There’s so many parts of America that I honestly had no idea about until
I watched Traveling Robert
So many places I would never have experienced without Robert! It's like sitting in the front seat with you... humming your tunes along the way.
Haahaa The donkeys love you Robert! Of course.
Who else is looking forward to a full RV cooking video from Robert? 😀 🌯🍜🍲🍺🍾🍽
Deserts are my favorite too. Glad you're living life to the fullest and getting out there! Another solidly produced and narrated video!
I used to live in Havasu that place was a trip. most places residentially that were more closer into the mountainside in which it was built on, didn't have sidewalks or even street lights. but that place holds a special place in my heart. I recommend visiting. I loved it.
It gets crazy in the Summer. Only worth putting up with the weather if you own a nice boat.
Love your videos fantastic work love the location
Just added Lake Havasu to my list. Looks like a nice place to stay a couple of days. Great video as always! Thank you!
Robert, We have camped at Lake Havasu State Park in the Winter ..Sites right on the water..cold in the winter.....Beautiful. Thanks for this wonderful scenic tour....😎
I swear with how you edit these things, I wish you were on the Travel Network. You outrival those shows on there. Or I wish Netflix picked you up and you can do a whole travel show there. Big ambitions for you! Thank you for all you do from New York City
Thanks!
Gooooood morning Robert! We enjoyed your new video a lot. Happy Easter! Have a great day. 😎🌴👍
Felt like I was there! Thanks for sharing some amazing footage!
Looks like a great way to spend the winter
Always good to see where I am going when I retire. Thanks Robert.
That must have been so much fun driving down the beach and trail. The cave shot from inside was great. What a life.
Great video. Almost makes me wish I were there. Oh wait...I live in Havasu! ;)
You were always a sharp cookie dollface.
Deja vu all over again ! Thank you. We did the exact same route. But we started in Kingman and went the opposite direction. Spent 2 weeks in the Kingman area while exploring AZ. The ferry to the CA casino was free back then.
I would have loved to spend a little more time in the area
I went to Lake Havasu in 1972 and remember seeing London Bridge. I also remember when I read a a magazine about the guys who bought London Bridge and had it transported to Lake Havasu. I don't have any photos of L.H. of 1972 but I do remember it was sparsely populated. Only a few home scattered around the area. I haven't been there since even though I live in Southern California.
We made a Route 66 road trip, I wish I would have seen this video before we left, thought we saw a lot but now we realize we missed many interesting places. You just got a new subscriber, I’m lucky to have run across your site!
Lived in Arizona 18 lovely quiet years. Like paradise amazing ladscape and sunsets sunrises. Not for the city folk. Relaxing environment..
Thanks for another great episode of your travel.
I took that trip in 2006. I didn't have a drone then. You have very nice drone views. Thanks for the trip.
The Desert Bar is worth visiting while in the area.
Yes, we did. Rough road but totally worth it.
Cool Springs gas station, with outhouses behind it, was in full service 70 years ago when my parents were children. Took my now elderly parents there recently and they can remember it like it was yesterday. They also remember their folks having to carry a whole lot of extra water in their cars because the engines would overheat on the hills. They'd have to stop and cool the engines before started onward and upward again. Cool Springs, and several of the desert monuments around it, are the actual inspirations for Radiator Springs and the desert valley setting in the Disney movie "Cars".
Loved this video and all of yours but really love Arizona and the history of the old west. Hello from Vermont
Beautiful mother nature.
Thanks, Robert, for the trip! I miss the road from Phoenix back to I-40 and on into Kingman! I retired from trucking in 2015, after 38 years, and, DID get to see the highway get transformed into 4-lane most of the way. When I go full time living on the road soon I can't wait to revisit...and, also see Laughlin once again. I always enjoyed Laughlin much more than Vegas! Be safe, stay happy, love God, and, I'll see you down the road!
I really liked Oatman for some reason, even tho it's kinda touristy, the actual place was just unique, quaint and I LOVED the drive on the way to Kingman in the mountains, all around great trip!
I took the long route, starting in Lake Havasu and traveled up to Oatman, kingman, flagstaff and then on to Zion national park in 2020, all thanks to YOU Robert! I saw your video on Zion and was totally mesmerized! And, I, too love that type of cactus, it's so photogenic, I take pics of those all around AZ (I live in Phoenix). Now, for Christmas, cuz usually Lake Havasu and that area around the bridge are lit up for Christmas, so that's where I'm going. Thinking of going back to Oatman because last time, I only drove thru, but it's gonna be Christmas, so that's kinda weird lol...but he, I figure if I can't celebrate with others, might as well enjoy myself and travel!
Awesome video. The Route 66 segment was very interesting
Thanks!
Been to Lauglin and Oatman. Did a Vegas to Laughlin trip drove to Oatman. Haven't been to Lake Havasu. I'll be sure to take a trip to Lake Havasu and swing by Laughlin again. Seen Oatman once. That's a one and done trip. We ate at the bar. Decent burgers. Nice video as always.
Great fun ! Your travels in the west, desert, mountains, ghost towns and burros are the best. I missed watching your cooking in the RV, always fun to see food prepared in the RV segments.
This is an ideal campground to break out a FOLDING RECUMBENT TADPOLE TRIKE like the HP Velotechnik Scorpion PLUS and explore to your hearts content.
The entire length of the places you showed here would be perfect to tour on a recumbent trike.
The AZUB Ti - Fly, the Catrike Dumont, and the TRIOT Trikes would be excellent as well.
Lake Havasu is pretty & nice to see along with the London Bridge. It can be dead quiet or crazy during Spring break or anything in between. Other than London Bridge, there isn't much to see unless you go for a boat ride like Robert did. Oatman, AZ is a hoot and definately worth the stop. Be sure to stop at a grocery store before you get there and pick up a few bags of carrots for the burros. Otherwise, if you want to feed them, stores sell feed but it adds up. BTW, all of the burros have names and technically are wild but are watched by the locals and shop owners. Also, Clarke Gable got married to Carol Lombard and spent a night or 2 at the Oatman Hotel. In the past, you could walk upstairs and see their room. Go for a drink at the Oatman hotel -cool old place... Sitgeaves Pass stopping point is absolutely breathtaking when you see it in person. Also, right around there there is a Shaffer Spring goldfish bowl....you will see goldfish in the middle of the desert. Google it!! This area is one of my most favorite road trips. Thanks for bringing back good memories, Robert.
Carrots are bad for wild animals----too much sugar....... Get a bag of alfalfa cubes before you leave home to be prepared
for your whole trip to all states
That was so much fun! I think you're a natural for this vlogging stuff and you have a great voice! Thank you for sharing Arizona and a little bit of Laughlin!
My new favorite travel channel. I’m lived in AZ for 30 years but never heard of Oatman. That was fun.
I visited this area in 2016 for the Laughlin River Run motorcycle rally. We stayed in Needles, CA at Pirate Cove. Saw many of the same things, I would recommend checking out Topock if you ever get back there. It's unique.
Ok. I've added Topock to the list. Thank you
I LOVE all of these video! This is for sure on my bucket list. The views are AMAZING! Thanks for taking us a long.
Good watch as always. The phone boxes aren't from Dr. Who though. Dr. Who has a blue police box 😊
She's right, they're police phone boxes and they're blue.

You gaved me travel ideas thank you!
I didn't know Havasu, kingsmen and Oatman existed.
Great video! When I was younger I took all those trips and when I look at these videos I realize how nuts I was. I drove to California from New Jersey with $ 700 up to San Francisco down to Tijuana. If I had broken down I was screwed. Slept in the desert. I did that trip 3 times always broke. Had over 100000 miles on my car.
Music great. Views spectacular!
Your visits to Arizona and the Southwest are fun to watch. Looking forward to you returning there again in the future. I managed to make a quick visit to Quartzite a few weeks ago all just because of your videos shot there.
Hi Robert and wife - We were in Oatman at the end of March, we came in the way you are leaving the town and it was scary! I am sorry to say that we missed the London Bridge. Definitively we will have to do another trip to visit the LB. Thank you for sharing!
Old Rt 66 from Kingman to Oatman is a breath taking trip. Narrow road, hairpin turns and no guard rails. There are some old cars from the 1930/40's still visible at the bottom of some of the deeper canyons.
Lived there twice lol. Loved it, was nice just couldn't find steady work. June to September is unbelievably hot
Great video and a plus with your Ariel drone footage.
Thanks!
Too bad you didn’t make it to Williams, AZ. Great little town with the railroad trip to Grand Canyon. Also a great restaurant with tons of different pies that could be a meal by themselves. The kids movie “Cars” featured a lot of the buildings. Safe travels!!
In lake havasu for the winter awesome place and awesome vid!
Oatman is a cute little town, been there a few times, lots of tourist, like the donkeys, friendly place to visit 😊
Thanks!
I always wanted to see lake havasu. I'm originally from San diego and all my friends partied there.
We have stayed at that RV park for Spring Break and they included a slip for our boat. Very nice but pretty close quarters.
Traveling Robert is the best on RUclips! Thank you very much Robert 👍😎
Being an Arizona native glad you enjoyed our state! Been to many of the places you’ve shown. Love Havasu and old Route 66, visit there at least once a year in the fall when it’s a bit cooler. Love your videos, subscribed‼️
Can't wait for summer love Laughlin
Actually, this is the 2nd London Bridge if I recall, and to relocate it from London to Arizona, they actually "shaved" the blocks, and the blocks are only about 2" thick. The core of the bridge is made up of steel & cement, and the shaved blocks were put on the outside. Great video!
Thank you! Shaved huh, you mean they lied to us? :-)
@@TravelingRobert - Well, it really is the London Bridge in all of its glory, but I guess that it wouldn't have been monetarily possible to move all of that stone, so they went with the alternative plan.
Another great RV travel video Robert. Because of your recommendation, I just added that area to my future travel plans. Thanks for input.
Thank you!
@@TravelingRobert I got lucky and was able to reserve a site for 6 nights at Bahia Honda state park in May. In your honor, I will honk horn and flash my lights as I pass Miami on my way to the Florida Keys. I have been trying for over five years to stay at Bahia Honda. In the past I camped at Long Key SP and at Boyd's.
One of these days I'll get to stay at Bahia Honda... again
I live in Kingman. There is so much more to see than just one motel.
HUGE FAN of the roadrunner!
💕Enjoying... Always a pleasure!👏🏽
Thank you.
Loving all your videos Robert! The contraption you couldn't open (16:35) is called a "Sanitary Car". It was what miners used as a toilet when working underground in the mines. (My ancestors used to work the mines in Bisbee, AZ.) Thank you for all the work you put into the vids! perfect for those of us with the travel bug who must stay in during this time. :^)
Thanks! Happy Easter!
If not the best video of you i've watched, thank you and have a great day:)
Thank you!
Great vlog Senôr. As an Englishman who emigrated here 13 years ago, I went to visit the Lake Havasu London Bridge last year, it felt a lot like London during the summer on a Sunday afternoon. I liked Lake Havasu as well, it’s a nice resort town.
Very interesting to watch, i live in Kingman AZ, you missed one of the best things about Kingman - the Hualapai Mountains, rv parking, trails, a lodge motel, and beautiful views, with Pines all around
Excellent video I have this trip on my list for sure
Thanks!
Always love watching your videos.
In Kingman, AZ, Floyd's Wood-fired Pizza on Beal St. is wonderful. They have one size of pizza but different types. They also have good house salads (Italian with pepperoni and mozzarella and olives with the salad greens and tomatoes). I also recommend going for breakfast to Grandpa's Kitchen on Northern Ave. which has big portions and inexpensive prices (there is a $4.99 special). I have not yet been to Oatman or to Lake Havasu but have been to Bullhead City a few times. The portion of Route 66 (Andy Devine in Kingman) between Kingman and Seligman, AZ is wonderful! Worth a drive. Gorgeous scenic views.
In Lake Havasu City, I enjoy fast food at the chain place called "El Pollo Loco" for marinated roast chicken cooked over coals. For nature, the Bill Williams River National Wildlife Refuge and the Optimist Park (city park) beach.
Wish u would have shown more of Bullhead City,a mostly retirement community. Maybe next time. Enjoy your videos. Happy Motoring!
Riding.... another good adventure.
Just awesome, I really enjoy your videos and that’s coming from someone who doesn’t RV, I’m looking forward to the next one.
Awesome video! Really makes me want to buy my RV and head to Arizona.
Brought back some old memories, as I used to live in Laughlin , for twelve years. I worked in the Table Games Department , at the Riverside Hotel. As always, great Vlog. You are the best Safe travels
Thank you!
16:46 - "Why hello there," in the nicest, welcoming voice. Then immediately after, "What are you doing?" In a oh-gosh tone. Haha!
Sure is different now with the Casino’s in Laughlin. I love LHC, there are so many places to eat there most people don’t know about until you visit a few times. Spring & Fall best time to be there 😎
Now? Those casinos have been there for more than 30 years.
I stayed at Lake Havasu State Park in December. Right on the river within walking distance of the bridge. Enjoyed that town. Also went to Oatman and the donkeys tried to bite the camera lens. They got a little aggressive trying to get the food I was holding for them. Very nice video.
Your videos continue to top-level! Continue upward sir.
I remember camping w/ my parents & neighbors way back in the 60s.fuull hookups & a nice spot was maybe 6-12$ a night.now for 75$ it's as much as decent hotel room w/ breakfast & cable. I guess it's a sign of the times & anouther reason why i don't pull a trailer or drive an RV.not to mention wear &tear & gas milage.but it's fun to watch your videos Robert.
There are lots of free places to camp in that area.
Gotta say as a native Nevadan, major respect for pronouncing the state correctly hahaha. Great video!
On the weekends they have a old west group that likes to reenact gun fights in the middle of the street it’s pretty cool the watch they use real black powder pistols with blanks in them
I’ve never been to Arizona so I’m really enjoying your travels. Appears boat tours might be available on Lake Havasu; nice...🚣♀️
Always amazing your videos thank very much Robert!!!!!!!!!GRACIAS
that gas station at cool springs looked familiar, looked it up and it was the set for part of universal soldier, the part where he gets the tracking cut out from his leg
Great video as always !
Great video,! My husband and brothers go riding through those places you visited on the Laughlin River Run bike week. Hope you got your kicks on Route 66 : - )
Hi Robert - husband and I just love your video’s. You do such a great job with your video, music and narration! Just wanted to let you know about that metal cart thing you looked at and tried to open on the sidewalk at Oatman. That is what is referred to as the “honey pot”. This cart was used in the mines as a bathroom for the workers. (Glad you didn’t open it now, aren’t you?!) It was quite common for the honey pot pushers to steal gold out of the mines as they transported the waste in and out of the mines multiple times of the day. Who’s gonna’ check that out? It was an easy (but nasty) way to steal the gold. Happy Trails to you! Just Jodi in AZ
Didn't know that, thank you
Another top knotch video, love those little artsy type towns, they have character.
Thank you!
I Love these videos, I've watched over a week of them.... AWESOME ..!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.....Thank you Robert...... I'm a Robert too. LOL.
I walked across the London Bridge just after it was built! I also saw it before it’s completion as well as giant tractors pushing sand around to make the torn! The guy that bought THEM LONDON BRIDGE’ thought he was buying THEM TOWER BRIDGE’ Rude Surprise!
Hi from Allen and Brenda from canada nice Have a good day and night
In Laughlin, you should have rode the Colorado Belle at night, it's beautiful.
We were kind of tired. We had to save something for next time :-)
Burros? London Bridge? What fun ❤
Great episode as always, but I was kind of hoping you would show more of the town of Havasu. Do you have another episode focusing on that?
great job as always happy trails
Thank you
One thing to beware of in Oatman if you have a dog, do not take you dog into town with you, they see all dogs as wolves or coyotes and attack. The woman in front of us was walking her dog and donkey ran across the street to attack, she made the mistake of trying to stop it, she ended up in an ambulance with several serious bites. I picked up my dog and put it under my shirt and headed for RV.
that was awesome! "Wouldn't it be cool if a London double decker bus went over the bridge right....now....." tourbus
Robert: check out Lead and Deadwood, South Dakota, and also the rest of the Black Hills. Lead is also a gold mining town.
Very nice vedio.been in this areas(I live close to bullhead city)but I'm always curious how it look like by drone shot.im glad ived found your chanel.im a new subscriber now.keep us posted. Very nice music, audio, drone shot.awesome editing
The tank with lids that you tried to open at Oatman is an old time mining toilet! I have seen similar at Bisbee Arizona!
Mining toilet huh.... now I know
@@TravelingRobert Looked more like a wood burning cook stove to me...The lids are the "burner" plates that open to add more wood. Grandma had one at her lake cottage in UP Michigan.
Yes, a toilet for the miners way back in the day. I was just disappointed that he did not take the time to find out what it was and share to the viewers so those that want to know, would...!
@@bobpeg7457 Not a cook stove. For sure a mining toilet for the miners way bay in the day!
@@noniehayes6050 Went back and looked at it again. Yes, you are right. It is a mining "honey bucket".
Neat cutaway at the phone booth!
