After watching this am I went out to fish a small new lake a friend and local entrepreneur is opening with cabins and offered me to fish it , I went with the method feeder and pellet with added boilie crush and mainline 10mm wafters on a 14 qm1 4" bayonet ready rig . Caught from start and 2 fish later from 4 to 7 lb commons and mirrors all nailed in bottom lip or just in scissors. Total confidence in guru tackle .

I bought this 11 ft rod yesterday. I'm very pleased with it. It has a wonderful action and the materials used are top notch. Unfortunally it is a long rod and it doesn't fit in my regular rod holder... I saw that Guru makes a nice big rod holder that will protect these lovely rods. For now I'm trying to learn the method feeder tactics because I'm still an old school feeder fisherman who is used to traditional cage feeders.

Great video and enjoy using the method. Love the guru feeders etc but have had a few of the elasticated stems snap playing fish.

Brilliant set of videos. I just treated myself to a 9ft N-Gauge Feeder, and it is an incredible bit of kit! Looking forward to using it more and learning about the world of feeder fishing!

is that Makins by chance?, i'm looking for new venues to go that are friendly towards pleasure anglers as i keep coming across commercial venues that i really like the looks of - but they don't really want to cater for pleasure anglers (Been turned away from places like Lindholme multiple times because they've supposedly matched the entire venue leaving nothing for please fishing.

Even if it’s not makins is a cracking venue for pleasure anglers...I’ve never fished a match in my life but always go back to makins time and again...lake 5 casting up to the island and landing some upper doubles. Friendly staff too!

Yes this is Makins fishery! The beauty of the fishery is they have 3 separate phases with lots of lakes on each phase!! This is lake 2 on Phase 1 👊

So if you fish to an island and you've clipped up, I get a fish can only go left or right, but if it goes on a mad run, what do you do? Surely you'll snap off still being clipped up?

If you do your pellets at home before you set off!!
Can't the fish tell its not right and shy of the bait?
