

Really have to refrigerate the frosting before piping so it will be firm and hold shape.
I'll make sure to do that the next time I'm practicing with my Russian piping tips
I've seen a lot of piping demos with Russian tips...despite this vid. being 6 yrs old at time of watching - it is by far my favourite colour combination
Thank you for adding leaves! I haven't seen many tutorials about these tips that actually take the time to add leaves. They make all the difference!!
I think you are the first in RUclips to actually pull off so well with these tips. The butter cream consistency was fabulous
Flowers on cupcakes are really my cup of tea. Just ordered my first russian tips online. Cant wait to have it next week 💕
The second to last one that you piped almost looks like a tropical kind of flower! Looks great for making some sort of tropical themed cakes or something, especially with those colors!
The tip insert as you pipe the flower is brilliant. Nice video.
Absolutely LOVE your Tutorial on these! The flowers that you created are so much more beautiful than any of the ones I have seen by other Bakers.
I love your choices of pastel colors for these. That really adds to the delicacy of the flowers.
This is the first video I see on these things where the person reviewing them isn’t annoying, bless you
I bought some and couldn't figure it out... NOW, I, cannot wait to try 'em out! Baking my 1st, 100% scratch cake for my Mum's 80th birthday this year, May 14, 2022... and chocolate ganache filling!
TY for this very helpful video! ❤ Cheers!
Thanks Jemma. Mine arrived yesterday and my four year old has been asking for rainbow 🌈 cupcakes for weeks! Great tips. On so many levels 😃🙏
Jenna yours are the best I've seen. Thank you for giving them a thorough test. Really helpful!!!!!!!
Jemma***
This is really helpful because I have Russian piping tips and I needed to brush up in some techniques for a fondant cake, thank you
That last rainbow cupcake was rad!!
This is the first video I’ve seen on Russian piping nozzles where the designs didn’t look like a mess! You have made them look beautiful and I’m sure the way they are suppose to look. I’m actually interested in trying these out now. Thank you. Also, you have an amazing eye for color.
I loved the orange & pink one.
I finally found the right video!! all the other videos I watched, the person just kept on talking and wasn't clear. this is perfect! thank you!!!
Hello Jemma! I'm Russian, and I watch a lot of Russians using these. I'm not a flower person either, so I'm not sure what anything's supposed to be except the rose and the tulip, which is the one you made in pink and white. For that one, you have to use a really stiff consistency icing to make them twice as long at least. They use them for cakes and roll cakes. In case that helps :) Have a very Merry Christmas! .^_^.
I'm so excited you did a video on Russian piping tips!! I just made a Russian piping tip cake! I love them so much
y ear. .
very very nicecake thank you

Finally! Someone that dyes their leaf color a natural green then some radioactive crap!
Mia Anderson the first time I tried Russian piping tips the shitty food colouring made such neon colours that the roses and leaves all on the cake looked like an old lady vomited on her curtains 🤢
Mia Anderson lol
Sara Dickson don’t say bad words please! :(
She dyed it twice??
Yesss! I learned to add a little purple to green for leaves and light or dark it adds that “olive” ness to it and always looks so real!
Thank you, so much for the demo! An ad for a complete set of these keeps popping up & they had no "demo". As someone else has said, it was so nice on YT to watch a video where you're not being screamed at or your ears & brain burned with fake enthusiasm (like so many vloggers). I have ex-con Martha Stewart's complete set which I bought quite a few years ago at our home in California but these nozzles are levels above Ms Stewart's..........
This is the smoothest I’ve ever seen someone use these pipping nozzles!
Simply fabulous technique and videography. No inane fillers; you just get right to the teaching I want and need. Love that! I’m subscribed; I was hooked by your video on rough puff. I actually use the technique on blind baked pie crust with a lemon curd filling topped with stabilized whipped cream; the whole office team loves it. I get many great techniques from you. Thank you, Jemma.
I never have the best luck with these, but every time I watch one of these, I just want to try them out!
Of all the countless russian tip videos out there, this proved to be the most genuine, smart and useful video. I am glad I saw this before I hit check out on my cart.. :D Great job jemma... I hope my cupcakes turn out as amazing as yours...
These would also be awesome for succulent themed cupcakes! Especially the one at 6:53
Hi Jemma, bought some of these Russian tips a while back and they have been stored away ever since. Watching this video has given me a great understanding on how to use them. Thank you ever so much for this, it really helped x.
Love the way you used the different colors of frosting with the tips! Have to try this technique with my Russian tips too!
I just recently purchased a box of the Russian piping tips from Amazon while they were on the daily special. I'm excited to start using them now that I have watched your video. Thank you for such a perfect demonstration on how to use these wonderful tips.
I got a large set of them a few years ago, the possibilities are endless. Though, as you said, it takes a bit practice at the beginning to get the right consistency of the cream, and also to get the pushing-pressure right. But as soon as you got it, you are the "Goddess of Cakes"! Wonderful video, thanks
Finally someone knows how to properly use these piping tips. Very beautiful thank you for sharing.🙂🍰💜
she’s too good 👌🏻 so easy to follow and learn what she is doing thank you jemma ❤️❤️
So excited to try these out! They are genius! Thanks so much for a brilliant tutorial (as usual!)❤️
This was a real help being able to see how the whole set worked, Jemma, Thanks for sharing.
I am recently interested in decorating the cupcakes. Your videos keep me going forward with this. Thank you for the fun.
I got a set of these piping tips for Christmas. I'm so excited to use them but was not quite sure on the buttercream/how to arrange the colours. This video is perfect in answering those questions so thank you!
Damn Jemma, you're a bloody genius! I have watched a number of videos for these nozles and not one (professional) baker thought to put more than one colour icing in the bag. Your little experiment was a doozy and worked a treat which has made me more inclined to give these a try. Thanks much you clever, clever girl!

Please PLEASE don’t say bad words I don’t like that
Pusheen Yoongi They didn’t use any bad language in their comment. Also, I don’t use profanity either, literally haven’t said a bad word since I was 4 years old and repeated a word someone else said, and I’m now 25 (I’m pretty much the only adult I know who never curses, not even accidentally). I don’t like profanity, which is why I don’t use those words myself, but the majority of people in this world DO use those words freely, and they have the right to use whatever words they choose (no matter how much I wish that nobody would use those words at all). You just can’t expect other people to conform to what you perceive to be right or wrong, as that’s just not how the real world works. If profanity is something that bothers you a lot and upsets you, especially to the degree that you can’t handle reading a bad word someone uses in their RUclips comment, your best option would be to stay off the internet, and I genuinely say that in the nicest way possible. The only person you can control is yourself, which means it is also your own responsibility to protect yourself from things that upset you, whether that means avoiding reading the RUclips comment section, or whether that means avoiding the internet altogether.
Brittany unless you count bloody and damn as cursing. But other than that, I agree wholeheartedly with you
Oh my goodness, my MIND is blown away by your talent. I also really appreciate the videography and relaxing aura that your videos depict. You make it look so simple and beautiful. What an inspirational person! Thanks so much, please make more!!!
They look like little pot plants -- so cute! my favourite is the turquoise and pink.
This is SO nice! One gets carried away by Jemma's enthusiasm.
Just catching this now - five years after you posted. I just bought the tips today as I fancy using them in such a fashion. Your video did it all for me - I needn't look at any more. Well done. You are lovely. Cheers
just had to say, the music and camera movements really made the whole thing seem like a training montage for a bake-off or something, absolutely loved it 😂
I hope it's going to be a success to make this on my daughter's birthday. I bought sets of russian piping tips and it's going to be my very first time to try decorating cupcakes
Arn't these tips just Beautiful. They make the prettiest flowers.
Thank you for the lesson
I have seen quite fake buttercream but I like this a lot 100 %love this recipe
The flower shape is so pretty that I want to try it when I make dessert.👍
My bestie just bought me some. After watching you, I now feel a bit more confident about trying them. Thank you.
I'm Russian to get them
Lauren Douglas- She
Lauren Douglas- Shea good one lol
Haha, we got it. ;-)
Nice one!😂
That's a good one!
Bought my very first one last week. Was skeptical at first, but grew into it. Planning to get the whole set now!
Ive been watching videos here about these russian tips because im so intrigued with them. I am going to get some to play with, they do look like fun. The ball tip ones i havent found a really good video on, all the ones ive seen they are leaving a huge hole in the top of the icing when they pull it away. Im not convinced they are doing it right or something, there has to be a way to use them & not have a crater! Anyway, i enjoyed your video, it is very nicely made & clear. I love how you show the close ups & you can see what is happening. Thanks very much for that! Yours turned out great & i think your was the only one ive seen to ice the cupcake first, which makes a difference!
Jemmy, your piping is absolutely gorgeous! I always enjoy your videos... I do think however, that when you finished, and placed them nicely in a row, perhaps it would've been good if you had also lined up the piping bags next to them so that we could see which nozzle you used... Just a thought. Thanks so much!
Have been thinking about buying some so was glad to see you doing a video!! Thank you for sharing
Yea! I bought some to try but haven’t done it yet. Can’t wait to do it now.
Awesome tutorials, I am an aspiring pastry chef and i love your show. Thank you for inspiring me and others :)
This is bloody genius!! Jemma, you're awesome as always!
So cute. I bought them ages ago but never used them. Thanks.
Beautiful. I have the Russian tips myself. I just didn't know how the add layers of color. Thanks Jemma.
Hi, Jemma! I've baked a lot using your recipes, and everything turned out great. Is there any chance that you can show us how to make devil's food cake? I really want to try it, and you are the only one I trust.
lightbluecowboy ryh
Plz tell me the number of nozzel you use
My great aunt just sent me tons of Russian piping tips that she had, and this really helped me! Thanks
I got them for Christmas and I didn’t know how to use them. Thank you so much I love you G
Jemma ❤️❤️❤️❤️
So beautiful. That would be a great spring dessert. With the pastel colors. ❤️🧡💛💜💚
Absolutely loved the music in this video.. somehow it was soo soothing to listen to and a little retro .. two thumbs up 👍👍
Thank you Jenna. For all of your videos and the way you are teaching ❤️🌹
I like the way you show what tip you are working on at the left bottom corner. Very useful and fun (contradictory? I know ;) ) videos. Thanks.
love how you are all excited and nerdy about this. Missed that
Just bought my first set of these tips. Thanks for this video 😃👍👨🍳
I cannot wait to give this a go and make some beautifully decorated cakes and cup cakes.
Very nice and very useful video! I was confused how to use these tips so I gave it away to my sister who is doing more cake decorating so it will be useful for her. Should buy another set for myself and follow your steps. Many thanks for this beautiful tutorial!
brilliant, was given some but was not sure how to use them, and store bought icing did not work,. Now I'm inspired to experiment. Thank you x
Love this! I was ready to skip trying these, but your technique changed my mind! Thanks!
Thank you Jemma, so totally helpful! Wasn’t certain if this was a throw away product, but they look substantial and something that will make our (collective) baking special. Really appreciate your sharing all the info and your enthusiasm. Sharmila

Ooooh, it's like cakes from my childhood! They look so great!
I love using Russian ball piping tips they make the best cupcakes.
That is one of the prettiest cupcakes I've ever seen!
Jemma your so clever, I’ve had some of those nozzles for about 2 years but rarely used them, didn’t know you could do more than one colour, probably wouldn’t have had confidence to try until I watched your video, I’m definitely going to have a go
Wow thanku for this video, and one thing, Im so fascinated by ur plastic cans, dont know what but it gives me a weird tingle of minimalism
Thanks for sharing. I just got some, can’t wait to try.
love these! i used to use russian piping nozzles all the time when i was a cake decorator - they make such pretty flowers :)
I got sum for christmas. Havent tried them yet but so excited to use them. Im doing my friends wedding cake n cupcakes in sept/october n i think these would be pretty.
Professional, artistic and entertaining. Wow!!! They look like vintage china, Jemma!!! Absolutely breathtaking! Your colours and contrasts are superb too! Thank you!
It would be helpful if the number of the nozzle was stated whenever the nozzle was shown. Thank you for the demonstration! 👍😊
