I just received some photos back from one of the editors from pixlmob and im very impressed, i just wanted to leave a comment to say thank you for the content you make, im starting my own photography business and its a good feeling to see everything lining up. 😎
@pixlmob I’m a regular user of Pixlmob and what I’d like to see is text message notifications for when the editor wants to speak with you or when your order is completed. I’d also love to see an app in the future. What I don’t like so far is that we have to order the pro enhancements for all the photos of our set. Sometimes, we just need a reflection removal on one picture for example, so I’d like to be able to order the correction for this photo only. To go around that issue, we have to make two separate orders, which is not the most convenient thing. Besides that, I love it! Thanks Mike for making me discover the platform!
Thanks for the feedback and great ideas Alexandre! We've passed this on to our dev team to see how we can implement new notification options and better pro enhancement selection. Glad you're enjoying the platform!
Thanks Mike! You released this video at exactly the right time for me! I just joined a Facebook group looking for an editor and was bombarded with 20 message requests, friend requests, and emails on my website. This seems a whole lot better!
Thanks Mike! Very helpful. I have to rush a job today so I'm going to give Pixlmob a try. Seems like the first editor didn't take the time to replace the blue sky behind the trees. Appreciate your eye for coloration. I agree only the one editor used a good grass texture for grass replacement. The chunky ones were a bit in the uncanny valley.
I'm almost done with your new course and I'm finding it excellent. I'm doing pro shoots and really just starting to get jobs for real. Pixlmob is awesome and I'm going to use them. I have a shoot in a week and this is great news for me. THANK YOU
Love your videos. Are you sending all your photos unstacked? I’m going to try this, but didn’t know if I send them all five exposures of each picture for HDR? I’m a newbie. 🙂
As always, great stuff Mike! Thank you for sharing! I think it would be really helpful if you could share a link to your original HDR photos so we could see what the editor had to work with. I imagine proper technique when the photos are originally taken play a big role in the quality of the end product as well. Thanks again and keep these types of videos coming! I appreciate you!
I’m new to your channel and I’m loving it so far very educational and updates. From this video I think the second editor was the best he got the most picture correct. I think this website is a great tool.
mike im new to real estate photography, Should I learn how to edit photos first or would it be fine to just outsource photo editing and stick to taking the pics and getting more jobs?
I like the concept of this service a lot. Unfortunately, the deal breaker for me here is that I need to upload the images to my own Dropbox account. Dropbox doesn't have speedy servers, as do some professional photo editing companies. When I try to upload any kind of volume to Dropbox, my upload time is in DAYS not HOURS. I'd recommend that this company put some high speed servers and connectivity on the back end, and have users upload directly to their own servers. IMO, that's what will make this service viable.
The platform is great, but it has a huge bug. Those are the lucky editors that will be randomly appearing at the top forever. There's not really a chance for the editors below. I hope this platform cares more about editors, otherwise photographers will only notice people at the top.
No problem! You just send them the raw photos. No need to do anything to them beforehand except go through them and take out any bad ones that you don’t want edited.
Hi Mike, do you have a video where you teach how to sort your photos before sending them to the editor? I’m looking for an efficient way to do this, because right now, my method is not the best when it comes to big shoots where I have a lot of files. What I do is open my photoshoot in Lightroom and then I do a quick HDR merge just to see the images in full size to delete the ones I don’t like. But then, I make a Google Drive folder to send it to the editor and I have to look at all the mini thumbnail on my SD card to select the files I kept… I’m sure there is a better way to do it all in Lightroom by exporting them or something else. I already tried a couple things in Lightroom, but I didn’t find a better way yet. Thanks!!
Thanks for great information. I try alot of editor and tell them Please not real estate style. edit more natural architectural style but photos come back again real estate style . 😀 I don't know how can I tell myself to them in correct way. Do you have any suggestions?
In Australia, you cannot replace elements of the property if they do not exist. It has to show the exact condition of the property as it stands "at the time of the shoot". So replacing the lawn would be considered "doctoring" and misleading. Replacing the sky is so obvious to the eye because the lighting is never the same unless the digital artist knows how to expose the sky in the same light as the image and have no masking burn around trees, branches and foreground objects. Same rules apply in New Zealand.
@@InsideRealEstatePhotography LOL - when I sold my house in Neenah WI, the image editing was seriously bad; The usual go to "over saturated colours". In one shot, the photographer replaced the sky but it was clearly a sky over Arizona because we could see the head of Cacti at window level! A first for Wisconsin I am sure! Keep up the good work Mike. x from NZ
There are certain requirements yes. To find out what’s accepted I would recommend checking out their website or contacting them directly. A good bunch of folks over there 😊
I am an editor on this platform. My advice is that photographers can hire editors with less reviews, editors with many reviews may not have time to focus on doing your work because it is too much.
Great review and a much needed service! Thanks, Mike! I signed up with Mike's link, and sent some tests, but do not see the credit automatically show that Mike's link hooked us up with. Has anyone else has this issue? Perhaps you have to send them a message, etc. which I did.
@@InsideRealEstatePhotography What is the fix for that? Do you message them up front to pay particular attention to the colors or request a revision if the edits are not accurate?
So if anyone is thinking about becoming an editor on pixlmob just stop. I tried, created a profile, submitted all the edited photos they required for verifacation and they didint even bother to check them. I contacted them over an email (they promisted to check them that week) and after over a month of waiting still no check or response.
Any idea how much $ pixlmob retains? The cost per image for top level editors would be a challenge for higher volume especially in markets with high shoot counts.

Great video!
But where is link for the 25$? I can't seem to find it
Thanks for great video i want to start my photography business but overwhelmed and concerned about editing
Can you use pixlmob long-term or should you eventually hire an editor into your company instead of outsourcing all the time?
I’m new to your channel and I’m loving it so far very educational and updates. From this video I think the second editor was the best he got the most picture correct. I think this website is a great tool.
Looks slick!
Thanks again for another great and informative video Mike!

I think its fine to outsource to get yourself going, I would definitely put in the effort to learn though as well.
Where do they upload the finished images to? I will definitely use these guys. Absolute time saver.
You provide a Dropbox link etc to where you want them to upload to
You’re the best! Thank you for this! Keep these helpful videos coming!! All real estate media vids help👍🏻

Pretty please. Are you sending full sized raw files out of camera without any pre-sets or corrections? Any size limits?
Yes, raw straight from camera, no size limits
What are the best settings to share images to pixlmob. Sorry about the question but I’m BRAND NEW to RE Photography 🤓

Send them some examples of the style you’re looking to emulate
Great inform for me👍
19:06 keep us updated when they have video edits available.
Can they do twilight/change the sky for exterior photos?
Yup, for sure!
Do you have any recommendation’s for a video editor?
I edit all my own videos. I haven’t found a good one. If you do let me know! Haha

does Pixlmob require that the photos are sent a certain way like Dropbox or Google drive.

Is there a website for video editors?
Also Mike. Is there a photo editing software that is a bit easier to use than Lightroom??
Possibly but I’m not familiar with any
I like Luminar Neo

Only seeing a $5 credit with your link. Might want to update your link description if that's the current offer.

Have you experienced many color accuracy issues with the editors?
That is a common problem with editors
@@InsideRealEstatePhotography What is the fix for that? Do you message them up front to pay particular attention to the colors or request a revision if the edits are not accurate?
@@Houston1906 they get most of them right or close enough. If any of them are too far off I just ask them to fix them.
