I know it's missing door handles and mirrors... I goofed. Design was done rather quickly as I rushed it before a trip but it will be fixed before it is posted to Discord and will be all sorted by the time it's back for the Autopolitan. Also scoreboard is a bit wacky at the end, just full of attention to detail this ep!
I don't know, maybe it's a feature, like when the cyberpunk concept model has no mirrors. Slap an oversized windshield wiper on that bad boy and you're good to go!
"great Scott Marty" "What's wrong doc?" "The entire car is steel and iron, but the unibody is fiberglass!" "You Mean to tell me this car is not only heavy but also flimsy!" "No marty! We lost the unibody going back in time!"
Oh the chassis is a backbone type made of aluminium . Its basically a lotus espirit , which uses the same chassis as the elan . Fun fact , toyota took the elan design and stole it for the 2000gt , and then they bought the delorean rights as reasearch for the MR2 , although its not obvious how much of the MR2 actually used these designs
Ah yes, I remember reading about that a while ago. I remembered seeing videos of it on an assembly line but just couldn't remember what it was exactly. I just had a recollection of it being body on frame so I went with ladder.
Usually searching "(blank car) Chassis" helps to find if it does or not, completely understandable though, just a tip for next time (honestly not trying to be rude, just saying what I do)@@ConsiderGaming
I was weirdly confident on my hazy memory lol. But I feel ladder was the best of the options given the limitations so at least I can sleep soundly this time.
And so he was gone with the wind once again, never to return; for it is not his time. We will miss you with pain in our hearts, but for now... It is GrogTV we will trust. Until you come back; back home.
The interesting thing about the Delorean front wheels are slightly smaller than the rear wheels And there is a company that is currently producing a higher performance version called "the stage 2" in which i think is more of what John wanted the Delorean's performance to be like
Idk why but i am kinda trigerred the car doesn't have mirrors or door handles. Also that hole thing is just an export issue, i had that too with my 1k + HP Opel Corsa C when exporting it.
Ahh I somehow missed the door handles in editing too! I'll fix that before I post it to the Discord. It'll have both those things when it's back for the tournament.
It was designed to have around 200hp but then issues arrised it had put a renault engine in it. It was also originally designed to have a rotary Also emerican specs were absolutely kneecapped in prefromance
Is the time for the okya osäkar supposed to be 1:13:42? Currently the leader board makes no sense. Edit: I checked the original video and the time is correct, so the table is in the wrong order.
Crap did I mess it up there too. I think I set a record for mistakes in this vid lol. I'll address it and fix it for the next one. Thanks for pointing it out.
It's very hard to fix this car. I tried once with a very similar layout to the original, but it was mid engine instead of rear and I somehow made the front end look worse.
hello, could you do a "fixing camaro zl1" kind of video? i mean giving it a massive old tech (like 70's) 8 liter N/A V8 with rpm limit on 5000 rpm and testing it in beamng drive, its not about the power it would make but about that low pitch rumbling sound that (in my opinion) modern muscle cars just dont have anymore
Fun fact, a part of the reason the DeLorean was so expensive was due to John Delorean wasting all his money on cocaine. They also got a bunch of money from the British government, so the British taxpayer helped to partially fund his cocaine habit. The government always uses your tax dollars wisely!😄😄😄
IIRC the Delorean had a backbone chassis similar to the Lotus Elan. That doesn't exist in Automation (along with a dozen other things on my personal wishlist, but I think the functionally closest one would be partial monocoque or space frame. Definitely corrosion-resistant steel since the car was stainless, lol. Wait... Dude... an actual Delorean has double wishbone in the front... With coil-OVERS, meaning the coil spring and the damper are one unit or otherwise mounted in the same place. Not that it has "solid axle coil" suspension, christ on a BIKE, use your eyes n shit. (cast iron block) bruh, it literally says aluminum engine on the spec sheet you showed. Side note, all these Automation videos lately are making me want to reinstall it, but then I'd also have to track down and select mods, too... Fuck...

It does have wipers!
@@ConsiderGaming but It could have one massive wiper instead of two.
It could have I suppose, would have been weird on the windshield tho
“Great Scott Marty”
“What is it Doc?”
“This engine is all cast iron”
“That’s heavy doc”
Best (or worst) pun I’ve ever come up with
I like it
"great Scott Marty"
"What's wrong doc?"
"The entire car is steel and iron, but the unibody is fiberglass!"
"You Mean to tell me this car is not only heavy but also flimsy!"
"No marty! We lost the unibody going back in time!"
6:00 That is a true face of absolute disgust on how that engine turned out.
Truly meme worthy.
It was popping so much lmao
Where we came from, we definitely needed roads.
Also mirrors. You missed the mirrors.
Yeah yeah I realized that after the fact lmao. I'm gonna fix it and upload it to the Discord a bit delayed
to build a better delorean, the company CEO has to smuggle less (or more, depending on your perspective) drugs than john delorean
ceo was deemed not guilty (according to gran turismo PSP dmc-12 S2 data)

Wasn't he straight up framed with it?
@@nicktallfox5266 he was, hoffman tried to entrap him
Hell yeah. That came out extremely well.
Now it's time to make a modern one.
Actually have had one sketched out for years on paper. Might make it for next season now that this one established the brand.
such musical talent in the intro. truly brings a tear to the eye
I have been practicing since I was but a wee child

>-< , this kind of shape
Also the PRV V6 used was all aluminium

4 am here, eyes were literally just about to close. Was doing that heavy flutter, but i guess a few more minutes won't kill
Thank you for your sacrifice
Where has bro gone?😐
And so he was gone with the wind once again, never to return; for it is not his time. We will miss you with pain in our hearts, but for now... It is GrogTV we will trust. Until you come back; back home.
Considering how slow the DeLorean was, I think you should probably call it the DAF DeLorean.
The interesting thing about the Delorean front wheels are slightly smaller than the rear wheels
And there is a company that is currently producing a higher performance version called "the stage 2" in which i think is more of what John wanted the Delorean's performance to be like
And he's gone again...
What happened to the auto Olympics series

not the "Cars" eyes popping up after you jump on the hood, tf
I can't unsee it now
22:33 - Anyone else seeing Static Electricity McJester staring at Consider? XD
Damn bro is underrated
The DMC DeLorean is so slow, might as well call it the DMV DeLorean.
Im binge watching your channel. It's helping me through a tough time. Thank you for your videos ❤
Partial Aluminum would be historically correct.
In re designing the DeLorean the first thing to go into the trash would be the PRV v6.
Where did you go
Finally now make a better commiturismo
Yeah yeah
If I recall I think the DeLorean had a fiberglass monocoque with the steel panels glued to it
It was designed to have around 200hp but then issues arrised it had put a renault engine in it.
It was also originally designed to have a rotary
Also emerican specs were absolutely kneecapped in prefromance
Also It sat on a lotus esprit chassis
Ty for the automation vid baby ❤
yw
The Delorean DMC 12 did have a turbo option from the factory so you could turbo the delores if you wanted to lol
A better chassis would have been the space frame as that’s closer to the original DeLorean construction
I wanna see you do a full playthough whatever difficulty but a fresh company
Hold the hell up. The gas port is in the hood!? I’m glad this thing failed now.
This body is giving AMC eagle sx4 vibes.
If you do another car brand might I suggest Schroef (it would be the off brand Spyker, since that means nail in Dutch, Schroef would be screw 😅😂)
Wasn't the DMC-1 aluminum block and heads?
It was a PRV v6 so yeah it was. Admittedly I didn't bother verifying the material beforehand so I erred on the cheap side.
Is the time for the okya osäkar supposed to be 1:13:42? Currently the leader board makes no sense.

Beam mods list?
Ah I need to start adding that info on. Main maps used are Lime Rock and Cyberpunk Map.
Awesome
Good video! How do u rewind in Beam?
if youre on controller its left on the d-pad

My favourite car, the cybertruck coupe!
You forgot the side mirrors!!! D:
Should make a version that looks like the DeLorean from Back to the Future, with all the wires and crap on it lol
I thought about it, then realized it would take hours lol
aw yiss
It was a monocoque chassis
Backbone it seems, as I was reminded by another commenter. I think ladder would be about as close as Automation offers.
Fun fact, a part of the reason the DeLorean was so expensive was due to John Delorean wasting all his money on cocaine. Bro forgot the mirrors twice 💀💀💀
It's left me in shame. I'll fix it for the tourney tho lol
Make a racing version make a video out of it!
Now build a better toyota truck from the movie and maybe the eagle wags in the movie? Of back to the past of course
Guess you’ve quit the channel, shame really enjoying your vids
