Do lower ratings hurt on Walmart Spark Delivery?

- Ever since my rating on Spark Delivery dropped, I've always wondered if it truly makes a difference in the grand scheme of things. It's really hard to say at the moment, but eventually I'd like to spark a debate about it and really bring ideas together. I, for one, believe it does, but not in the sense you're thinking.
Customers are stupid period when their house number is faded
Or there’s no numbers lol. I rely heavily on google having a picture of the house and hope they all don’t look the same
Mine went from green 5.0 to orange 4.1 OVERNIGHT!!!!!! A day full of ghetto runs with cases of water on third floor and higher!! Then I find out the customer sees our comments and that affects our ratings
My acceptance rate has dropped to 12 percent. I will not take orders under 12 dollars. Am I wrong?
u still doing delivery?
@@n2cable yes I had my best week ever ended Sunday. Acceptance rate now 6 percent!! Lol
Kat here. My metrics are:
98 on time
0 drop rate
58 acceptance rate
4.3 customer rating
181 total trips
my customer rating is 4.8 and acceptance is 87%. What i have noticed is that they give me mostly shop and delivers with over $20 each. I really wish they would just give me reulat orders . Shop and delivers are exhausting lol
OTA 100%, DR 2%, AR 32%, CR 4.8%. Just started, newbie with 58 trips. Hard to Keep the AR rate up I'm finding that impossible in my zone
I don't even bother with doordash..$6 for what? I would rather wait
I had a customer get upset because i had to id him for spray paint. My Metrics are at a 4.4 i wish i knew what i was doing wrong
Walmart added a store to my area. This store takes almost 30 min to get to. I have asked for a month now to block this store. They still havent blocked it. I even got an email that stated 5-7 for this to take effect. Now because of this store my acceptance rate has gone down. I was at a 94 now I am at an 80. I pretty much will take anything but I am not driving to that store. This really bugs the crap out of me.
I've come across that issue working in the market north of me. There's two stores and they are 20 minutes a part. If you're hovering around the busier store that's one thing, but to be pulled 30 minutes away like that is too much and too far. I'm sorry you have to put up with that.
I had a 3.9 but when I did 15 shopping orders in a row I went up to 4.4. What does that tell you.
That I really hate ratings systems, especially when something out of your control can mess with your earnings, lol
you actually tried for a change
I love shopping orders way more than regular deliveries becuz my zone FLOODS us with batch orders that are garbage. The only thing bad about S&D is when this store is sold out of multiple items. I hate substituting
I have been at 4.7 for months. It never changes up or down.
Mine has been. It's weird and frustrating.
My customer rating is 4.7 and my acceptance hovers between 15-20% (I HATE shop and delivers) and I still get plenty of decent curbsides and GMs.
That's where the money is
I think customers predominantly complain about substitutions. Is it better just to not get any substitution if the customers dont respond? Which by the way customers respond to me maybe 5% of the time if I'm lucky.
when i had an alchohol order that they were out of once. I didnt have to verify id
I think you're wrong about the customer rating. Most customers don't even bother to rate you so it has to hit 50 people rating you not the last 50 orders. So it'll probably take you forever to flush out bad ones and you're probably still get bad ones.
I'm just going by what it says in app about the metrics. "[Ratings] will be calculated as percentages based on your last 50 trips, or the last three months, whichever is sooner."
You could be onto something with that.
I went from 5.0 to 4.1 overnight!!!!!
yep!! and this is why YT videos suck cause of all the bad info that gets passed on
I don't know about the metrics thins. I have really good numbers and green across the board and get really crappy orders.
Do you prefer to get tipped in cash on delivery?
I'm fine with either. Cash tips help keep my money jar full at home (so I can either tip in cash or get cannabis products delivered to the house) while tips in app can actually be used for bills or savings, lol
Does anybody know what the rating system looks like from the customer side? I don't do Walmart home delivery because I'm there all the damn time... I've had really good customer ratings over the months... But I've had some rough deliveries lately and I see my CR going down...
From what I've seen it's just giving your driver a star rating plus any comment you'd like to leave. Nothing too wacky.
I found out today that customer sees whatever comments we leave and they have 2 weeks to rate us
@@shockawha9 I heard that was false
It didn't seem to until the past two updates. Now it's pretty shitty.
I think there’s something else happening because it doesn’t seem like they are pushing as many orders to spark as they used to be
Here are mine
100% on time arrival
0% droprate
36% acceptance rate
4.9 customer ratings
1086 total trips
Customer rating is hard to achieve I been I. This gig game long enough to know how to keep it high. So many other drivers around me get complaints or don't follow Instructions
I still can't figure out where some of my bad ratings came from. The only ones I can think of is something was wrong with the order that's out of my hands, or one of my few shop and delivers didn't yield great results for the customer.
@@Ride980 whenever u sense a bad rating call customer care there were times I knew whi h customer would leave a negative review Nd it been waived
ty for taking the low dollar orders
My customer rating is 100% but acceptance is only 26%. Definitely smaller $$ offers with some exceptions. So whether it's I'm no longer a newbie (2ish mo) and giving those orders to newbies to entice them or my low acceptance rate 🤷🤷🤷🤷 But still making better money than DD, Uber and GH. Love your new look.
What matters at the end of the day is if you're hitting your quota or above. If an order doesn't make financial sense to you, reject and move on :)
Friday, Saturday and Sunday are the money days. In the summer those are really the only days you should work if you care about your hourly rate of gross earnings. Gas prices will be climbing soon due to the pandemic oil reserves the government bought is starting to run out (Trump bought a bunch of barrels of oil when the oil barrels where on tankers and oil was $7 per barrel during the pandemic and that is being resold into our economy now which is why gas prices have gone down). I must say that GH has been on fire lately in my market. They finally improved their dispatch system and no longer send orders out to driver immediately after the customer places it so they are on par with DD and UE for pick up times. Also all Amazon Prime customers get 1 year free GH delivery and many people are taking advantage of it in my market but they are tipping as well so I'm getting a ton of stacked offers with GH and I'm crushing it during peak hours with GH. DD supplements GH but the pay outs per order are smaller due to higher base pay with GH and GH shows 100% of the final payout upfront unlike DD and UE. Plus GH hot bags are premium and free.
I won't use any other bags than my GH bags. Those are the best and I will continue standing by them, lol. I really need to try out Grubhub sometime to see if there are actual deliveries. Last time I tried on a schedule I wasn't making anything. I don't think I've driven a full shift for them in nearly two years.
I feel like if I didn't take weekends off I could easily make a week's worth of pay in 4 days and have extra time to work on the channel. But... I like my weekends off too much. I get a ton of things done :)
So just an interesting observation. You are at 4.7 which is in the "orange" grouping. I am also at a 4.7 but mine is in the "green" grouping. I think that's odd 🤔.
From what I gather it’s because they aren’t showing ratings with tenths. So I’m thinking my rating is a lower 4.7 while yours is a high 4.7. It’s horribly frustrating. Lol
@@Ride980 I would love to say that makes sense but I have quickly learned that nothing about driving for the last 14 months with Walmart spark makes sense. LMFAO 😆 🤣 😂
good video
I doubt your customer rating matters. I'm 5.0 and I see mostly crap all day. Nobody tips before 6pm it seems. All my other metrics are in orange.
I believe the ratings overall matter to an extent. Not so much if your rating is 5.0 or 4.8, but I do believe they go off of what color you're in. HOWEVER, working in a bigger market this last week has shown me I can see where that's coming from. Having a large amount of orders usually negates the ratings as there's enough to go around. In a smaller market such as my home town, any slip of the ratings and you're automatically placed on a second tier for offers.
@@Ride980 Do you have any proof to back up this claim? Instacart outright admits ratings affect your access to batches (well they used to, now it's more about proximity to the store). Would need to see some corporate documentation about this, otherwise it's just as random a conspiracy theory as any other.
Uber took over walmart orders in my area paying way less. Now Spark is basically dead. It sucks.
😮 noooooooo say it isn’t so
@@terrijohnson7199 It's true. They did this with grubhub earlier in the summer and the feedback from the driver's was negative (of course). Walmart orders take much more work/time than a restaurant order.
@@wendicampbell3019 thanks so much for sharing . What state are you located in. I’m in MS. Just curious as to what area you’re in. I really appreciate the info as I am sure it will be beneficial to others as we navigate this gig world.
There have been a lot more orders put onto the other platform we use in my market (point pickup) so I'm hoping eventually walmart will start pushing orders to their own app again.
Bro looks like he's ready to siege Vicksburg
Nah, just out creating a delicious steak sauce
Do you do uber eats or Grub hub?
Yes, but neither are available in my home town.
@@Ride980 really that's interesting! I just started point pick up and I actually watched your video on it still for the life of me it was groceries I didn't know if I had to scan it so I couldn't close it out so a support agent had to do it for me! Could you give me any help how to close out this app? Scan it or whatever it takes lol thanks it would be much appreciated!😊
All my metrics are green but my customer service rating recently dropped to 4.6…does that mean I get less priority in orders?
I believe so, yeah. If you're in a large market I don't think you will feel the sting as bad, but I've noticed a drop off in decent orders as soon as my rating was orange.
my ratings have swyng between 4.6-4.9 and no change what so ever
Love your videos! What happens if someone doesn't tip?? Walmart doesn't pay you anything? Just curious 😁👍👍
If they don't tip, they don't tip. Walmart will offer you base pay but that's it. I always pay attention to the total pay rather than tips and base. If there's a $65 order with no tip and a $50 order with a tip, I'm always taking the highest one (if mileage makes sense). If you don't want to tip, don't tip. Just cross your fingers that base pay is high enough, lol
Man... my metric just went to 3.7 RED customer service. I don't know what the heck I did. But I know all it takes is one bad review and you are messed up.
did you suffer any recourse from it? bet you didnt is my guess
My 4.7 is green
I've come to the conclusion that the ratings include hundredths of a percent that doesn't show in our apps. So yours may be 4.79 while mine is 4.73, putting me in orange. It's very frustrating, lol
@@Ride980 yeah there’s definitely something to it. But no worries I’m down to a 4.6 now and the bish is orange again 🤣🤣
@@OoThereSheGo Odd timing. I'm back down to 4.6 as of today as well. lol
@@Ride980 dang! Spark is on some
Bull
Cut the background music when you're talking!
I mess up with the music in some of the videos.
So good
