I used Ubuntu server 20.04.3 long-term support (LTS), which supports Raspberry Pi 3, 4 and 400 on the 64-bit version, and an old Raspberry Pi 3 Model B revision 1.2 that I had lying around.
I am going to mine Duino-Coin, which is a coin that can be mined with an array of technologies, including Arduinos ESP8266/32 boards, Raspberry Pis and computers, as well asWi-Fi routers, smart TVs, smartphones, smartwatches, single-board computers (SBCs), microcontroller units (MCUs) and graphics processing units (GPUs).

Manufactured in the USA by legendary GekkoScience (Sidehack). Currently the most efficient USB miner ever manufactured. The NEWPAC Compac features 2 Bitmain BM1387 chips (this is the same chip as in the Bitmain S5). The stock clock setting is 100MHz for 23GH. The possible frequency values range from 100MHz to 600MHz, which generates speeds from 23GH to 130GH. Please make sure you provide extra cooling (table fan, usb fan, etc) when running the miner because these can get very hot (especially when running over 100 MHz frequency)
you will break even in about a billion years
2gh/s is about 1cent a year so you acualy never brake even you just lose more money over time
if you don't count power usage
For those who don't want to wait:
He earned $0
Its literally under 1 minute video wtf

Thx bro
Bc nicehash is a scam
The ones making the most during the gold rush, were the people selling the shovels..
@ ok boomer
makes sense
Not so true. Asic miners are a 1 time sell. They can cost around 4k USD i believe... but huge bitcoin mining facilities generate several bitcoin a day easily and can cover the cheap electricity costs.
True 😂
"Then we're gonna go ahead and kick off the minor"
🤨
🤨
...that would reduce household costs thus saving you money...
bro said “MINORS!!!!!!!!”
So you’re the reason I can’t get any new raspberry pis
No..? The mining isn’t done on the pi, it’s done on the usb asic.
@@OctoomyYTOfficial it is
@@oneslap01 Even though it isn't? If you would've watched the video you would hear him say he is using a usb stick that basically has a part of a larger unit. all mining is going through that device, not the pi, the pi is simply just feeding it data to use.
Kubernetes. I'm buying pi 4s like 4-6 at a time.
@@OctoomyYTOfficial let me correct
Yes it is not on pi it's on usb stick
In the early days a small farm of these used to make me about 68 dollars a week , now as the complexit/difficulty has increased you need some good hardware that can manage a pretty good hash rate. You're pretty much better off buying it unless you're willing to invest in some serious hardware.
Nah first orders of the jalapeno from BFL making that in a day 😂 ahhhh that was the life 5Ghs at 100watts
Used to be 50btc per day on laptop. I wish I knew….
we would make a lot more with the new hardware we have today
@@5ft_11insource 💀💀
@@TheyTookStrawb literally use your brain, with hardware we have today it wouldnt even be comparable if it was used back then
@@nbgdemon7967 that's not the reason tho lmao
@@TheyTookStrawb i don’t think i have to link to a paper about how computers from a decade ago are slower than the computers we have today. i also implied that the new hardware was mining the same coin with the same algorithm.
Imagine beeing one of those people that bought Pizza for 280BTC in 2010. Definitly not me.
"A tidy desk is a sign of a tiny mind. "
You know what, I am going to judge your desk. It looks exactly like mine, a clean mess.
Thing that bugs me the most about this is that you're running this as root
@@spoopysounds
to lose the money you didnt make ;)
as soon as i saw the raspberry pi i instantly said "0 dollars"
In the time it took you to record yourself saying don't judge me on the junk on my table you could have rerecorded a shot of the table but clear. This comment I've written took longer to write that if I had just skipped the video
This USB might have been worth getting, back in 2010. Now unless you have some really beefy stuff, not even worth wasting your money on it.
Edit: back when I had my S9 antminers, the two I had running gave around 300k Satoshi's per month. They where around 14 Terahash. I bought them during 2020, sold them later on and bought some GPU's
it's not used by most blockchains. it's actually become one of the least prevalent, most of the coins still using it are bitcoin forks. most coins are on pos (proof of stake) and the few that are still on pow (proof of work) are mostly gpu/cpu centric, like monero, ravencoin, etc. a lot of the older coins like dash and litecoin have asics for them because of the time they've been around.
pos sucks
I am judging how messy your desk is at the moment
😆 🤣 😂
Never understood how you mine bitcoin.
Non technical explanation you are trying out variables in a complex math problem and if the used variables result in certain pre-determined solutions you get a reward.
Lmao it's just stealing trace amounts.
Aint no way bro
you makin negative dollars
That reddish selfie light (sun set?) pops your eye color very good. Use it more often. The other close up looks a bit dull.
They really do need a fan
I miss the days of mining bitcoin on my netbook :c
Used to do that in school, between fountains, minor investments, and some luck I made like $100
The way to make money from the miner is to make a video like this and earn the ad revenue
Where is the raspberry pie ? 🤤😋
RUclips SHORTS didnt exist when this video was made.
It should be a war crime to not have a case for your pi
hide that pi pi xD
bro could launch some nukes if he wants .
Your desk is messy?? 😂
how much did you spend on electricity? your putting money in with that old miner...
I didn't notice your messi your desk until you point it out
Secure hashing algorithm SHA taking 256 bits at a time and doing hashing function to produce hash bits
The ant miner doesn't overwhelm the USB port? I can't even plug in a basic RGB keyboard.
Used to have an Antminer! Never used it though.
10 years too late for this to work
so Ryan Reynolds a miner now?
Sha 256 is used by Bitcoin which is the only notable Blockchain worth mining.
Profitability is $-0.02 every 24 hours. That's 0.00000001 BTC mined per 24 hours. That mean $7 every year
Dude use a pool
Literally a short made for timesaver 9000.
Realizing and acknowledging that your desk is messy is the first step to making it tidy. Mine's still messy...
Working out how he will make money from the existing tech is the idea . . . cos he made nufffink here here ...blessings ...
When deadpool get smarter.
I love CSMinors I have 29 in me basement
Cool Gamer Minors
Try mining monero with the raspberry.
One of my biggest regrets in life is not poring every extra cent i had in to bitcoin in the early 2010's....
That vocal fry 😖
The power of the pie... against GPU? :)) Is like conpare Mario (game) against StarCraft2
The whole point of that stuff is to be a lottery miner. It’s unlikely to hit anything but it’s ~25 cents a year for a chance at a full block reward
how much is a full block?
@@CouchPotator 6.25 but it half’s every so often so a lot of money
Fun fact... One Bitcoin transfer generates about 370kg of equivalent CO2

I thought it was Josh Dallas A.k.a "Ben Stone" from manifest in netflix 💀💀💀
nah they have to be twins lmao
Those devices are the lottery tickets of bitcoin mining. You solo mine and maybe (never) someday you will solve a block.
Is it true that nice hash is not safe. Idk i heard that somewhere
Nope not true, anti-virus might hit on it, it being a miner does that
@@acidthefurry6684 makes sense
They need cooling or they thermal throttle loosing you speed and money.
Looks easy
What about litecoin or something over a week?
why would i need such a giant gpu, when i could just mine on a usb stick?
He still got some views. So it is still a win.
Wanna learn more from you please 😢
Minor?
This is pretty neat. Thanks.
i wonder, with current price, is it still profitable mining btc? with monthly electricity expenses and maintenance
If you have free electricity and a beast of a mining rig, sure 😅
There is a reason miners sell their rigs... you dont make money anymore.
Yeah... *you*
Big companies are.
Dip the heatsink in cold water
Here's a hint... about the same amount you can make selling ocean front property in Arizona.
Why wasn't it accepted?
so its just an inefficient heating element
Imagine feeling cool when doing apt get
There was a time when mining with such an USB device was profitable.
And before this, there was a time when people mined some Bitcoins out of fun and because they thought Bitcoin could be a good thing.
But this has long gone, it's no use and it's no fun.
what about monero?
I was really hoping he'd make 0.00001 cent but was disappointed
I can say he could solo mine and if lucky and stuck gold he could of make 6.25 btc which is ultra rare
Does a blockchain actually mine crypto?
Mine Doge coin, at least it will be a fun joke.
You are like Ryan ronalds
Better off joining a mining pool buddy rather then trying to get one on your own buddy even with massive equipment the chances of mining a crypto is slim
That didn't age well....
0 because it's very very competitive and just don't bother
How can I get access to this miner
My patato laptop also falls in same category.
Yeah, basically you won’t make any at all. It’s not powerful enough and not efficient enough. It’s only good if you are like really, really lucky like harder then winning the lottery lucky and you hit a block (bitcoin) solo mining which has occurred two times for all I know. Also, the reason why that metal is hot is because that’s the cooler that they use because basically that USB thing is just a small part cut out of an ASIC miner which ASIC miners use powerful fence to make a wind tunnel and for those USB sticks they recommend you use a small little fan too.
none, 0, nada. Saved you the watch.
Not a single cent if you mine bitcoin.
Use that thing for a cloud server or something with utility; crypto is monopoly money...
From the second I saw that I knew it would be 0
any crap strawberries?
I was told money makes money.
Good idea, if the device is worthless then upload a video about it to make money from RUclips.
You are mining with the antminer not the pi
You’re honestly better off mining monero with xmrig
If you have 1000 one you will get 50 dollars every day and after 100 day you will get price for another 1000
Try mining monero
Does anyone actually know anyone that's cashed out Bitcoin? Never heard or seen it.
the antminer is basically e-waste
No fucking way he abbreviated algorithm while talking
Ya use linux? Nice to know
Of course you didn't hash out any bitcoin in 24 hrs. Most BTC has already been mined so its just going to take a really long time to mine more. Why not try some of the other crypto currencies?
you need a 4090
Why does any algorythm recommend this...
Living in the past ?
Zero, Your welcome.
Can you mine Bitcoin on a 2014 low end laptop??
Yes leave it running 24 hours and you might make a few pence, take away electric and your at a loss
