The song comes from the 2008 album "01011001", which translates to the letter "Y". The Planet Y /Forever story that "The Source" is a prequel to. Marko is singing the part recorded by Bob Catley (Magnum). Song #4 of 28 here at the Ayreon Universe show. You saw Jeroen Goossens on flute and Maaike Peterse on cello in the video for The Day That The World Breaks Down.
Thank you so much, my friend for this dedication. This is one of my favorite songs, with two of my very favorite singers and music that makes you smile. Of course I look at almost every video you react to. You're an excellent teacher, Bill, and heaven knows I have a lot to learn. Besides, I learned very early that one of the best non-monitary ways you can support a channel that you love is to like and comment so I try to do that, even if my comment may be something so generic as "Oh, that was lovely." Nightwish, and Marko in particular, will always be my favorites but I have learned so much from listening to your comments.
You support with comments and likes and every way there is. It's all about giving back, so I wanted to dedicate a song that I knew would make you happy. It sure made me happy too! I, and speaking for Nancy, appreciate your support and more importantly, your friendship! ❤️❤️
One of my top 5 favorite songs on that concert (The only blu-ray disc, I have many, that sits in my player ready to Blast). River of Time is the fifth song on the second disc of 01011001 and the thirteenth song of the entire album. so, on on stage here: Ed Warby - drums Johan van Stratum - bass Marcel Coenen - lead guitar Ferry Duijsens - guitar Sir - Joost van den Broek - keyboards Maaike Peterse - Cello Jeroen Goossens - flute Ben Mathot - violin Great Reaction my friend !!!! NWSU/FloorFan/Epican/Ayreonaut ✌🤓🤘
Thank you so much Tim, my brother! Thanks for the info also.... This was soooo great! I might put it into my top 5 as well.... as I said in the video my fav. is still "Everybody dies " live lol ... 2nd is definitely ( so far cause I have not heard all yet lol ) is " Condemned To Live " .... Much love to ya my friend 🤘🤘🤘
Omg, Hansi, Marko, all the instruments, I love this song so much, I clicked at this video very quickly haha. Thank you for this video. Hahaha you noticed Hansi's random stern looks into the audience.
With Ayreon it is the same as with Nightwish.....they don't do bad songs. And with both projects/ bands: you can listen to their songs a thousand times.... They never get me bored. It is amazing.
I think Ayreon is creative genius! There's nothing formulaic or routine about their music! There's always an eclectic collection of instruments and styles and an interesting collection of vocalists. Ever since I saw the Electric Castle series of songs with John de Lancie narrating I was hooked. It was a magical journey through time.
I have to admit something right now: I was once a big Trekkie. It's true. I went to a bunch of conventions and got to meet John De Lancie once. Honestly, he seemed rather aloof compared to the others that were there. But who didn't love him as Q! I also agree, Arjien is a genius! A brilliant composer!
@@BemusingBill Cool you got to meet him, despite his aloofness! From Q on the last episode of STNG: "You just don't get it, do you, Jean-Luc? The trial never ends."
The Ayreon Universe show could be a different track (the live track 😁) The order there is not that important although is preferred since they start to introduce new vocalists song by song
You should check out Rebellion by Grave Digger, (feat. Hansi and Van Canto). Live at Wacken ruclips.net/video/PbzSWcRM9u0/видео.html . Just an aside, Hansi is sporting a kilt in this song.

Good to see you back on Ayreon. I absolutely don't mind if you throw in a random song from the Universe show.

That's all true. A sign of high quality, memorable artistry that is timeless and connects with the soul. Both bands/projects produce masterpieces.
