For all those asking about resting the wholewheat dough it doesn't have to be specifically 12hr but I thk the dough need to rest to release the gluten!so I made mine on a Saturday night and used it on Monday afternoon I just warm my milk slightly the result was amazing and the dough came out so soft!

Whole wheat flour doesn't absorb moisture as easily as regular flour. It has bran, which is some of the "shell" of the grain, and it regulates how quickly the seed absorbs moisture so it doesn't rot before its ready to sprout. In general terms, of course. 🧐 So a recipe with any kind of whole grain will not only need a bit more liquid, but some extra time in which to absorb it. I use the same "trick" when I bake cakes with nut "flours" and it works beautifully!
There is about the equivalent of 1/4 teaspoon salt in 1/2 cup salted butter, so you can adjust your recipe accordingly and the flavor will be comparable.
Ahaha I ‘ll try to answer then, personnally I made it around 4 pm and took it back the next afternoon. And I had no problem baking it, even it had sat in the fridge for around 24 hours
