- We stumbled on one of my dream cars, 1940 Willys Coupe with a steel body! We couldn't pass this opportunity down! But not only did we get the Willys, We got a package deal and brought the 1931 Ford 5 Window Coupe home also! Dragging cars from a garage that have sit for a long time is always a great experience, but when it's a dream car it makes it even better!

Guys got literally Millions of $'s worth of cars, COOL ! I am getting a 40 Willys, this film is excellent, helpful, mine will receive a 392 Hemi, of course, what else ?
Great lookin project Willys. My buddy had a 41 he built with a blown hemi before he passed on. Always loved those cars even before seeing the movie Hotrod.

Great find my buddy and I have built 2 both glass bodies a 40 and 41 both with blown motors 41 had a blown 498 40 blown early 392 hemi

Wish I hadn't sold my 40 Willys. It was all steel but missing the trunk lid. I'll never find another. Now I'm building a 71 Cuda and dropping a 426 Hemi into it. I had a 426 for the Willys but sold it separately.
You Dad use to drive that willys to softball games he took pastor Scarberry for a ride in it

That 31 has a serious channeling job. I used to do that engraving back in the day, lol. Keep that old Lacquer paint, can't get that anymore. I bet she will clean up nice. I think Art Morrison makes a modified frame for this 40 Willy's. Thx, great video.

That left rear fender fits just like the stock fenders fit back then . Fit and finish was terrible back in the day , which is why all of the manufacturers used fender welting to hide the gaps .

I understand. My dad past in November. I have his last project car in my garage. It has been hard to work on it but with help from my brother. We are slowly getting things done. Good luck with the Willys. Can't wait to see it on the channel.

Not related to your Willys (lol)..but do you have any experience with a machine shop for repairing windows in aluminum blocks? I have a few 69 zl1 blocks that I need to get repaired but I’m looking for a good referral.
I wish I could help, but I do not know anyone that’s experienced in that.

Whoever did this up with the parts of a Corvette is possibly done of a better that broke in half those C 3's tended to do this I've seen it a couple of times personally. The movie Gumball Rally had a Corvette break in half Kind of freaky Bam! No traction from the rear wheels in a moment you might really desire controll of the car
