We must never forget the genius songwriting of Bob Gaudio. The Four Season sold hundreds of millions of albums for two reasons - Frankie Valli and Bob Gaudio. Bob is never mentioned in the conversation of greatest songwriters of all time - he should be. God bless Frankie as he nears 90.
Don’t forget Bob Crewe, producer and great lyricist. Gaudio is a genius no doubt.
Something special about songs like this that don’t follow the typical song where one person sings verse chorus verse chorus bridge chorus. Another great band that has a variety of singers, “the band”
The structure of this song is super weird in that regard, hard to tell what part is what. I love it.

Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons are true legends! Im a former DJ in Canada and this is my favorite song. If Frankie Valli were to come to Ottawa, I would get front row tickets and hopefully shake his hand and say thank you for your music.
I just saw Frankie Valli in person back in July of this year. It was such a great concert. I had so much fun. He is still going strong at 88 years old. GO FRANKIE VALLI GO.

"Oh What A Night" is a song by The Four Seasons, released in December 1975. The song was written by Bob Gaudio and Judy Parker and produced by Gaudio. It became a big hit for the group, reaching number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in March 1976.
The song is a nostalgic look back at a memorable night in December 1963, when I met Nancy Madsen who left a lasting impression on me. The lyrics describe the excitement and anticipation of that evening, as well as the lingering memories of the Nancy who captured the my heart.
The catchy melody and upbeat tempo of "Oh What A Night" have made it a classic of the disco era, and it continues to be a popular party song to this day.

Nah, The Beatles or The Beach Boys, but The Four Seasons had an incredible singles output and legacy and this performance was admittedly stunning

Another Valli Seasons Classic, December 1963 Oh What a Night. Had the pleasure of seeing Valli and his Four Seasons Band July of this year, and this man knows how to put on a show. The entire sold out venue was on their feet throughout most of the concert and gave Mr. Valli a standing ovation that would have brought tears to your eyes on how Mr. Valli was so humble well bowing for his fans.

His name was Gerry Polci. He was the drummer. I was the recording engineer that was on the original recording.
@@stevem6869 Gerry was the one singing the original recording, yes. But he is not who is singing here in this performance, that would be Tim Stone. Beautiful voice !
@stevem6869 I have a question for you - in the original music video, at one point you can see everyone smiling/chuckling. Did Gerry mess up the note he was singing or something along those lines?
