Hi time:ritual, here is EPICA's Sci-fi masterpiece, a song about the machines taking over the world, a great example of just how different EPICA are from other bands, This video is one of the coolest things they have done 🙃 EPICA - Universal Death Squad (OFFICIAL LYRIC VIDEO)
Hi, here is EPICA's Sci-fi masterpiece, a unique song, it shows just how different they are from other bands this video is one of the coolest things they have done 🙃 EPICA - Universal Death Squad (OFFICIAL LYRIC VIDEO)
Epica is truly a class act-glad you’re enjoying them! I will say, I think the choral vocals are more likely part of the backing track along with the orchestra. There’s actually a cool performance of this from their older Retrospect concert where they have live accompaniment that’s really cool! As for your next picks, there’s tons of options! As always, I think everyone will agree that continuing with the live shows is best, because they’re just SO good, but if you do want a look at their music videos, I’d recommend The Skeleton Key (a very theatrical masterpiece) or Abyss of Time (where you really get to see the interplay of harsh and clean vocals). If you’re interested in hearing one of their ballads (and more of Simone’s gorgeous high vocals), another great one from AFAS Live is Rivers, where they’re accompanied by Apocalyptica. It’s haunting. Some other ones I highly recommend are Cry For the Moon and Victims of Contingency from Omega Alive, an online concert they did during the pandemic. Cry For the Moon is a really important song because it was their first, and this version gives you a little bit of a special look at it. Victims of Contingency is one of their heavier songs and has some really cool effects in this performance. Another great concert to check out is 2023 Pol’and’Rock, which they’ve uploaded the whole performance from on their RUclips channel! I really love their performances of The Obsessive Devotion and Code of Life because Simone is SO on point and there’s just a lot of funny interactions between the band. Looking forward to your journey! Oh, and please introduce your cat :)
Hey man. Great reaction. Before you continue, you should check this same song but from “Retrospect” show. I promise, you wont regret it and happy to see your reaction to it =) I posted a lot of recommendations to follow this EPICA journey in your first reaction (Consign to Oblivion). Cheers!
Epica is another level. Much more than tradicional symphonic metal… and this drummer is the best of their style, certainly… any elements of melodic death in many songs. Highly recommend Victims of contingency or kingdom of heaven from omega alive next. Breakdowns, very executed transitions, heavy and melodic in the same time….
They do that with me all the time. Don’t send a link, and just write the title and the event, even that will be deleted sometimes, then you can change the spelling a bit like an @ for a or an ! for i. And yes it’s frustrating.
@@watchtheskies I see both of your posts about Universal Death Squad. YT is trash these days... If your post seems like it disappeared within seconds, just try a refresh after 10-15 minutes and the post may actually be there.
Had some issues with my mic in the first part of the video. Sorry about that, looking it what caused it.
That sometimes happens to those who don't do enough reactions to Epica :)
Great to see you enjoying Epica so much. You will enjoy the rest of their music.
Thanks.
They are awesome, I look forward to more from them!
Love the band, looking forward to more reactions 😃.
Definitely expect more reactions soon!

Yup the Retrospect version has live orchestra and choir, it's epic, epic, epic.

Hi, I have tried to make a suggestion for another song twice in the comments, but within seconds YT deletes them, very frustrating!

That’s strange, it’s definitely not me. Just type it out, no link

@Divide_et_lmpera
I know, it's bizarre, two days later they both show up, maybe they changed something in the algorithm?
